Am I the only person without a bracelet stack?!

I’m so crap at jewellery. Necklaces annoy me, I only wear wedding/engagement/eternity rings - they are tiny and probably some would scoff at the stone size, but anything big on me looks daft.

would really like to build a decent bracelet stack that doesn’t look like cheapo costume stuff…

any tips?

I’m not bothered about those expensive van cleef jobs and reckon most of what you see on people is fake turkey tat

but I do quite like the look of Tilly Sveass stuff? Don’t know if it would annoy me though 😂

this could be a gateway one…😝

That is really pretty and delicate. It would be quite a different feeling to the bangle type stacks.

@loropianalover, thank you! (From one Loro Piana lover to another). I enjoy looking at all sorts of things in Style and Beauty, both things in my budget and things not.
@HumanRightsAreHumanRights, what lovely things. I have seen the pearl Tiffany bracelet in person and it is absolutely beautiful. How lovely that it also carries memories of your Dad. I have never seen anything like the poem bangle and it is gorgeous. I love how the poem is there but not immediately obvious.

Ruthietuthie · 06/05/2025 21:11

@user13457798, your collection is quite lovely. I hadn't heard of Kimai but, looking through, they have such lovely things. I really like their galactic bracelet.

Ruthietuthie · 06/05/2025 21:17

@Words, that's a bit unkind.
This is Style and Beauty, so surely people are free to spend their own money on what gives them joy (or receive them as gifts, as I did). Plus, it isn't about the expense. One of the bracelets I am wearing was made with thread and tiny glass beads by my child.
I don't think I'd say "fools and their money are soon parted" to anyone, especially if I didn't know the rest of their financial situation.

Matildahoney · 06/05/2025 21:34

@HumanRightsAreHumanRights DH bought me the poem bangle a couple of Christmases ago, I love it and wear it daily.

Woo hoo,I'm actually on trend for once! I've worn a stack of brackets for at lease the last 15 years. I don't feel dressed if I'm not wearing at least 2 silver bracelets. I love the clink clink sound they make.

Ineedanewsofa · 06/05/2025 21:56

Does two count as a stack? Daily I wear a click clack my DH gave me on our wedding day and one of my mum’s that I coveted as a child which she gave me a few years ago.
I do own a couple of other bracelets but I hardly ever wear them!

Hollieandtheivie · 06/05/2025 22:05

Do two nomination bracelets count as a stack? 🤔

Do two nomination bracelets count as a stack? 🤔

Absolutely, if you want it to! X

What's a bracelet stack? Does it just mean more than one bracelet?

Basically, yes. None of this layering, curating and stacking is a new thing. Just ask Madonna.

I'm part of the gang, then!

Ireallycantthinkofagoodone · 06/05/2025 22:32

I have some beautiful silver pieces from www.johngarlandtaylor.com

Ruthietuthie · 06/05/2025 22:35

@blindblinds, yes. Why are you confused?
Work became so stressful that it brought me to the edge of mental breakdown (with a highly personal, entirely unjust attack against my ethics and character). I didn't want to leave as this is a career that I've spent my whole life building and an institution that I was deeply committed to, even though I could have just walked away.
So yes, in meetings where I had to keep calm, dignified, and professional when I could have cried, I would put touch my bracelet and remind myself that, in the big picture, these matters of internal politics were small, far less important than the life I have built with my husband and child.
I don't think that is difficult to understand.

Mrscharlieeeee · 06/05/2025 22:47

I’ve curated my stacks over the years with bangles I’ve bought on holiday, some nice pieces from Thomas Sabo and Tilly Sveaas and vintage gold I inherited from my grandma. It’s a mix of cheap and expensive, most expensive being my tennis bracelet, cheapest was a silver cuff I’ve had 10 years that cost Me €5 and still looks new. I wear them daily but sometimes a jewellery free day is nice if I’m just staying in. I’m usually decorated like a Christmas tree otherwise. Never knowingly underaccessorised so my mum says!

galloe · 06/05/2025 22:50

I don't wear anything on my wrists as I always wear long sleeves and don't want to draw attention to my self-harm scars. But I think the noise and presence would also annoy me as well.

Bluebellwood129 · 07/05/2025 06:28

Starlight1984 · 06/05/2025 16:43

Yeah, I mean most people don't have £50-£70k plus to spend on bracelets but fair play to you 🙄

But some people do so why shouldn't the poster share them?

Tulipsontoast · 07/05/2025 06:38

If bracelet stacks means wearing more than one bracelet then I guess I do. Although they are very hippy dippy and not shiny and expensive because I lose things.

Changedusernameforthis2 · 07/05/2025 06:54

Ignore the nasty twats on here OP. They've even infiltrated style and beauty now.
Since I was a teen I've loved a bracelet stack. I've got some beaded ones that kids have made me (taylor swift type ones) an enamel one and a couple of gold. I love them and like a PP , they mean something to me and are a link to friends and family. When I was younger, I wear all my jewellery all the time, even sleeping and swimming etc one thing I love doing is finding a lovely new bangle either she'll or enamel at a charity shop. I wear it until it breaks and then go hunting for a new one

desdheaddafs · 07/05/2025 07:08

I’ve got some from here
https://www.bellajanejewellery.co.uk/collections/bracelets
Super comfortable and don’t get in my way when using a keyboard. Easy to put on and take off as I don’t like wearing anything on my wrists when at home.
You can also by ready made stakes but I have an assortment of single ones that I have been given as gifts

This stack business is just another gimmick.
Ear ring stack bracelet stack.
Doubtless we will have nose stacks finger stacks and toe stacks.
Fools and their money are easily parted.

What's money for if not to spend and make you happy! What a sad and bitter person you sound.

I think it's beginning to look a bit dated OP but if you like the look then it's easy to do as there are lots if slim bangle /bracelet options available.

DinoLil · 07/05/2025 07:43

I've worn stacked bracelets since I was about 11 (53 now!) although they're not 10p bangles anymore! I wear about ten Lola Rose bracelets, the semi precious stones on a string that you pull to make it tight iyswim. I only wear them if I'm going out for lunch or dinner, though. My dog would snap them all in seconds if I wore them all the time!
