The rules (anyone can join):

This is about feeling better about yourself...not necessarily a diet per se etc etc

• Sunscreen at all times
• No or little booze. Wine at the weekend is allowed if you want it
• Walking is important, a small amount every day if possible. 30 mins if you can
• Lots of water, aim for 2 litres a day
• Apply body cream as often as possible
• Use hand cream
• Go to bed early, by 10.30pm if pos
• Eat healthily
• Be happy

The idea is that we all feel happier, healthier and glow with the good food, sleep, exercise, water and lack of sun damage.

Enid, well done. I am finding not drinking 5 nights a week fairly easy and it makes me appreciate it more at the weekend. I like the sound of vodka martini, shaken, not stirred but would almost certainly find the reality hideous as I don't like martini. Got pissed on it once when I was about 17 and even the smell has always made me gag ever since

I will start a new thread later for us all to be good on. Although I have 100% stuck to this diet since 5th May. And even 2 nights of wine/Champagne a week seems to be ok.

Just had cheese and tarragon omelette with mushrooms fried in butter, shredded raw spinach and a tomato. It was lovely.

Tried on all the La Redoute stuff and there's only 1 thing that's no good so I am v pleased .

I came home from the hospital last night and got completely monstered , on a left-over bottle of Christmas pudding wine too , although I retained a grip on healthy eating. Also managed to clock up 12,000 steps, but as these were inching our way along Waterloo Bridge Road with mum (honestly it was like a Giles Grandma Stop/Mo film) NOT ONE OF THEM WAS AEROBIC, a first for me and my puzzled Omron.
Dad has now entered the last chance saloon where they are chasing him round the ward with clippers and an all over antiseptic body wash. It being the weekend, of course the cardio, surgical and anaethesia people were on hand to tell us his chances , not. But his lovely nurse reckons he'll be fine
Am off to garden centre to round up hapless bedding plants to exterminate. Trasha the Niecelet and her retinue are doing the visiting today.
