I find M&S even if they smell nice, after few minutes they smell cheap to me. Zara do better with dupes but they also need to be tested and let breathe for about 20/30 minutes before deciding

SOTD is Guerlain Ambre Samar. Unfortunately it doesn't look like it's included in today's 20% off from liberty 😕

Do let me know what they say when they come back to you. Seems a bit mean if they don't and we are willing to pay thr extra.

Of course I may go for another fb completely after trying the discovery set.

SOTD is DVN Chamomile satin again - wasn't too sure about this one but growning on me now. Lavendar can be a hard note to get right in perfumery but this is expertly blended with vanilla

I’m using up some fresher scents that only have a bit in before winter. SOTD is Molecule 01+ Mandarin. I like most of the 01+ versions but I probably would purchase anything from Escentric now.

i also tried the granado tropicalia which is absolutely lovely and just up my street with pistachio and carrot! I was expecting from the name something pineappley or coconutty just goes to show how names can be deceiving. Forgot which kit this came in thinking possibly the HN as they have a big granado display in the one near me but it's not a brand I've ever really got in to before as it seems a bi out of place in the likes of HN, like it's more a mid range brand. Not that I'm fussed but I think of the quality, known brands when I think of HN.

So glad you mentioned the grand discovery kit and for once in my life so glad I'm an impulse buyer, as it has now sold out. Hope you managed to get hold of one before it did.

@IDontHateRainbows the DVN Chamomile Satin sounds amazing. Interesting about the Granado, I’d dismissed the brand as soapy smells based on all the ones I’ve received in edits.

SOTD is Givenchy Irresistible. Just a tiny sampler. It's a very nice scent, sweet candy/rose with a hint of soapyness but just cosy enough for an autumn day. It is a bit generic 'designer' fragrance iykwim but these sometimes are just nice to wear and very inoffensive.

Yep, it's from the HN fragrance advent calendar 🥰 I really like it too. I bought the Granado Esplendor perfume from the Liberty advent calendar on vinted and I like it that much that I bought another when I spotted someone selling it for £15. To me, the Tropicalia is more summer scent, I was expecting it to smell a bit pina colada-ary too, whereas the Esplendor is more autumn spelling.

I didn't buy it, but I have no regrets as I have few shops with byredo near home and work and I know what I want. % discounts on cyber Monday as Space NK did last year could work better for me. I really only want Bal D'Afrique absolu, I don't want to spend 195 euro if they are excluded. They do release this set on and off, so I expect they will come back again. Happy you make use of the deal!

I like Tropicallia too, not as much as Pistachio D&S Durga but a lot more then Kayli Pistachio Gelato

I ordered an Arkive fragrance set from M&S and when it's arrived, two of the four are missing. I assume that someone has ordered it, taken out their favourites and then returned!

The YSL order I did on my husband's phone has arrived, the box was all battered and so were some of the boxes of the freebies, not too surprising as it's been all around Europe 🤣 I'm not sure what I think of the black opium glitter, it's not as sweet as I was expecting. I like it but don't love it. I also don't know if I like Libre or not 😕 Thankfully the gift set I bought for my nephew and the aftershave for my husband were both unbashed 😊

Fugazzi purple tonight, the parma violets one. Still nice but not one id reach for every day. I do like the smell of violets. Not really got on with Fugazzi before, found their perfumes a bit brash and in your face.

Tropicallia is not for me, it reminds me of killian princess and I didn't get on with that either.

I skin tested Million Gold For Her Rabanne and its very much ok perfume, its sweet, pretty and forgettable. I will use the mini I have, not something I would buy myself. The ylang ylang is not too sun screeny and while very forgettable its nice.

I am little disappointed I have not found love in any of the 3 advent calendars yet this season. The only one I have found was in store Jo Malone Sandlewood and Spiced Apricot

I'm not sure I have made any new 'great loves' from this years frag ACs but some new likes for sure. Shout out for Brompton Immortals and Ganymede from Harrods. Also spiky muse. Getting into ex nihilo as a brand more, I guess that's why they go in the ACs, for brand exposure. disappointed that Byredo didn't make much of an appearance this year, only the blanche absolu and i'm not an aldehydes fan, but the grand discovery kit will make up for that.

Still to try Angel's share which I think I'll like from the scent profile

Jazz club today. I know MMR can be weak but I must be going nose blind as I can barely smell it. I daren't put any more on as it's an office day and I already have quite a reputation - although a couple of ladies in the office are fellow perfume fans.

I've yet to try Brompton Immortals but I'm excited to do so. I've not opened Valaya either yet, but I've tried it in town and love it. I'd say out of the 3 FACs I've bought, I love more out of the Harrods one. I do love sirene from HN, but I loved that one before I bought it and it was one of my main reasons for buying it. I do really like the dedcool and you Doux from SpaceNK. The Jo malone in harrods is also really nice, it's the first Jo malone one that I've liked. I'm looking forward to wearing you Doux and bdk gris Charnel together, I think that'll be gorgeous 🥰😍

Sana Jardin Sandal wood temple. I bought this 5ml one on vinted as it was one out of spacenk FAC that I wanted to try, hoping it would stop me from buying the AC, obviously it didn't work 🤣 I think it's woody, warm, cosy and perfect for autumn 🍂

Trying Kayali Milky Oud today. I bought the sample set on discount plus a voucher for £8. It arrived this morning. It has in it Milky Oud, Chocolate Oud, Rose Oud and Vanilla Oud.

Milky Oud smells similar to Commodity Milk and MP Vanilla Powder. I like it as it's my kind of scent but probably wouldn't purchase anytime soon due the similarity to others.

Interested to try the Chocolate one. I'll do that tomorrow or later this eve.

I think Vanilla Oud is the one DS has and is one of his faves.

Woo hoo, that's made me happy as mo ghost absolu was on my wish list.
Of course I may discover another favorite when I get the set. Alto astral is a contender, but I have a 10ml sample on order and whilst lovely, its one that can get a bit much to wear all the time.
