The regulars on the thread mainly discuss luxury BAC and this dies down by September when everyone has purchased and forgotten the contents. Then it goes into discussion on what’s selling out, what hasn’t and what deals and discounts to be had on ACs in the lead up to December. Then in December we move onto AC opening threads!

I imagine that the beauty advent calendar craze must be a headache for the brands, as people stock up on discounted products in advents over Christmas, and then buy much less at full price throughout the year. I know that I didn’t buy anything beauty related at all for the first 6 months of the year.

Yes, plus ebay and vinted will be flooded with things for months at much less than RRP.

I guess they weight up wether that is worth the brand exposure.

Philip Kingsley have overdone it I reckon and devalued the brand esp elasticizer

This may be cheeky, but if your points will expire can you buy something with them and send it back unopened so the points go back on?

LF not for me either. I think they are trying to cope with rising costs without increasing the price of the calendar too much. Particularly LF, which tends to be aimed at more at younger people who can’t afford to spend £200+ on a calendar.

I think I’ve only bought LF once. It was around the £75 mark then and far more generous in terms of product sizes.

Aww fingers crossed for you that your perfume one arrives too! I already hate when stuff says free UK postage and you get to payment and up pops £12 postage because of highlands and NI 🫣

Tbf I would gladly pay £12 for the calendar or something big as long as it gets here. I was looking into post redirection companies and the fees were starting at £60 and upwards 😬

Just tracked my Harrods fragrance order and it is still showing as processing. 😐

I've just had DPD notification for Harrods frag calendar.

No update on my Harrods either @pinkchampagne1 - but it’s early days. I’m sure it will update soon 🤞

I’m disappointed with the LF Beauty but like the look of the fragrance AC.
So, currently considering LF Fragrance and Boots Premium looking encouraging.
Waiting on the 2 Nexts.

I’ve just bought the Liberty. Cost me £30 as I’d saved all my vouchers, I know it’s more niche and I’d prefer Space NK but I’m changing it up this year.

Objectively I do think Liberty is the best one especially with all those perfumes. It just for me a lot of the skincare doesn't appeal as much as SpaceNK skincare but it does have the AB Rich eye cream which is the best AB offering out of all the calendars this year.

These are my contenders so far and I feel like I don't have a lot of time to make a firm decision on the first two before they potentially sell out.

Alt scenario - I don't buy any and make do with my substantial stash, which isn't exactly a hardship.

TLDR - I don't know my own mind or what I want from an AC.

Alt scenario 2 - you buy Liberty and SNK. This is what I will probably do! 😂

I’d be surprised if any of them sell out before mid-late September - but you never know!

I’ve gone for liberty. If yepoda do one this year I’ll be getting that as well.

@OvaHere I’m the same. I’ve already purchased Harrods but wanting a second one, I like Liberty but not fully sold on spending that much or paying for the beauty drop (though it’s good value, I don’t want to stack up a load of credit and next years be rubbish).

I really like SNK offering, but also fancied the Fenwick one, and JL could sway me yet. I can’t have 4, I still haven’t used all my products from last year!

I need to announce that my Liberty has been shipped, exciting times ahead.

It's something to do with atomisers and flying. Lots of the UK companies who ship to Ireland won't ship fragrances.

No idea why it was perfectly safe to send to NI last year and way too dangerous this year.

I got a reply from notino about the advents. They said they can't say yet whether there will be a K-Beauty calendar again this year but that the calendars will be available October/November.

Where are people seeing the full contents for the LF ones? I can still only see the spoilers on LF and Beautyadventcalendar.net

@Roundaboot Beauty Detective had them earlier but they seem to have been removed.

I did wonder where the LF reveal had come from as it's never been on their site. It was fairly obviously legit due to the photos but maybe it was leaked somewhere as it was a strange time of the morning for them to appear out of nowhere.
