Am I the only person without a bracelet stack?!

I’m so crap at jewellery. Necklaces annoy me, I only wear wedding/engagement/eternity rings - they are tiny and probably some would scoff at the stone size, but anything big on me looks daft.

would really like to build a decent bracelet stack that doesn’t look like cheapo costume stuff…

any tips?

No bracelets for me either. Clacking around on everything. Watch with a silicon strap only.

abracadabra1980 · 06/05/2025 16:02

Not really what you asked but it brought visions of Amanda Owen (our Yorkshire farm) to me, doing the farming with about 100 bangles on each arm. So odd, and just why?!

Ruthietuthie · 06/05/2025 16:31

@WhyamIinahandcartandwherearewegoing, you don't have to spend a lot. I would just get something that is meaningful but is also made of either real gold or silver. If it is something that is gold-plated, the plating rubs off and it tarnishes, and stuff that isn't real gold is just the wrong color. (I should also add that I didn't buy any of my bracelets myself - they were all gifts from my husband).
I do like looking down and remembering the story of each one. If I am in a stressful situation at work, I touch the heart on the bracelet that my son gave me (well, my husband, but for my son to give as a gift) and know that my family loves me and all this work stress doesn't really matter in the big picture of things.

GroovyChick87 · 06/05/2025 16:36

I wear my engagement and wedding rings, sometimes hoop earrings and that's it. I cant wear bracelets, I don't like anything flapping round my wrist and I'm not into necklaces.

I have bracelets that I wear everyday. Each one is filled with meaning or was a gift, so I didn't set out to get a stack. I really love them as, when I look down, they remind me of the times I received them.
For example, I have this Tiffany bean bracelet from my husband, and this bracelet www.tiffany.com/jewelry/bracelets/paloma-picasso-loving-heart-bracelet-GRP08532/ that was a Mother's Day gift from my son.
I also have an evil eye bracelet that my husband bought overseas. And, at the moment, a red thread bracelet with beads that say "I love you" in Morse code, which my son made for me.
I wear all that on one wrist, every single day, sometimes adding this tennis bracelet. or this blue Van Cleef bracelet. These are my everyday bracelets, all bracelets, none are bangles, so I find them comfortable and they don't jangle. The only one I take off to shower is the Van Cleef as I worry that the stone is delicate.
For a necklace, I wear this diamonds by the yard necklace. Again, no need to take it off for showering, and it is so light I forget I am wearing it. Again, it was a gift from my husband, so reminds me of his love for me. It goes with any outfit, I think.
For evenings, I have the Tiffany Bone Cuffs in silver.

I would start small but with something that has deep meaning to you.

Yeah, I mean most people don't have £50-£70k plus to spend on bracelets but fair play to you 🙄

This is style and beauty! @Ruthietuthie can share what she wants! Some beautiful pieces there. I had a Tiffany necklace but sold it as it wasn’t my style at the time, I regret it now.

Love the twisted gold bangle! That ‘knot’ bangle style seems to be in now as well.

Tarkan · 06/05/2025 16:48

I really can’t cope with much on my wrists either. I have my Apple Watch but I don’t always wear that and then this is the only bracelet I wear. It’s just a fairly plain sterling silver one from Mappin & Webb. I have a necklace from the same range but the beads in the necklace have one bigger bead at the front and then get smaller. I couldn’t have coped with the bracelet having the different bead sizes so this is perfect for me.

Is a bracelet stack another way of saying several different bracelets? I’m so out of touch!

I like the look and some of the suggestions on here.

psuedocream3 · 06/05/2025 17:08

I have a Tilly Sveaas t-bar necklace which is lovely, but much daintier than the website let on. I would say it's good quality though.

If you look at the jewellery on the Liberty of London website, you'll get a good feel for similar brands. I also like Dinny Hall and OTIUMBERG.

I use some of my necklaces as bracelets too.

Strawberrycupcakes · 06/05/2025 17:08

They always look so nice on other people but I find them so impractical and unhygienic.

Monica Vinader is great for reasonably affordable bracelets. Also Astley Clarke.

Gold Fine Biography Multi gemstone Bracelet | Astley Clarke

I have this exact one, I’m wearing it now! I like and buy chunkier bracelets but like others have said they are too much for my dominant hand a clatter about. I now have this and I also have a “gold filled” welded fine chain that makes up “the stack”. I don’t notice them even when working at my desk and do fall asleep with them all on often.

RosesAndHellebores · 06/05/2025 17:14

I had to look up bracelet stack. I think it would drive me bonkers.

I just wear my nice old watch.

HumanRightsAreHumanRights · 06/05/2025 17:39

I wear a tennis bracelet, a cuff and a chain sort of bracelet.
I never intentionally created a stack, but over time these are the ones I just always wear.

Tennis bracelet is just regular diamonds, had it for years and is just princess cut (look square) diamonds set in silver.

The cuff is one I purchased myself as I fell in love with it when I saw it

The chain one is the last thing my dad bought for me before he passed away, so I feel loved when I wear it.

Look at Bella jane jewellery OP. I’ve had my stack of 3 for a good 8 years and still going strong.
(actually I forgot- I caught one while lugging a suitcase and snapped it, I sent it back and they re strung it for me for a small fee.

Blueuggboots · 06/05/2025 18:15

Nope. I don’t have one. Don’t want one either!! 🤣

user13457798 · 06/05/2025 18:19

I wear these three plus a plain, very narrow gold bangle every day along with an Apple Watch. Not sure if that counts as a stack, however. Oddly, I don't really feel dressed until I put them on.

I also have an art deco platinum tennis bracelet (inherited) that I wear maybe once a year.

Adding that I was at an event the other day and someone was wearing the exact same turquoise enamel bracelet as the second one I posted, as part of a stack that was much more impressive than mine! We did admire each other's good taste.

I don’t own any bracelets or necklaces. I find them annoying.

mumda · 06/05/2025 18:20

I've tried all the metal bangles in the world. I love them but they drive me mad jangling.

I bought a tigers eye stone bracelet from a charity shop about 3 months ago and haven't taken it off yet.

RampantIvy · 06/05/2025 19:15

No. I have such skinny wrists that I lose them.
I wear a watch and a wedding ring, but that is all the hand/wrist adornment I wear.

PluckyBamboo · 06/05/2025 19:23

Not for me. I have tiny bambi hands/wrists so all bangles rattle around up to my elbow and do my head in.

I wear a wedding ring mainly to keep weird men away and DH does seem to be sentimental about it.

(Goes look for wedding ring as I can't remember where I left it after making pizza dough yesterday 🧐).

Cyclingmummy1 · 06/05/2025 20:00

What's a bracelet stack? Does it just mean more than one bracelet?
