A very interesting trip to the liberty perfume lounge today. I did try the new LBTY frag, 1875 which is a tobacco and tuberose scent. Wasn't sure at first, then thought fk it as I had a £30 voucher so get an 8ml travel size. When they tried to put the voucher through the till something went wrong and they had to wait 15 minutes to tey again. Sales assistant was so embarrassed at making me wait, she took me for a free consultation around the perfume lounge and kept giving me samples. Ended up with 8 samples to take away including matiere premiere crystal saffron extrait! Probably worth more together than the 1875. So I had a fun time in there.

I now have a bag of samples of most of the LBTY frags, not the new tana meadow unfortunately which reminds me a little of mojave ghost, but maze, hera Reigns, rosinda, ianthe oud and 1875 which is not bad going at all for £15 + £30 voucher.

Just as well as that shop is mega expensive

Sounds like a great trip @IDontHateRainbows I've found Liberty perfume hall to be generous with samples. I got loads when I was there earlier in the year. I did spend a lot but even so, more generous than other places.

The new liberty frag, 1875, is growing on me. Quite a unique combination of tobacco and floral. Reminds me a little of brown flowers by ds durga but much much nicer. Vanilla in the dry down really softens it. Glad I bought it and with the £30 voucher and some sales from the samples I got, it was practically free!

Liberty aren't as pushy as Selfridges, where you practically get stalked on entry by the sales people. The fragrance lounge is a place of beauty. I think I have found my spiritual home!

Agree, it's my favourite out of all that I've visited. Has a very chill vibe. Harrods is incredible but so busy.

I'm itching for another trip. Tempted to go xmas shopping but really if I want avoid the worst of the crowds I'd be better waiting until spring again.

I work not far from Brown Thomas and Space NK in Dublin few days a week, I love being able to pop in store for few sniff

BDK Vanille Leather - it's dreamy! So good. I have travel, but wouldn't want to be left without it.

That was a scrubber for me unfortunately. Love most of bdk, but the ones I don't love i hate. It's a decent house in general. I have y eye on the extrait box set.

SNK Frag is pleasing but not for me. Not keen on Blanche, I’ve already got a few (and fine but not show stoppers on me). Never mind, roll on more kits and discovery sets!

That'll be a no from me. Only one I like is ds durga pistachio which I already have. Blanche is in my opinion the boringest of the byredos.

I'm also with tiny bit relieved as I've spent a fortune on fragrance recently and need to rein it in!!

The only thing in Space NK I really would be interested in is Angel’s Share. I think the two Juliette has a Gun ones are in LF anyway and I have had samples of Lazy Sunday Morning and Sandalwood Temple before and I’m not keen on either.

My Miami Shake was missing from LF and I would like to try that but I'm not buying a whole AC for it. I should probably go looking on Vinted.

It makes HN look a bit better but I'm not too fussed about that one either.

I don't know.... I think I will enjoy getting a nice 50ml bottle that I really enjoy instead during black Friday sales instead .But I feel they did better than last year.

It’s a yes from me. Only one I don’t want is the Glossier.

I’ve just had a look on the By Kilian website. They haven’t got the 7.5ml of the original version but they do have a 250ml carafe. £740!

Something in me can't get over Frederic Malle calling a perfume after a skin condition, sorry.

Acne Studios is a trendy clothes brand they've done a collab with. It just launched when I visited Liberty last spring. I can't remember how it smelt but I don't think I liked it particularly and ended up buying 10 ml of Portrait of a Lady.

The SNK doesn't interest me either, apart from the Killian, which I prefer over the one in HN fragrance. I'm planning to buy the HN one if I can 😊

HN is better but not enough I want in that either to justify it.

I like exactly half of it including the candle and car fragrance, so I plan to sell the rest. I think it would be better cost wise for me to buy it whole then sell half then buying the 9 products that I like from vinted. I like PDM delina, but as I'm pretty certain I'm getting the PDM calendar then I'm going to sell that 😊 I just need to hope it doesn't go on sale whilst I'm in the office next week 😳
