Am I the only person without a bracelet stack?!

I’m so crap at jewellery. Necklaces annoy me, I only wear wedding/engagement/eternity rings - they are tiny and probably some would scoff at the stone size, but anything big on me looks daft.

would really like to build a decent bracelet stack that doesn’t look like cheapo costume stuff…

any tips?

You are all quite right. It was a nasty comment. I apologise.

Monica Vinader is great for reasonably affordable bracelets. Also Astley Clarke.

Gold Fine Biography Multi gemstone Bracelet | Astley Clarke

Support the vote for Astley Clark. They’re mid range bur good quality and last for years. They have regular sales too if you’re on their mailing list.

Also a fan of Lines and Current.

I cannot do bracelets or watches, hate the feel of anything around my wrists. Happy to do necklaces, small earrings and rings, but only on the ring fingers.
I have a beautiful blue and white sapphire gold bracelet, that I never wear, ditto 3 watches, one of which was the rose gold watch given to a grandmother for her 21st birthday - I last wore it on my wedding day, just over 25 years ago!

@user13457798, your collection is quite lovely. I hadn't heard of Kimai but, looking through, they have such lovely things. I really like their galactic bracelet.

Thank you! On the galactic bracelet - I'm already planning to point DH in that direction when he asks for a hint for my upcoming birthday 😁

He's terrible at choosing gifts and I'm picky. I stopped wearing things I don't like once my DC outgrew the making me gifts age. So we now have a happy medium where I show him a few things I like and he chooses.

You understand that someone has just shared that they had a difficult time and needed to have a marker of family support at work? And this is how you respond to them. Not even basic kindness? FfS get a grip

happytobemrsg · 07/05/2025 09:50

I wear 4 18k rose gold bracelets 24/7 but recently decided to just go with 1. Sometimes if you wear too many you don’t appreciate them individually

evilharpy · 07/05/2025 09:53

Some of these are lovely. I hadn't heard of Astley Clarke but there are a few pieces on there I'm adding to my wishlist. I love the one with the tiny multi coloured beads.

I have a couple of gold bracelets from Monica Vinader - one very fine with a geometric shape with little diamond chips (possibly Riva?), one with baroque pearls. And a gold claddagh bracelet I've got as a present when I was 12 and never liked until I was much older but now wear it all the time. I tend to wear the very fine one with one additional one.

Does anyone have anything from Boho Moon? I keep seeing it on Instagram and like the style but it seems too cheap to be any good.

If you want something more dainty & a bit more current @WhyamIinahandcartandwherearewegoing these are a good option.

Those are lovely, but doesn't the colour wear off?

BlueEyedBogWitch · 07/05/2025 10:33

I used to wear my bracelets every day until the pandemic, then I took it off because of all the handwashing.

Funnily enough, I took them out the other day and tried them on again. This thread has inspired me to shine them up and bust them out again! It’s a nice summer look.

Mine are ChloBo and Bella Jane.

Me too but as always on here at the moment, even on a previously lovely board like S&B it gets infiltrated

@WhyamIinahandcartandwherearewegoing, you don't have to spend a lot. I would just get something that is meaningful but is also made of either real gold or silver. If it is something that is gold-plated, the plating rubs off and it tarnishes, and stuff that isn't real gold is just the wrong color. (I should also add that I didn't buy any of my bracelets myself - they were all gifts from my husband).
I do like looking down and remembering the story of each one. If I am in a stressful situation at work, I touch the heart on the bracelet that my son gave me (well, my husband, but for my son to give as a gift) and know that my family loves me and all this work stress doesn't really matter in the big picture of things.

I love that, I need some bracelets to remind me not to get so bogged down in work rubbish.

PotatoBreadForTheWin · 07/05/2025 10:50

I’d love a bracelet stack but my wrists are too big. I need upwards of 20cm length ideally. I can just about close a 20cm bracelet but they are rare enough. Does anyone know where to find longer ones?

TipsyRaven247 · 07/05/2025 11:26

Yes, you are the only one. Every other human being wears one.

katseyes7 · 07/05/2025 11:55

I have a couple of slim gold bangles, but my 'stack' of choice (not everyday, it'd be too over the top) would be my three tennis bracelets.
All on my left wrist, l wear my watch on the right.

RockGirl · 07/05/2025 12:07

I love bracelets but have really small wrists, so tend to have to opt for adjustable ones. I would love the bangle look. Any tips on bangles for small wrists, but not necessarily tiny hands? :)

I have really small wrists. Cuff style work best for me. Or bracelets that open up and then slide closed, but some can still be too big once on.

InternetRandoms · 07/05/2025 12:32

I love Annie Haak. I first bought a couple over a decade ago, I think one of the Minogues was in a Sunday supplement wearing them and I loved them. That was before they exploded everywhere though, I still love them but wear them a little less these days.

LeopardsANeutral · 07/05/2025 12:53

I have a few on each wrist, only sterling silver. I love the look of gold but it doesn't suit me as much as silver. I have a nomination one, a pandora one (i know these aren't really in style now, but I've had it for years so the charms are sentimental). A silver ball one that my mum gave to me for my 21st and two with my kids names on. The other wrist has my apple watch and two permanent welded dainty bracelets I had done at Portobello Road market. I have absolutely loads of rings too, I don't usually take any of my jewellery off. I fancy some of the Chlobo and Annie Haak bracelets to add to mine now.

LeopardsANeutral · 07/05/2025 12:55

Has anyone heard of an influencer called Sammi Jefcoate, now she has the bracelet and ring stacks I could only dream of!

Wow!

Although one of her bracelets is one I told my DH I liked and he got it for me as a gift and I ended up returning it. For some reason, I looked at it and all I could see was that the ends looked like little circumcised penis heads 😅. And then couldn't unsee it.

Ruthietuthie · 07/05/2025 13:13

@InternetRandoms, thank you for the introduction to Annie Hack - she has some really pretty things.
@LeopardsANeutral, your bracelets sounds lovely. And yes, I have seen her posts (and love her style, even though I couldn't carry it off, she does brilliantly). She does have very pricey taste!
@user13457798, the bracelet is lovely (I love anything gold with turquoise) but I know exactly what you mean! Once you see it, you can't unsee it!!!

Quite curious as to what @blindblinds posted that was now all deleted... ;)

And thank you to everyone who posted nice messages in my defense. I don't think it's wrong to have things one likes that one can afford (while understanding, of course, that everyone has different tastes, priorities, and budgets). And I definitely don't think I am the only one whose jewelry carries meaning that adds to its charm... sometimes, it seems that people post just to be mean. I can't imagine anyone would say such things in person.
