Unfortunately I've just had another look through the sale whilst wondering if there were any returns and ended up ordering this embroidered dress and the shirt in the same fabric. I don’t really think either will work for me as I usually find this style pulls on the bust. I also can’t imagine when they will be delivered as toast are so far behind.

@CashmereCat thank you for letting me know. I actually really like those earrings. If I had these I would wear them everyday. I’m going to consider buying them too.

I ordered from Toast for the first time ever on Christmas day and not had a dispatch email yet. Seems this is pretty normal from reading on here. Keen to try my jumpsuit though.

2 dresses, a top, a skirt, a sweater and a pair of Alix trousers going back.

Keeping 1 skirt (did they call it tweed check? Sooo nice), matching top, the dianthus shirt - though rather large - green poplin top, botanical print top in green.

Will try to order the Alix pixel check trousers in a size up. They feels way smaller than my other Alix'es, Hmm, there might be a boiled wool skirt entering my basket too.

The reason Toast are so slow this year is because I got a few orders in first. I've received everything now so that should free up a lot of staff 😄

I went to real shops recently, expensive high street brands and was really taken back by how much artificial fabrics are out there.

I do like shopping in person but it did feel quite overwhelming wading through the choice, crowds and quick decision making. There are some positives about slow decision making via online.

Gia shirts are good for my business vibe. Trousers a bit thin, a bit this, a bit that so probably not. I love that baggy, Bloomsbury tweed look but with my messy hair and lack of make up, smarter clothes often do the heavy lifting.

Now love the striped tank more in person than the vertical cable one. So clearly probably don't need either.

I'll get those returns back asap, get them back in the system.

This thread is so enabling. It’s making me dive back into the sale for another look. But I do enjoy looking at pretty things!

I always think this model is doing the heart fingers. Not very ‘Toast’.

Another brand I like is &daughter - admittedly I only have one dress from them but I wear all year round. Long, thick linen, beautiful shape and made in England!

I often have the same issue re: pulling across the bust (thanks to being a size 30F 😬) but thankfully, no pulling, which I'm really pleased about as the dress is lovely!

I’m currently wearing my new kantha pinafore that it ordered at the wales llandeilo shop yesterday. So that was super quick. I really like it. I’m going to keep it. I may have fitted the 8 but this will tolerate layers under and it’s really lovely. Thank you for your help in getting this lovely pinafore. Funnily enough I had never thought I’d buy a pinafore.

@Yorkshirelass04 The Taro is a difficult one , I ordered my usual size which fits just right except the length is almost to my knee at the back .(5ft 4 ins)
I’ve seen people look so good in this including the cool vlogger Brittany Bathgate who is way shorter than I , ergo ..it must be ok !
Typically I’m turning a blind eye and keeping it in the blue stripe because it looks good under dungarees and I may fork out to get it shortened .
I keep doing this with Toast sales, love the quality/ fabric/ aesthetic and keep things although they swamp me ,then later on I feel cross that I look a mess.

These are going back :
Taro shirt in beige stripe, ( keeping the blue)
Cotton windowpane v neck top ( keeping in size smaller)
Spotted green silk bandana ( keeping similar in blue)

Not sure:
Denim Patch Pocket Dungarees …huge but comfy , story of my Toast life.

That sounds hopeful then @CatAsstrophe - I usually find everything I order as an afterthought gets sent back but I had thought about trying that dress previously. I was surprised to see it still in stock as so much has sold out in my size.

My second order arrived this pm without warning. I have yet to summon the enthusiasm to open it!

For some reason last week I also ordered more Novestas to try - even though I know I am in between sizes. Goodness knows when they will turn up!

My sweater arrived @oddandelsewhere . The colour is as you said, although tbf I have a Mira jumper a similar shade. It still doesn’t suit me so back it goes. I put on the socks immediately though.

@Countmeout what a shame it didn't suit you either. I think it would suit someone very blonde, that is definitely not me!

And my red cashmere cardigan from Bruar, ordered on the 30th, is already winging its way here!

I do really recommend these cardigans, they are called Monrospun cropped cashmere cardigans although I wouldn't call them cropped, they are £59 in the sale! I may already have a few... They keep beautifully and come in lots of colours.

I tried on the grey check skirt - it looked ok and fitted well but I didn’t much like the feel of the material. It also made me look huge - but might have been better with a jumper over it.

The olive/black skirt also fitted and was a bit more flattering, but when I bent forwards the material at the front just gaped and bagged rather than sinking inwards, (iyswim!). It is also a bit too much like my olive crinkle skirt.

Even at sale prices, for the money they would have had to be perfect and they weren’t, so are going back 😾

As we are on page 39, I will set up a new thread. We can use this one up first if you like, but I will get the next one ready.
