SOTD is Vilhelm Parfumerie Dear Polly. Warm, smoky figgy tea. I love this. If I hadn’t found this thread with all you lovely people, I wouldn’t have signed up to Liberty Beauty Drop. And I wouldn’t have had the little sample in July’s box and I wouldn’t have gone all spendy on a bigger bottle. Oops! 🤦🏼‍♀️

Well, you sold original item and can provide receipt how you acquired it. His disliking of the perfume doesn't mean that you are at fault, you are not perfume shop or producer.

After a brief explanation he has now accepted that this is what perfumes are (generally) made of - excepting oil based of course - you get a lot of chancers on ebay and as a business seller I have to do no fault return/refunds but I wasn't falling for it.

The Bibbi Vanilla Factory in the recent liberty kit is also nice, if you have that one or get the chance to try. It's quite similar, possibly a little sweeter.

@IDontHateRainbows Oh good! I ordered the kit yesterday after studying Fragrantica. It seems like such a great selection. The only fragrance in it that I know I won’t like is Liberty 1875, so I’ll be looking to swap or give away that one.

Ì can appreciate bubblegum type of upbeat tuberose like in the givenchy l'interdit range but I don't like 1875

@MiaN Ah, I wonder if it’s the tuberose I’m not keen on? I got a small bottle of L’interdit in a John Lewis cracker and I won’t be using it. You’re welcome if you’d like it?

Thank you, I used to collect them ( the l'interdit editions) but sold all but one in the summer. I don't need anymore but I appreciate the offer.

SOTE is bdk rouge smoking extrait. This one i do like the extrait version. Its not as bright or sweet as the original but I like the deep dark effect.

I have had two eBay moans about perfumes so far - one complained that Escentric Molecules 01 didn’t smell of anything on him (erm, read the reviews) and another one claimed that Vanilla Powder didn’t last long on him. Vanilla. Powder.

SOTE is Ataratma Tonka Bala, which is perfect for a dark, rainy night like tonight. It’s soft, creamy, and gently sweet with a soothing, cosy warmth, just like wrapping yourself in proper snuggly layers 😍

DD and I went to the Jarrolds customer loyalty evening this evening and tested lots of fragrances. I bought a 7.5ml Angel's Share because I had a 10ml before and it's nearly run out. I don't wear it in summer but this time of year I love it - it's so cosy and delicious. DD was horrified by the price but has promised me that when she's a bestselling author, she will buy me a big bottle of it!

Went to Selfridges today and they’ve rearranged the beauty hall (Birmingham) completely. I don’t like it. Also too many pushy salespeople waving strips under my nose. Had to leave as it was too overwhelming for my poor nose.

Vyrao free 00. This one is really light, more of a skin scent. A touch too white floral for me but pleasant enough. Something to wear when you don’t necessarily want people to know you’re wearing fragrance but that you just smell nice. Wish there was more citrus though and doesn’t last very long on me.

Wood Sage and Sea Salt, I will bring travel size to top up. Office day with meetings in small room. I love this scent, I forget how nice it is but I wish it was little stronger

I honestly don't know how much of my appreciation of Turn the Page is due to the fact that it reminds me so much of perfume I adore. I said it before I have a box with memory perfumes, alien and jadore. I don't want to wear anymore but I keep a bottle in box as I have repurchased multiple times over few decades. The set I ordered comes with 10 and 50ml and 10ml will go in the box.

It makes me little sad that the perfumes I buy now didn't have chance to be as significant to me as I have too many to associate period of time with one or two.

Oooh @MiaN i know exactly what you mean. Thameen Bravi just brings back me being heavily pregnant summer 2024 when I wore it all the time. It brings back memories of waddling around a theme park with my toddler. That’s why I didn’t wear it this much this summer 😂. So you could say it allows you to enjoy the feelings of the perfumes purely!

If I try to describe Turn The Page - its green vanilla, but nothing like gypsy water. It's fall/winter or evening perfume. Its feminine, cozy and also se*y. Let's see how I get on with it, will it be something I still like to wear now? Jadore, Alien and Midnight Rain were the 3 perfumes I repurchased and used in my 30s. I had few others but never repurchased any of them.

Did anyone try turn the page? What did you think of it?

Vyrao Witchy Woo. Stuck to it. Sprayed it from further away rather than right up close and it’s more immediately pleasant. I wonder how many perfumes I thought were horrid and way too strong would have benefited from a distant spray.

SOTM Ataratma Aikyam Rose from the Ataratma dicovery box. It's a very gentle scent, the rose is warm and there's a subtle hint of spice.
