I have started a new thread for all things Toast related !

No despatch message for me. I am getting a bit worried as it’s a lot of money to have in limbo.

There does seem to be little rhyme or reason to order dispatch. I ordered well into the afternoon on thurs so didn’t expect them to dispatch until Friday, yet it arrived Friday. And some of you who ordered around the same time have had no dispatch note at all yet. I’m sure there is a system, but it seems rather obscure.
I have packed up everything to return. Tried the crinkle trousers on again this morning and they are just a bit too big. I’m not going to compromise just because they are in the sale, and I will save my pennies for new season things coming soon.

Yes, does seem random sequence - my early order (14.10) and late addition of Puck dress (19.20) have both been despatched and RM has notified arriving Monday (standard shipping).

RM says I’ll get mine Thursday 😕. Dispatched yesterday. Ordered on Thursday. The extra order yesterday still not dispatched.
It’s a horrible day here and I’m wearing the barrel leg cords. I’m hoping they add a nice brown to these for the next drop. I find them very comfortable and I’m glad I kept the smaller size as they certainly have a bit of give. Has anyone else any hopes for the next drop?

My first sale order arrived today: the darted cotton twill trousers and the panelled cotton twill trousers in russet, phosphorite green and oilcloth and the last pair (Kathe flat front cotton twill trousers in dark pear) are arriving on Monday. I'm not sure which I'll keep yet because they're all quite nice so far and miraculously none of them are too long! Might have to keep two pairs

Still no despatch note for me, but an email saying they have refunded the socks as they were sold in error.

I am annoyed!

I have emailed expressing my disappointment and also asked when I can expect a despatch notification.

I wonder if staff have been running round the warehouse shouting: ‘Socks! Socks! Where the heck did we put Pond’s socks?’ and that’s the cause of the delay 😹😹😹

I’ve decided to try the macro gingham trousers to see if they’re a better fit than the check pair. They’ve got terrible reviews so I don’t hold out much hope.

@Theteapotsbrokenspout - if I still don’t have a despatch note by Monday I will be phoning CS. I have a bad feeling I am not getting any of it, and I really want those FM sandals, (which are now sold out in my preferred colour!)

I’ve just had an email saying they’ve refunded me for an item as they’ve just realised they can’t fulfil the order. They confirmed and dispatched the order on the day the sale started. The parcel is due according to RM on Monday 🙄

Lovely to read all of your sale orders. I have gone for the jersey cotton shirt in slate, sand and navy stripe t shirt, crinkle cotton dress in poppy- two sizes as no idea on fit and what a bargain at 30 quid, suki trousers in blue and that is it. Poor home wear sale, but better for my wallet. I have picked up a few full price bits for going in go winter. Black cord gabi’s. Love them so much. The most useful trousers I have in a few colours. Pumpkin cashmere wrap, which ia absolutely gorgeous, the new baya shirt, which I have in multiple versions from cord to indigo and now this flowery affair. I think I am learning the ways of Toast in terms of what works and am trying to stick to the tried and tested shapes now. Most knitwear, Gabi’s, Alix’s, Baya and the occasional out there choice like the spun silk golden shirt and the netball bib. Think I am making less mistakes now and building a proper wardrobe that works hard.

I have had a response from Toast CS - they will post my order next week. It had clearly gone to the bottom of the pile - possibly due to the sock shortage. I am not impressed.

The very least they could have done would have been to send it 24 hour despatch due to the delay - but no!

If I didn’t genuinely want those sandals, (having stalked them for months), I would be tempted to return the whole lot. I have lost interest in the rest of my order due to sheer grumpiness 😾

That’s annoying @IlovePond . I think they’re slow to post at normal times but that is ridiculous.

Seems like their system has been quite glitchy too, and not keeping up with demand. @IlovePond Hope your order arrives soon. I received the FM sandals today and they are so good. Light and comfortable, and the multiple straps work well despite my narrow feet.

I’ve also had the FM grey trainers arrive - the light colour, although impractical for me, will fare better in my wardrobe than the pair I own now (I don’t own a light coloured shoe and think they often look so nice with darker coloured trousers).

Also the raffia hat - have been wanting the plain natural one for ages and really glad it’s finally come up in the sale.

The boxy hemp tee in slate will be with me on Monday.

@Primrosespaw I think I’ve also found my Toast formula, have found it really nice to know what I feel most comfortable in, though it’s taken me a very long time to get here (and definitely still learning).

Thanks for the new thread. I’ve enjoyed the chat about the sale but am on a spend ban at present - saving up for when I eventually find a decent pair of lace up leather boots that will suit my wonky feet!

I’m wearing the lovely thick cord skirt today for the first time - the elasticated waist makes it very comfy and also good for eating autumn comfort food.

I’ve got the macro gingham dress - the fabric is exceptionally thin. Too thin for trousers, I think.

My second sale order of two dresses was dispatched today, still waiting for the one before it, (placed on Thursday morning) to be sent. That was four items so maybe larger orders take longer, or get put to one side if something is unavailable?

I am enjoying the sales talk. I was late to the sale as working and didn’t see it until the evening. Then I was slow in mulling things over and of course things disappeared from the basket as they sold out. Still, it is no bad thing as I have at too many clothes, many of them Toast, although I have sold a few things on our Facebook page recently and have more to list.

Eventually I ordered the tailored cotton linen jacket, had to go with the 12 as while I was pondering, the 10 sold out. I think this jacket comes up big so interesting to see if it is too big. I was looking at an instagram post where someone had belted in an oversized jacket with a wide belt and it looked fab so perhaps I can make it work. I also ordered the cotton poplin shirt dress in French blue as the green one sold while I was dithering. And a boxy hemp tee in slate.

Those sales purchases are restrained for me, wondering if anyone has the floral embroidered cotton poplin shirt or the Selma cotton dress and can vouch for how either fit or look. I am surprised the Selma hasn’t sold out, is it too ‘Toast and harking back a bit to seasons gone by? I am also eyeing up the raised stripe cotton poplin shirt in paper while, could be a workhorse shirt? Some of the reviews say it is thin fabric but that quite appeals to me.

@CakeAndJazz I am still learning too, but enjoying the discovery at 47 of what suits. It is a relief to build a good wardrobe and declutter things i have kept hold of for nostalgia up until now and therefore find it stress free and a pleasure working out what to wear every day!

I have ordered the raised stripe poplin shirt @ToastCosILoveIt in the paper white. I then ordered it in the blue as after reading the reviews was concerned it wasn’t a true white although generally their paper white is. I will report back when I get it. Royal Mail seems to have got a move on and the order will be at my local delivery office by the morning despite saying Thursday.

I've had a sales order delivered by RM today. Was a no brainer to keep the Basalt Linen Lyocell dress - I wore the green one nearly every week over the summer.

I'm in two minds about the Check Cotton Linen Patch Pocket trousers. There is a weird pouch thing going on but I wear my tees long (short waisted) so it's liveable with. I like the looseness and the material. I've just ordered the shorts in the same material to try - and the Flower Mountain Indigo sandals as think will go well with trousers/shorts if I keep either.

That linen lyocell dress looks lovely @Stoic123. I am always slightly scared of lyocell, how have you found it wears & washes?
I have the check trousers and have worn them lots over summer. I don’t mind the slightly dropped crotch and I think the “pouch” effect diminishes after they have been worn and crease a bit.
