All welcome

Veils drawn over last week...especially as it was half term.

Hello all,

The rules (anyone can join):

This is about feeling better about yourself...not necessarily a diet per se etc etc

  • Sunscreen at all times
  • No or little booze. Wine at the weekend is allowed if you want it
  • Walking is important, a small amount every day if possible. 30 mins if you can
  • Lots of water, aim for 2 litres a day
  • Apply body cream as often as possible
  • Use hand cream
  • Go to bed early, by 10.30pm if pos
  • Eat healthily
  • Be happy

The idea is that we all feel happier, healthier and glow with the good food, sleep, exercise, water and lack of sun damage.

Hello all, just popping in, before going off to the school fayre (oh joy of joys). Had very good day yesterday. I think the whole 'petrol and food' price rises play into our favour on this thread, as it encourages more walking and less eating!

www - see, no need to panic!

Have a good weekend everyone!

LoveAndSqualor · 14/06/2008 15:43

Hey all, mainly at your various assessments of my insanity - you are of course right, though in my defence I'd expected it to be something that I could easily do on top of my normal job for a nice extra bit of cash (v complementary role, too boring complex to explain). But in the event it was going to be much more work than I'd reckoned and on the whole I'm glad that sanity (not mine) prevailed! Bunting cupcake, here I come

www, that's absolutely fantastic about the weight loss. You must be able to really see it now. Onwards!

ureb, work sounds like a total farking nightmare. Down with management, I say.

moonshine - books where characters come out when everyone else is sleeping - I like this - Tom's Midnight Garden? I'm sure there are loads ...

Bootcamping a bit medium here. DS has gone haywire in the last couple of days - shouty, grumpy, up all hours of the night. Am hoping it's a growth spurt [wilful delusion]. Alternative (he is a tiny, red-faced, irrational dictator-in-training) too horrifying to contemplate ... . So, food has been a mixture of healthy (avocados, sardines on toast, risotto made with leftover chicken) supplemented with chocolate and wine. Have managed to dry brush, bathe, cream and use sun screen though. DP has taken DS off to a bbq, so currently the house is blissfully quiet and I'm off to read the paper/my book/fall asleep on the sofa. have great weekends!

TheDuchessOfNorksBride · 14/06/2008 21:38

L&S - Toms Midnight Garden was my absolute favourite book as a child. I was thrilled to see copies of it at the school book fair last week - it also reminded me to find my copy and read it to the DCs. DD2 is named after the female lead.

We're having a quiet weekend, pottering about in the garden and playing 'sports day' with the kids. Water good. Food, not much.

Moisturised hands, face & feet with lovely new Estee Lauder stuff, Crabtree & Evelyn body butter on everything else. And I'm still shrinking, I managed to do up another pair of last summers trousers this morning but didn't wear them as they're still a bit too tight. I can't believe I can do this after just 3 weeks. I am happily shocked!

Wishing everyone a lovely Sunday.

WideWebWitch · 15/06/2008 09:27

Ts, hope the fayre was good

L&S, hope this phase passes quickly for your ds and you enjoyed your time alone.

DofN, wow at still shrinking and that sounds like alovely weekend

Unknwn hope management tossers improve next week

Prufrock, sorry you've been feeling #####, and hoping next week will be better

Middling day yesterday, dh spent most of it doing boring chores like stopping our bedroom door squeaking while dd played with water in the sun and I watched and read from the shade of the doorstep.

Ate

2 sausage and egg muffins
spinach, salami, various cheese, prawns dipped in aioli
more cheese and salami and smoked salmon
tarragon chicken with spinach salad
Chablis

prob not enough water
but did use sunscreen
and have just ordered more as it's running out

PMSL at your computer censoring your language www!!!!! And also, starting a Site Stuff thread, and everyone else being able to swear! Love the idea of 'quotas!'

Prufrock · 15/06/2008 09:53

I love the idea of a non swearing www! School sports day and fete yesterday, which brought home that I have only 2 weeks to organise my pre-school trike ride, and therefore only 1 week and 2 days before I lose my boobs. I have only 1 night out between now and then so am determined not to drink and to be ultra healthy for the big day.

So start a new thread for us to be good on www.

Enid · 15/06/2008 10:03
