What are you wearing?

Jc2001 · 07/11/2025 21:26

My birthday suit.

merrypoet · 07/11/2025 21:35

I had a lovely dinner at Ormer Mayfair last night and wore black jeans and a turtle neck jumper.

StarlightLady · 08/11/2025 06:52

I’m old school. It has got to be a LBD; little black dress with a touch of sparkle.

DarkForces · 08/11/2025 06:55

I'm wearing an a short dress with high neckline in bright autumn colours probably with black tights and brown knee high boots.

PashaMinaMio · 08/11/2025 06:59

A nice dress that fits me properly, hosiery & kitten heel. Light makeup and as much bling as I like. A spritz of expensive perfume and a small clutch bag.

If I was younger I might wear skinny black jeans or similar, with a heel and silky top or wide legged silky trousers with heels and a sparkly top.

Im a classic dresser. No mutton dressed as lamb here!

DonewhatIcando · 08/11/2025 07:02

Im wearing my brand new ankle length faux leather wide leg trousers, with a cream, silky, batwing, round neck blouse & black kitten heel slingbacks, I'm nearly 60 so you may not want my advice 😂

Worldgonecrazy · 08/11/2025 07:03

I’m currently loving tuxedo jackets . I have several ranging from plain with silk collar through to sequinned confections. They all have sufficient stretch to keep on whilst eating.

wear with preferred black trousers, and a set of heels.

So glad stilettos are seeing a return!

BCBird · 08/11/2025 07:07

I would not have anything suitable. If i was able to wear what I wanted and look good it would be a 1950s style dress, tights with line going up the leg, light make up with bold red lips and matching nails. Happy former days😅

SparklyCardigan · 08/11/2025 07:15

Jeans and my fanciest cardigan over a black top.

Stuckinhospital · 08/11/2025 07:50

Probably my black dress with a slight a line kick might straighten my hair don't really know how else to do it and then probably just my ballerinas... I don't go out much so limited in that regards i tend to buy as I go these days.

RollerSkateLikePeggy · 08/11/2025 08:00

@Worldgonecrazy please share some links to the tuxedos! I literally have no dressy clothes for cooler weather and really need something, so I am following with interest.

WoahThreeAces · 08/11/2025 08:04

Ooh I have this awesome black jumpsuit which is so flattering on me but too posh for anywhere I ever go. So I'd wear that, with a sparkly belt, heeled shoes, hair tied up and some huge statement earrings. I might need to go shopping for a suitable jacket though 🤔

Purplecatshopaholic · 08/11/2025 08:08

Black Vivienne Westwood dress with silver jewellery, and great shoes (probably sling back, kitten heels depending on weather). Classic

HelloCharming · 08/11/2025 08:27

I don’t think I have anything. But I’d go and look for a pair of wide leg trousers in teal or navy, maybe velvet and a silky blouse. Something with a bit of give so I didn’t have to undo the top button by pudding time…

FancyBiscuitsLevel · 08/11/2025 08:44

Hmm, either burgundy wide leg trousers with dark blue silk top and pointed flats, or high neck mini dress that’s very dark navy (looks black) with sort of peacock colours in a pattern, thick black tights and black boots.

Savethebric · 08/11/2025 09:48

Yes I want to see the tuxedo jackets too!

Plain black crew neck slim fit sweater and a midi sparkly skirt, either silver or dark green. Skirts by Wiggy kit.

You win. I’m too fat for my Westwood now and haven’t managed to find another that I like and can afford.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 08/11/2025 10:06

I’d wear a dress or skirt. The idea of wide legged trousers as evening wear depresses me a bit.

I’d either wear a silky Whistles mini dress or a silky All Saints midi dress with suede over the knee boots, I think.

JMAngel1 · 08/11/2025 10:14

A black midi assymetric hem lace dress with a fitted chocolate brown peplum jacket and chocolate brown mid heel ruched suede pointed toe boots. Then a huge velvet suede clutch pouch bag. Going to wear this tonight to a comedy event and dinner.
Big voluminous hair and dainty gold jewellery.

battenburgbaby · 08/11/2025 10:44

Black silky wide leg jumpsuit, black dangly earrings, sling-back flats.

I’ve got terrible legs, hate getting them out… so my wide leg sequin trousers are the best thing in my wardrobe! Don’t feel depressed for me.

damemaggiescurledupperlip · 08/11/2025 11:12

Wide leg brown velvet jeans (if M&S get them to me on time. Pointed slim heel boots underneath. A silk blouse on top, or maybe a toning polo neck

FateAmenableToChange · 08/11/2025 11:14

Cashmere, silk and denim. With almond toed kitten heal ankle boots. Gold jewellery.

mamagogo1 · 08/11/2025 11:24

Knee length or longer dress plus my smart cardigan if temperature requires (it’s so warm here currently for winter, was wearing a thin top out last night at pub) shoes are tricky as hate heels but they are my only decent shoes, if I had time I’d look for some new ones that are low heels.

we rarely do smart as around these parts, smart = clean tops and jeans without holes or knitted jersey dresses perhaps, sailing jackets are the coat of choice. You really notice the difference when travelling to northern England where clothing is smart, obviously planned and make up worn
