@Caggie09where in your haircare routine do you use the Colorwow dreamcoat? Is it a leave in conditioner?

I use it before i dry my hair, i actually orginally bought it because i got the Dyson Airwrap and read it helped with styling process. But i very rarely use my Airwrap now, still use the product though😂

Caggie09 · 16/11/2025 08:28

Im sure i seen someone on here mention the Tatcha fukubukuro. Im really loving the Dewy skin cream, and wondering if it's worth waiting until Jan to buy a refill for the extra goodies. Or, just wait until the cyber offers this month. It's not an urgent purchase, so i can hold off for now👀

That was me I think. I've mentioned it on a few threads. I'm not buying any Tatcha until this event as it's been good in previous years. They typically have 2 tiers of goody bags £100 and £200 spend. Both are nice to haves but if you like Tatcha it's worth parking big purchases you might have made to get the £200 spend one as that previously has had mostly full sizes.

Caggie09 · 16/11/2025 12:06

@OvaHere Thanks for the info! I am thinking to hold off for now, as i have used a few bits from Tatcha and so far im impressed. I would see the goody bag as an extra to try other products out. Plus if i wait, i can use more stuff up in the meantime!

notnorman · 16/11/2025 12:49

I’ve got some teeny weeny eye cream to use up from last years Liberty calendar I think. Ty for reminder !

ITookYourJoob · 16/11/2025 14:02

Elizabeth Arden deodorant- my second one, still love it.

Lancome eye cream - been using it for years it seems. Still like it!

Lancome hydra zen - my second jar. Not that great, no wonder it’s always on sale.

Organic Shop eyepatches - pretty good! For the price definitely worth it.

Lancome serum mini - repeat.

Rodial lip oil - love it! Bought a few on Sephora sale.

Kopari body cream - my last one. Still really like it. Very nourishing and absorbs instantly.

Medicate tetra and daily c cream samples - definitely prefer the c- tetra but would need a bigger size to actually see results.

Sisley sample serum - very strong smell. Not for me.

Benetint sample - nice but I accidentally dropped it in the sink. I think it would’ve lasted a long time.

Sephora and Patchology eye masks - Both are very good.

Milk lip oil - My third one and I still have three more to go. I like it but I’m getting a bit bored.

waitrose shower gel - smells lovely! Great for 90p or so.

Some more empties:

De Ceracle Pro Balance cleansing foam - 150ml. This grew on me a bit. It gave a squeaky clean feeling when first washed off, which I don’t really like, but my skin actually felt lovely by the time I got out of the shower.

Pixi Glow Tonic - 250ml. Used on the backs of my arms because I don’t like using glycolic acid on my face. These exfoliating toners seem to do a good job at keeping the KP on the arms at bay.

Emma Hardie Brilliance facial oil - 5ml. Broke me out when I used it on my face so used up as a body oil.

Mini perfumes - Molecule Iris and Tocca Colette. Really liked both of these. Im into softer fragrances at the moment.

Clarins Supra Volume mascara. Loved this. Gave just the right amount of volume and didn’t smudge. Have bought a full size.

Future Primitive Glazed Lemon Spice body cream - 50g. Used as a hand cream. Smelled amazing, I love gourmand lemon scents.

Lush Mango Lassi shower gel - 120g. Wasn’t keen on the scent of this. The mango bit was nice but it had a weird underlying note that was verging on a bit sicky.

L’Oreal Glycolic Gloss shampoo & conditioner - 200ml/150ml. Don’t think this suited my hair type, seemed to make it fluffier rather than smoother.

Lush Toil and Trouble body scrub - 130g. From the Halloween subscription box. Smelled great. I find the Lush salt scrubs don’t last very long so not good value (the sugar ones are better).

Bath & Body Works Vanilla Romance body lotion - 236ml. Loved this scent (cardamom and vanilla) and this is my favourite body lotion formula.

Ouai St Bart’s body cream - 96.4g. Lovely beachy scent and it was a really good lotion too. Thick and moisturising but sunk in pretty much instantly.

New to this thread but love it, will look at older ones later!

Finished these this week:

Upcircle serum - not sure, think will probably repurchase but has bought the moisturiser to use both at the same time and the latter smells so bad that I couldn't keep going with it.

Phomollient - absolutely love this, will definitely keep buying.

Elemis balm - this used to be my go to and I thought I'd try again, but it just doesn't seem to take much make up off and makes my eyes sting a bit. Still adore the smell though.

Bath and Body Works fragrance mist - lovely but smell doesn't last. Bought it on holiday in Toronto but think Next sell BBW now.

There is a pic coming, I guess it's just being checked!

I'm checking in here 🎟️ This feels like rehab 🤣 I've gone mad over the last few months and need to rein it in and start using what I have. My name's Jo and I'm a shopaholic 🛍️💄💃

I wish I’d seen this before I went to the Good Housekeeping show last week; I would have saved a fortune and now I’m feeling foolish!

Caggie09 · 21/11/2025 11:23

Cellcosmet eye cream. I used this for a while and didnt like it at the time, so moved onto something else. It's too heavy for under my eyes, it's caused a Milia. I can also feel the product sitting on my skin and not absorbing. Just doesnt suit my skin type, maybe more for mature skin 🤷🏼‍♀️

Biodance bio collagen mask. I used this overnight, which might seem bit faffy and uncomfy. But it really wasnt, it was still on my face when i woke up😂 My skin looked plump and hydrated throughout the day. I think ill keep an eye out for deals during next week.

I have been missing in action for a while. Working on normal toiletries:

Sanex expert moisturising shower gel. Ok, does the job. Nothing fancy but is nice to skin.

Aveeno body wash. Another utilitarian shower gel. This one is the older version. Works fine. Nothing extraordinary.

Dettol bar soap. I drill a hole in the middle and put a string through it so I can hang it to dry in the shower. Mainly used to wash my armpits as bars are better at getting rid of bacteria.

Huggies wipes. Staple for many things. Remnants of my bottom wiping days for my children.

Deliplus tissue cat mask. Colourful fancy mask for children. It is smaller fir their face. 2 minutes in my DD had had enough. Mwntal note not to buy this things for them as it is a waste.

Lacura bonded conditioner. Not as bad as the shampoo but won’t be repurchasing any of this line.

Nenuco agua de colonia. The smell of my childhood. I put in a spray bottle abd comb my DD’s hair with it. Lovely. Have gone through many of them.

A little something body wash. Any shower gel that comes in a set tends to be rubbish as per my experience. This is no different. Although smells nice.
Colgate 0 to 2 toothpaste. DD wasn’t keen on the taste. It is not minty, mind.

Biogaia Probiotic cream. Meant for bums, used for my hands. Not keen on the smell or the texture. Felt like vaseline.

Colgate mini. Dd left it open so it dried.

OvaHere · 22/11/2025 13:24

Some empties. I took this rubbish photo a few nights ago so sorry about the shadow.

Another DDG Peel Pad - working my way through the box using one or two a week. I like them but I have had pretty good skin for a while so I'm not sure if that 'extra mile' is worth the cost of buying the boxes regularly. Think they may be one of those products I buy occasionally when on a good discount.

Sisley Ecological Compound mini - I like everything about this, the texture, the smell, seems quite hydrating. However I've not figured out what purpose it serves. Is it a serum or a light moisturiser? It's a very pricey product so don't think I would purchase because I have no idea where it actually fits in a routine or what benefits it's supposed to have.

Margaret Dabbs Foot Cream - I like all the MD foot products. They do work but you have to use them consistently.

Glow Recipe Plum Plump Serum - This is basically a slightly fancy hyaluronic serum and it's not cheap. It is my favourite formula I've tried though, I can't get along with all hyaluronic acids. I don't love GR packaging as I find their serums a pain to store due to the shape and a pain to get the last bits out of. Having said all that I would buy this again.

NIOD FECC - This is my 2nd bottle of this eye serum. I feel like it helps crepey eye skin but maybe I'm deluding myself. Bought another bottle during their BF offer.

Ritual of Sakura Deodorant - It's fine. I use it after the gym mostly. I've got another to use up. Won't go out of my way to re-purchase but would always use it if I acquired one.

Hera Lip Treatment - This was a gwp with a lip gloss and it's brilliant. I can't work out where or how you buy a full size of this so if anyone knows please say. I do have another gwp size to use up.

CorneliaStreet · 22/11/2025 17:24

@OvaHere I agree about the Glow Recipe packaging. Looks great but not very practical. I’m currently having to remove the nozzle thing out of the Dew Drops and try to tip the product out because the pump gave up with a third of the bottle left. (It is a lovely product though.)

OvaHere · 22/11/2025 17:27

@CorneliaStreet I don't think I've tried anything I didn't like but other than eye appeal the serum packaging is annoying.

Thereislightattheendofthetunnel · 22/11/2025 18:27

Another load of empties:

Head and shoulders apple fresh. Love this. Great for all the family.

Lacura detox shampoo. Surprisingly, is not as bad as the bonded one. Smells vinegary but it’s ok for the hair. A bit thick to go through the nozzle properly.

kerastase blonde absolu. I am no blondy so can’t comment on that. But it is a lovely shampoo with a good scebt. It was a gift with purchase but too expensive for my taste.

Bum bum body scrub. DD used this. I’m assuming it is good. Fab smell.

2 samples shampoo and conditioner absolute collagen. They are absolutely rubbish. Won’t be getting these.

Garnier frozen shampoo. It’s the rice milk one in a fancier packaging for children. Save your pennies and get the other one. Mild and nice. Would get the other one though.

unicorn peel off facemask. Had it for ages. Glad it’s finally gone. Dds used it.

Dr Pawpaw beach paradise styler. Lovely leave on conditioner. Smells so good. Purchased it in Home Bargains for 4£. It retails for triple the price. Very happy with it and bought a few. This is a limited edition sadly.

Thereislightattheendofthetunnel · 22/11/2025 19:29

And the finale for this time being:

Bonded hair mask lacura. The only one of the line that is ok. Considering the rest I won’t repurchase.

Kerastase cicaflash fortifiying treatment. This was amazing. Again I am not blonde. Is there one for brunettes? But left my hair so soft and the scent was great. This I would buy a full size. My tube came with the other GWP.

A tub of bath bombs that I could only use one as my DDs nicked them from my stash. They are from the scent doctor. They were ok but nothing special. Also they were white so normal bicarbonate which I prefer.

And now for my new edition of hotel woes and toiletries. Fresh shower gel. TBF was ok. Have other 3 to go.

I just did a partial chuck out of makeup. Going to do another shortly just to make sure that what I keep is proportionate and all useable. I started adding up how many $$$ I was putting in the bin (I threw out at least seven hourglass lipsticks ‼️😱‼️ and two holiday palettes that I never use - That was just the tip of the iceberg!) The next thing I thought about what I could possibly spend this money on… What do you think I thought I wanted to buy with this imaginary money? Makeup and skincare. What an idiot.

So fab to see this thread still going strong! We are certainly NOT alone in our addiction!!

@Francestein tis the circle of life 💜

I am ever so excited to have purchases a wax kit for the forest sprouting on my face! I cannot wait to use it!

I have an empty to report: Fenty primer - which I was given - think it got donated to charity but as had been opened they could not sell. Worked wonders with the Fenty Eaze Drop. Was going to replace with an elf primer and will do so in time but I still have some elf face grip which I will use up first. Have found that Simple hydrating light moisturiser also works well mixed in with the Fenty Eaze Drops. Man I love that stuff!

I am "gifting" on some haircare to a friend:
Loreal Elvive Dream Lengths shampoo, conditioner and leave in serum: too much for my oily roots
Pantene Grow Stronger shampoo and conditioner: find it quite drying on lengths

So after emptying my stylevana basket in a moment of great restraint, I’ve lapsed and remade my basket and have made an order 😂 in my defence I was going to use up the serums I have before buying more but actually I’ve decided I can’t be without the skin1004 centella ampoule (amazing for when my skin is feeling sensitive) so I ordered that plus a few other bits.. I’m making myself feel better about it as I don’t actually have a stash any more. It’s all very manageable so I feel ok adding these couple of things in. And I also have quite a few almost empties I’ll be posting about soon. Well that’s me trying to justify it any way :)
