Am I the only person without a bracelet stack?!

I’m so crap at jewellery. Necklaces annoy me, I only wear wedding/engagement/eternity rings - they are tiny and probably some would scoff at the stone size, but anything big on me looks daft.

would really like to build a decent bracelet stack that doesn’t look like cheapo costume stuff…

any tips?

I do not. I have one bracelet I wear all time, and it is this one:

@steff13, I LOVE that bracelet and that whole range. You have lovely taste. From that exact range, I wear the white gold ring with the diamonds and, on the other hand, the gold version as a flatter/less sticky out alternative to my wedding set. Since my son was born (and particularly when he was a baby and I was afraid of scratching him) I've worn them far more than my actual wedding bands. I love them.

I bought it as a gift to myself when I had lost enough weight that it would actually fit around my wrist! That ring is beautiful too.

I love all of Paloma Picasso's designs. I have a cross necklace my husband bought me in 2003. I wear it every day. It outlasted the husband. 😉

ETA: we're separated. I realized after I posted that that it might sound like he is dead and with the winky face that I potentially killed him but that is not the case.

Ruthietuthie · 08/05/2025 00:09

@steff13, all the designs are lovely I agree.
And your message made me really laugh. (I did at first presume he had died and thought, WOAH, that's COLD!!!!)

I love a bracelet stack. I wear 2 bracelets but would like a 3rd. I wear them on my left wrist, but then I don’t wear my watch and I like my watch to count my steps

SummerLightning · 08/05/2025 10:07

Has anyone else started getting ads chasing them round the Internet worse than normal from clicking on links on this thread? I seemed to have pulled some "wants to buy really expensive jewellery" trigger!!

Coeur de Lion do some wonderful bracelets that look great when paired with a gold bangle.

I have that exact set! I do love it.

Yeah, I mean most people don't have £50-£70k plus to spend on bracelets but fair play to you 🙄

Yeah, but they are meaningful, don’t you know.

biwinoone · 08/05/2025 11:17

It is quite common in some parts of the world for women to wear Bracelet stacks even in their daily life. See women from Thar or Rajhistan area. I used to love to wear matching delicate glass bangles with my outfits when I was younger. I loved the jingling or jhankar in my language. Now that I am older I prefer a simple delicate gold or silver bracelet. I do not like gold plated or artificial bracelets. I also do not like stacking them. It takes away from the beauty and elegance on the single piece. Still will go back to glass bangles though if I can get my hands on them in the UK.

I can't wear earrings either, they make my ears go septic!

Try gold earrings. They are good for sensitive earlobes. You can get them from local gold shops and they are more reasonably priced than branded ones. I buy 22ct gold for alomost the same price as the 9 ct gold sold in designer shops.

Gwenhwyfar · 08/05/2025 12:18

I don't get the point of bracelets.

Yes I certainly have. I did get an FB ad for this company and like the look of the bracelets: https://kossdesign.com/en-gb

Wonder if anyone has got any, and what do you think?

@SauvignonBlancLady

dont your feet get cold in winter?

Nope. I wear flip flops unless it’s raining or snowing 🤣🤣

Same! I live in Ohio, though, and that's typical here. We're a hardy people. 😁

Ruthietuthie · 08/05/2025 13:00

@bridgetreilly, why so unkind? No-where did I say that only bracelets costing over X amount have meaning. And I also mentioned that one of my bracelets was made with thread and beads by my child. And I said that all of them were gifts. (And as a family, we aren't going hungry or homeless to buy bangles).
And the original poster, who wanted ideas, never posted a budget.
This is Style and Beauty. People can post what they like. There have been lots of beautiful options posted, things in all sorts of price-ranges.
People have been so strange and sour about this. I can't imagine living in such a bitter way, commenting negatively on things that really don't impact you at all.

Ruthietuthie · 08/05/2025 13:21

@steff13, those bracelets are really cute. I like them.
I wish I could generously gift several posters on this thread the bracelet shown...

Me too, absolutely hate the claustrophobic feeling of socks. It has to be SUPER cold for me to wear a pair of bamboo ones, can just about tolerate them.

We had a couple last month. One hit a about a mile from my house. Nothing too bad.

Allseeingallknowing · 08/05/2025 15:31

They get in the way, and irritate me. I never wear them now. Don’t know how Amanda Owen puts up with them jangling on her wrist, especially with the farm work!

This stack business is just another gimmick.
Ear ring stack bracelet stack.
Doubtless we will have nose stacks finger stacks and toe stacks.
Fools and their money are easily parted.

It’s foolish to buy lots of pretty things you like and which make you happy now? Can’t see it myself, unless it’s at the expense of food…
