I love their clothes & thought i might start a chat for other fans of this brand.

I'm tempted by a couple of dresses but hoping there might be further reductions as currently at 30%

I have 4 dresses bought last year & I've worn & loved them a lot.

Please tell me what gorgeous things you've bought

I have bought 3 dresses in the sale, not tried them yet (not arrived yet) They are perfect for work conferences and they were all under £150 which I think is good value.
i used to love LK bennett but their sizing and quality are off recently. I am sort of surprised they are still going.

Newmeagain · 10/01/2025 14:37

I really like a lot of their things but they seem to be designed only for very tall women. I think they would do extremely well if they did petite sizing.

MeandEmLover · 10/01/2025 15:08

@Newmeagain I'm tall 5ft 9" & i love that these clothes are cut for taller women!

I also love Sezane but they're definitely cut for smaller women.

I love your dresses @SchoolDilemma17 they're gorgeous! Perfect for work & conferences. What shoes do you wear with these dresses?

I bought a similar shaped black dress with a zip front last year but I really only wore it with heeled ankle boots so wasn't as practical for daytime as I'd hoped.

I like the boots on the model but they're gone now it seems

I don’t think that’s the case. I’m 5ft 4 and have lots of their clothes. Though most of their trousers are too long for me.

Love ME And EM, excellent quality, and beautiful tailoring.
I’m in Ireland and so the exchange rate hurts and prices has creeped up over last few years, so I have to keep purchases to sale prices but they always have a large selection of items on sale throughout the year.

picked up these for WFH, really comfy, I reluctantly changed them today so they could go in the wash.

These in sale in December and got a few wears over Christmas.

and this, have yet to wear it but will be packed for a few days away next week

I am going to a conference in the snow next week (Switzerland) so snow boots then 😅 It’s acceptable there as everyone else is wearing heavy boots/snow boots (lots of walking between venues and meetings). I also have dark brown boots that will go well.

Those jogger trousers look great. Can i ask your height? I'm only 5'3 and wondering if they will drown me.

5’7 and they are perfect length on me, so yes suspect they would be a tad long.
The inside leg length is 71cm.

Oh thats a shame, I'm also 5ft 4 and they have some really lovely looking trousers. Might try something from Vinted first.

atotalshambles · 10/01/2025 19:20

Verite1 - they do cropped trousers and short length trousers !

Wish I hadn't looked as now I have fallen in love with this but it's sadly way out of my price range https://www.meandem.com/deconstructed-cardigan-blazer-multi-brown

That's lovely but the lapels aren't sitting right. I have a relative who's a Savile Row tailor and I've learned to be fussy about tailoring.

CheerfulBunny · 10/01/2025 22:41

@HappyKatieA Oh that's beautiful 😍 What a colour! I love pointelle too.

Mespher · 11/01/2025 04:45

I like those brown trousers upthread but unfortunately they are too short for me, I need at least a 32 inch leg, I'm 5'10 and size 12.

I'm tall. I agree that the clothes look that way, but actually they provide detailed garment measurements (brilliant!) and sadly for me all the "high rise" trousers have rises that don't quite reach my waist so I decided not to buy anything. Trousers below my waist just don't work on my shape annoyingly.

MeandEmLover · 11/01/2025 12:06

@Mespher i'm tall too & wear 34" leg trousers. I have several pairs of me+em trousers. They often come with variable ways to wear.

The Italian cords i bought last year can be worn full length but they have a really deep double sided hem which allows them to have a turn up & be 7/8ths length which i love with boots or laced men's style shoes.

I have found the leg lengths to be good I general & i have 4 pairs of their trousers (though one pair are cropped by design)

@OuterSpaceCadet as a fellow tall person could you share where you find trousers please ? I'm always on the lookout for good places to try. For full length I need 34" leg
Thanks

I would like to ask you the same! I don't think I can be much help.

Although I prefer the option of longer length legs my biggest problem is whereabouts on my body my waist is (really really high up and I'm hourglass so lower rises just don't work). A lot of the time I wear Oliver Bonas because they do a proper high waist but I have to accept them being a very cropped length and wear with socks and boots.

My only good finds have been for jeans but are very high street. The tall denim ranges at New Look, M and S and Sainsbury's have both longer legs (especially New Look, they're easily 34") and deeper rises.

MeandEmLover · 11/01/2025 12:41

@OuterSpaceCadet aha! We have different body shapes so! I'm def not hourglass. I tend towards apple but work very hard to keep it at bay! It's a constant battle though.

Funnily enough I have a couple of pairs of trousers from Sezane which were so long on me I'll have to get them actually taken up which will be a first for me!!

but while the legs were fabulously long they wouldn't button on the waist (my problem area). I have black trousers & wide legged jeans both similar styles.

I've kept them as I've lost 2 stones last year & I'm continuing to lose & another 7lbs & I'll be able to wear them

So...Sezane might be worth looking at for you?

Back in the day I had lots of nice long denim from Gap but we no longer have a store in our city so I don't bother with them anymore.

I'm considering a trip to a neighbouring city to visit the huge Levis store the there once I get to goal weight + a visit to big department store to try on millions oh brands of jeans- my very least favourite thing in the world to do...but it might yield results 🤞

@SchoolDilemma17 the red crepe dress is lovely, I’ve ordered. Prob way too long on me, I’m 5’3”.
