Ooh I haven’t decided yet and I might copy you

What’s your thoughts on it?

I've also got the discovery box from, ahem, the perfume society debacle but haven't opened it yet, is it any good? Not heard of this brand before. Was debating whether to save it and give as an Xmas gift.

My overall thoughts on the Ataratma dicovery box was:
A beautiful concept, all the fragrances have a meditative, elegant tone, and you can tell they’ve been blended with care.

That said, I personally found the collection a bit too subtle for my taste. Most of the scents sit quite close to the skin, and the compositions lean more towards calm and balanced than bold or emotive. If you enjoy soft, natural, spa-like fragrances that create a gentle aura rather than make a statement, I think you’ll really appreciate this set.

If, however, you tend to prefer more characterful or distinctive fragrances, you might find, like I did, that they’re pleasant but not love material.

I’d say keep it if you want something mindful and understated for quiet moments, unwinding, or even going out walking, days out with the family, or even after swimming, spa days or exercising. I will wear them for wfh and keep my love fragrances for going out and about. If you’d rather wear perfumes that feel more expressive or memorable, it might make a lovely gift for someone who enjoys softer, meditative scents.

Verdict: I enjoyed sampling them and love discovering new houses, but none of these are rebuy material for me, which is probably a good thing as the FS bottles are spenny 🤑 Shakti Saffron and Kama Carnal are the standouts for me but I think there are similar, cheaper options out there ⭐

There are loads of others in the essence Deluxe box to try out without opening the Ataratma dicovery box 🥰 get it cracked open and enjoy 🩷

Finally Harvey Nichols have said (in writing) that they are refunding me - but it will take 10 working days to hit my account. No it won't! It will take 10 working days for them to keep my money in their coffers and cream off interest! Absolute bull crap. I won't believe it is happening until it actuallly clears into my account as I have completely lost trust in this company and unless i'm physically in a store and can hold the item in my hand I won't be buying from them again. But at least I have something in writing now after a continual fob off.

The brand is new. It only launched this summer.

IIRC you got two sets, so you can always open one and gift the other.

SOTD is PDM Oriana, although I may have to wash a bit off as I have a meeting this afternoon. I got this bottle with the Harrods AC last year and wasn't keen but it's growing on me.

Edited

I'm glad they're finally refunding you. Absolute jokers! 🤡

I really wish I'd managed to get the Harrods fragrance calendar last year. I really like oriana, unfortunately it's not in the PDM countdown calendar 😔 I bought a bottle on vinted where the person said that they'd only sprayed it a few times for wedding photos, but when it arrived, there was less than half a bottle there so I sent it back. I'm using my tiny sample sparingly for now and hopefully it'll be in a calendar or something soon and I get my grubby hands on it 😍

Vyrao free 00 has grown on me a lot over the course of the day. Despite saying earlier it didn’t last, I could still smell it on my wrists (granted with my nose right to it) up to only a few hours ago and very faintly even now. Definitely a skin scent. I kept catching whiffs of it during the day thinking what’s that nice smell? It was me! 😂 I have a 10ml and will happily use it up. It’s soft and pretty, not very impactful but very easy to wear.
