All welcome

Veils drawn over last week...especially as it was half term.

The rules (anyone can join):

This is about feeling better about yourself...not necessarily a diet per se etc etc

  • Sunscreen at all times
  • No or little booze. Wine at the weekend is allowed if you want it
  • Walking is important, a small amount every day if possible. 30 mins if you can
  • Lots of water, aim for 2 litres a day
  • Apply body cream as often as possible
  • Use hand cream
  • Go to bed early, by 10.30pm if pos
  • Eat healthily
  • Be happy

The idea is that we all feel happier, healthier and glow with the good food, sleep, exercise, water and lack of sun damage.

Am on day 2 of IPD.

Feel terrible. Have decided to knock it on the head. Its not for me. I find the breakfasts disgusting - I literally retched at teh idea of bacon and eggs this am. The lunches and suppers are no problem. Maybe I will just cut out MOST carbs? I can't cope without a nice cup of tea in the morning - a cup of tea with a scrap of sugar and milk is part of ME!!! It feels so wrong giving it up.

Felt like I had flu this am - after one day of no caffeine or sugar!! If I could have a cup of tea in the morning and a bowl of porridge and an apple for breakfast I'd be fine!

Yesterday
bacon and eggs and a tomato
chicken, onion and mushrooms done on the bbq with rocket and spinach salad with nice garlikcy lemony dressing

WAS STARVING by 4 and had two slices of ham with sauerkrout and cheese under the grill - delicious!

steak with creamy mustard sauce and steamed spinach for supper

sat through battlestar galactica thinking of how much I wanted a nice hot mug of milk with a bit of honey in it

Today

gagged at bacon and eggs so had boiled egg
cup of redbush tea with soya milk (horrible)

felt so faint and achey and headachey in meeting at work taht I had three sips of black coffee and then felt guilty

just had smoked mackerel, spinach and rocket, two cherry tomatoes all with a lemon juice and olive oil dressing -very delicious

handful of cashews

I don't like the fact that I KNOW it is an unsustainable way of eating - it is an EXPENSIVE way of eating also, and I am worried that I am going to get obsessed with it, lose half a stone then put it all back on again as I KNOW I will have to have porridge or cereal for breakfast!!

I only have 8lbs to lose and I can do it by dropping alcohol and cakes I reckon.

Phew.
