@ScottishMouse that has to be a record for quickest sale parcel of all time! Impressive.

I was pleasantly surprised to see so many items being marked down considerably, which to me seems like the right move.

Despite that, I am feeling the change of season and more focused on honing in on preparing for the cold ahead, so haven’t purchased any summer items. I struggle also with the out of season things and nothing from my wish list appeared anyway.

The excitement of upcoming Toast sales is a real glimmer for me in my life and I wonder if the anticipation and all the chatter and hope is a bigger part of why I have come to find Toast as a hobby.

I hope everyone finds something they love and if not, there’s the dreamy curiosity of the next drop!

Thank you @IlovePond . I only ordered one thing, but in two sizes to compare. I ordered one mid afternoon and one in the evening, but disappointingly neither has been despatched yet. I'm sadly prepared to be disappointed.

I do agree with everyone saying that it seems wrong to buy summer things in September. I envisage wearing the denim top I have ordered with a thick thermal under it if it does arrive.

I’ve only had a dispatch email for my first order. Nothing yet for the other two. I went back in to order a checked cotton linen smock and then last night a poplin sundress in a dark navy as it had such good reviews.

As someone in the previous thread said, it seems to be mainly small sizes left now so I think my credit card is safe 😅

Yes @MiracleToast - much bigger discounts on the older stuff than normal.

Smallest sizes always seem to hang around. I wish the Toast website allowed me to weed out items where my sizes are sold out (looks like it should but doesn't work that way)- or am I missing something?

As I’m in France until mid October I’m reluctant to buy much in the sale as I’ll be out of return period .
I should have liked to get the FM sandals in Chalk , but too risky .
I just ordered that Royal Blue Striped Poplin Dress as I have the navy padded gilet that it’s shown with and love them together.
I sized down to 6 from usual 8 , the 8 was sold out anyway. Fingers crossed it won’t be tight across the back ; does anyone own that dress?

I still haven’t had a despatch note - I suppose they are very busy, but there doesn’t seem to be much method to the order in which items are shipped. In previous sales, I have had despatch notes within an hour or two for some orders and not others. This time I have just the one order, so can’t compare!

I bought a pair of reworn Solovair monkey boots. They don’t seem to have been worn at all, but they do appear to have been squashed so I can’t tell how well they fit. Currently sitting with shoe trees in, hopefully in a couple of days they should be a better shape so I can try them on properly.

Yes, good title @IlovePond and thank you! My reworn orders arrived today and the clogs (Blundstones) which are lovely but too big so they're going straight back, also a wool cashmere midnight jumper which was supposed to be in VGC but isn't - it's also very fitted to the point where I think the sleeves seem to be shrunk, and the spice coloured version of the cotton linen trousers which I love in green. Unfortunately spice is way too orange. The cotton linen easy sweater in dark navy which I thought might be too small isn't! It's also brand new and it looks really lovely so I'm going to hang onto it for a bit and see how it is under a coat

Both sales orders have been despatched but I think they'll be here by Monday as one's still in Swansea and the other is just expected. Sorry about your scarf being cancelled @CakeAndJazz . I tried to buy a pretty little one too but it was sold out

On the face of it, it seems like entirely the wrong thing for a 5’2” 50-something with a bust and a menopausal tummy. But I tried it on a few weeks ago and can’t get it out of my head. I would normally be a M in a dress and that did fit, but was a little too figure hugging in places (it’s not very fitted, but my belly really is very menopausal!). The L though looked good over a neat jumper (like it is styled on the website) or with a loose jumper over it so it looks like a skirt. I wonder if it is a totally impractical buy though and if I wouldn’t get much wear out of it in reality. Anyone else got/tried it and have thoughts about styling it? Thanks.

@ScottishMouse - thank you. It's not a bad success ratio for Reworn actually - one out of three. The clogs I might well buy once the size 5s reappear.

About that dress: I would want to try it on at home and do as much walking as possible before deciding. I think it might be the kind of thing that could only look good if you spent the entire day standing very still and would cling in odd places if you walked about

Yeah, this is a good point @faustina. I think it might be a lovely to have in another life piece. It definitely wouldn’t work for my work, so that already limits its use. I used to have a lovely ribbed wool straight up and down skirt from Toast and I ended up selling it as I couldn’t get on with it. It was much more fitted than the dress, but I had forgotten about that skirt until you said that.
it also seems like the kind of piece that might make it to sale after Christmas. And even though I don’t want to buy out of season, there is still plenty of winter left up here after that.

My first orders yesterday have been dispatched but not in the order they were ordered. I went back in today and ordered a shirt in the different colour it comes in after reading the reviews of the white one. Most will probably go,back. I definitely don’t need another summer dress and have ordered 3. I love summer .

@ScottishMouse It does look very cool but like Faustina I should be afraid of putting it IRL test .
I have always loved a sweater dress but they were in thicker wool and always seated , I do like Toast cashmere/wool but find it needs constant depilling and usually baby them a bit more than other makes. Cos 100% cashmere wears like iron in comparison.

Decided a cosier name was due for autumn 🍁🍂🦔 as it's a bit chilly now for Poplin .

I think it's quite pricey for something with no sleeves and Im not sure how well it would wear.

I ordered two sale parcels on Thursday afternoon and no dispatch notice yet, still just ‘order received’. They must have been swamped yesterday.

I now have 4 copies of this:

My sale orders arrived today without any notification from RM.
Decho sun hat - keeper
Slate boxy tee - keeper (already have the green)
Check cotton linen patch pocket trousers - this is the type of trouser I wear all the time, but there’s something about the volume and shape of the material round the crotch that seems odd - not sure on these.
Olive fine knitted tank - I ordered this in a L so it wasn’t too fitted, but I don’t think it works for me - return.

I’m also still dithering over the full price High neck cotton tee, the neck is not something I’m used to and I’m thinking it might just sit in my wardrobe unworn 🤔

@Theteapotsbrokenspout - I've ordered the check cotton trousers too. I think I tried on the terracota version and returned them - but I'm giving them another shot because the online photos make me really want to like them. I suspect I'll have the same reservations you do.
