Page 8 | Snag tights - WTF???

Hi everyone I posted on this board asking about an outfit and someone suggested I should buy some coloured tights from Snag. I've just been onto their website and it's like a shop for fetishists. Some seriously weird stuff. I'm not uptight or a prude, but I honestly thought this was a shop selling tights. I've seen a few ads pop up on FB showing different coloured tights. But there were loads of photos of other stuff which was outside the norm. I appreciate that there's probably a continuum in underwear with opaque 80 Denier tights at one end and fetish stuff at the other, but wouldn't it make more sense to have these as two separate businesses? Or am I just being precious?

Aside from their marketing, which is horrendous, I'm the only person in the world who didn't like their tights at all. They just fell down all the time. I had to get a refund. They were a bit snippy about it as well. Considering that was their main selling point (back before they went weird) I felt justified in the refund because they were unwearable. I think I still have one or two not unwrapped!

Miserable, but I'm glad I wasn't alone! They acted like I must be a weird shape or something (I probably am, but isn't the point that we're all different shapes?) and kept asking me to remeasure.

I couldn't walk more than fifty yards in them.

I have no problem with the website (Im very much live and let live!) but not a fan of the colours.
Anybody know what Popsy tights are like?
I much prefer their more muted tones, although some of the Snags patterned ones are nice.

I found Popsy too long, and mine got caught on something the first time I wore them and ripped! My mum likes them as much as snag.

They don’t sell them any more, as far as I know, and they never sold them on the same website as the tights. You couldn’t stumble across them and it was made clear that they were adult content. They certainly weren’t my thing and I think they were unwise to sell that particular badge, although I think the issue is a lot more complicated and nuanced than a lot of people understand. I completely see why people objected to them. I do think policing other women’s sexual fantasies, however, is a bad thing, and some of the criticism certainly did descend into that.

But that isn’t what the OP or anyone here is looking at and being offended by on the site today. I’m not defending that badge. I’m simply arguing that selling sexy underwear doesn’t suddenly become harmful or pornography or dangerous just because it’s got straps and buckles and isn’t pretty white lace.

Not sure if I'm missing something but I've bought tights from them multiple times and never seen anything shocking on the website? I've found them to be decent quality and good range of colours.

There is an issue about how to promote fetish gear and imo Snag are flying close to the wind. I am getting pics of a woman in a harness pop up uninvited on my Facebook feed. I can't think of any other ads like this I get. Snag is an outlier and of course some people will be offended.

I'm now also getting those pictures along with ones of women with their arses sticking out towards the camera.

I'm 60 and far more likely to buy a harness, I rather like belt with shoulder straps, than tights.

I actually love that dress. I can imagine wearing to my community group and people telling me how nice it is without looking closely
