Florist Ellis Brooklyn for me today - smells like flower shop. I love 10 mls!

Well my no buy ends here. I end up getting sephora prada infusions set - I though for 45 gbp (one of my brands) 4 7.5mls is good and I have been sniffing the iris forever - it will be great way to try them. And of course, I don't want to be paying delivery fee so I had to add something else! Burberry Goddess the original.

Naxus is not for me, it's too intense although I would have loved the 15ml no way I am buying a bottle but I want to explore few other vanilla lavender options. Mon Gurlain will probably be fall purchase.

Jo Malone have new beach blossom I would like to smell too. So many new perfumes out! My new job/office is not near shops which is great - hopefully less impulse purchases.

I also ordered beauty from dior and they added 2 minis and 2 samples so a lot coming my way to explore.

Maybe I am ready from no/low buy to move to no full sizes :)

Todays sotd is rare beauty find comfort, purely cos my kid came into my room this morning and proceeded to get his little hands on my cosmetics and sprayed this one everywhere lol but it was a good choice actually and I'm liking it

Tobacco Vanille by Tom Ford today. I may have oversprayed as 2 people at work separately said ooh what's that lovely smell. It's quite potent, lovely dry down. Mixed in a bit of mumbai noise to give it a spicy kick and it works well together.

over 1200 new perfumes came to market so far this year according to perfumo! Those are the few I would like to sniff if I get chance, with the first few being most interested in and the bottom unlikely I will buy

SOTD spray of daughter’s Bal D’afrique. I find it quickly converts on me to end notes of Massimo Dutti’s Soufflé Marais. Delighted by this as love it, but the Dutti is far cheaper and back in stock.

Not sure whether appalled or delighted that daughter now crashing perfume snob. Should have realised the direction of travel when she spent all her holiday money (gifted by generous two sets of grandparents) at age 8 on Givenchy’s ( sadly discontinued) L’eau de mademoiselle de givenchy at perfume store in ‘France’ at Epcot, rather than the traditional Mickey Mouse ears!!

@EvelynBeatrice I feel your pain, mine has graduated from Sol de Janeiro and is eyeing up Frederic Malle for ACNE Studios! If there are any dupes around I'd be interested to know.

@MiaN I've had a sniff of the Hermes Rhubarb and it smells great. I haven't tried it on my skin yet but I find their perfumes pretty long lasting. I'm pondering Perfumer H's Rhubarb as a full bottle for Spring.

I’ve relatively recently discovered that Hermes. No dupes I’m aware of I’m afraid.

I have long loved Hermes 24 Faubourg which is so different on different people. I always get compliments when I wear it, even although I can no longer smell it myself for long after application

I'm definitely interested in the Prada Rhubarb, will seek that one out asap!

24 Faubourg was one of my perfume gateway drugs. It made me feel like a Parisian grande dame in a fur coat, even when I was sitting on the top deck of the bus on a rainy Tuesday afternoon in south London.

I'm wearing Frederic Malle Musc Ravageur this evening. Not tried much from this house before and I'm not massively into florals/ rose so have swerved portrait of a lady and lipstick rose. This is lovely though, has some depth to it. Powdery, musky base.

Hi would anyone like an 8ml of Rouge Smoking? I had it on my list on Scentbox - finally tested it in store and hated it but didn’t change on scentbox in time. Tried to sell it on vinted and ebay but both listings were taken down, so would rather give it away to someone who would love it.

I have a gorgeous smelling perfume my Chinese neighbours gave me. I’m going use that this weekend. I’ll post the name a bit later.

I feel sometimes it's important to keep your samples and try them in different season. I tried Cassili PDM and didn't like it at all. I tried little bit on my wrist this morning - it's lovely! I don't know if it's 275 euro lovely - perhaps not but I will enjoy the sample.

SOTD Sprayed the last dregs of discontinued Enchantment by Next last night pre bed and am appreciating its lovely plummy woodsy dreaminess this morning. Sad it has gone. Too unusual to be popular I guess.

A blessed working from home day today so I'm going to be doing some testing. I think I need to dial it back at work - I was in a meeting yesterday and had a couple of comments, made me feel self concious even if the comments were complimentary. I suppose if they weren't people would keep it to themselves? But I am going to have an 'office friendly' list of the milder ones and not deviate from that.

Today however I can wear what I please! I have my set of tiny samples out - going to go for soleil blanc tom ford. This reminds me of arizona bloom by floral street. We are still months away from the kind of weather I'd wear this in... but one can dream.

My problem with many PDM perfumes is they go heavy on molecule type of scents in some of them, probably in aim to make lighter perfumes lasting.. Both Valaya and now Cassili move from lovely to lasting scent that is suppose to smell like flowers but to me just smells artificial - it could be the ingredient petalia.

I can relate to dream wearing, perfume is like a small spell - how do you want to feel, where do you want to be today? It can take you places

I'll let someone else have it as I already have some but just wanted to say it's a lovely perfume for the lucky recipient. Interested that your listings were taken down - I've sold it quite recently on ebay although BDK can be slow to go. If it's in the scentbox vial rather than manufacturer's bottle that could be why?

Sniff report

Beach Blossom Jo Malone similar to many others, monoi oil, sunscreen type of beach perfumes such as Bronze Goddess Estee Lauder, Alien Goddess Thierry Mugler, Killian Sunkiss Goddess. I don't hate it but not for me

L'Interdit Angélique Rouge Givenchy - not unique, too many flankers. This is similar to all their other summer editions but very much same dna. They killed the l'interdit imo, too much of the same even if you like it is off putting

Vanilla Smoke - body spray Phlur I tested in store but unfortunately the paper strip has absorbed the scent from Linterdit and can't give it another sniff back at home. I thought it's very simple smokey vanilla, nothing similar to the likes of babylon but in the same time I did not dislike it. I would give it another sniff on day I am not trying as many things

Sunlit Clementine & Vetiver Molton Brown - I bought 7.5ml of the perfume in the store and I was given sample of the EDT. I will get to try both.

I can not smell Diptyque Orpheon. I am getting so little out of it - the EDP and EDT, I am certain there is more to it then I can smell

I have a new nickname, but still love the same perfumes 😀
Sotd 4160tuesdays (S)layer which is from this year's JJB.

So I tried the new Jo Malone Beach Blossom and the new le labo Eucalyptus today. Both feel like they're much more suited for hot weather than now, but that said: JM was a disappointment, felt like a flat version of the coconut/floral/salt perfumes already out there, which TF Soleil Blanc already does so much better. This just felt like a M&S or Next dupe of something much nicer. That said, it may transform in hot weather into something you'd spritz on after the pool, so who knows.

Eucalpytus on the other hand, I loved - definitely more masculine-leaning, cedar-y woods with a breeze of fresh eucalyptus leaves overhead. If you've ever walked in a eucalyptus grove in Australia in the height of summer - this is what the air smells like. Again, I reckon this will glow when the hot weather finally comes.

SOTD is 4160T Dark Queen, animalic and red berries.
