I love their clothes & thought i might start a chat for other fans of this brand.

I'm tempted by a couple of dresses but hoping there might be further reductions as currently at 30%

I have 4 dresses bought last year & I've worn & loved them a lot.

Where do any of you sell your Me & Em stuff? I have two pairs of trousers I bought full price last summer and find the rise just doesn't work for me.

I bought a a similar pair in last winter's sale and absolutely love them. Strange sizing though: 10 and huge. They were in the sale for months. I've found their trouser sizing quite tricky. Oh and I'm 5'3"

I sell all my stuff in Vinted and it sells well.
As for trousers I’m a 160cm and I have to order size 6 for trousers and most other things by on Me&Em when I wear a size 8 in all other shops.

@cloudberry I've been looking at those trousers but haven't bought them.

@MeandEmLover I'm not going to buy them as they look so similar to the ones I have, colour-wise. Will probably wait till the paler ones are reduced.

On Vinted you can see what other sellers are charging for their items and how long they’ve been for sale. It will give you an idea how much to charge. You also have to decide if you just want in your wardrobe taking up space. My experience selling on Vinted has been quite positive so far.

@MeandEmLover For me too, Me and Em has replaced Jigsaw and Whistles as the go to place. I think Whistles still does some ok knitwear and leather stuff but dresses / blouses have declined dramatically in quality since the early 00s. Jigsaw quality is generally still ok and last year I bought a couple of items. However, the construction/design details/ quality of materials is a notch up in Me and Em from Jigsaw (as are sadly the prices)

Other brands I like are Maison Hotel, Ba&sh, some Sezanne. I buy sparingly from Wyse and Cefinn, avoiding the more twee stuff. Really love the Fleurine tank from Wyse. Have it in black and navy and they have been great Winter staples worn over dresses for work. For basics / work stuff, La Redoute and M & S. I recently bought boots from Lanx, and love them. They have lots of beautiful styles and the quality and construction is top notch. I would also recommend Sass and Bide boutique in Winchester (I buy online, never been to store as too far away). The owners do weekly Instagram video try ons. They have some lovely things and interesting brands.

Yesterday I had a non-working day and visited a nearby city to go to a few galleries with a friend. Had a walk round Me and Em and a wee try on of a few things. No purchases as on a no buy but easily could have gone wild .

Wore my new black floral Me and Em shirt, and thoroughly enjoyed wearing it. I think I will get loads of wear out of it going forward.

Oh, and I do also rate Baukjen. They have a strap line on Instagram at the moment 'Still wearing that piece from us - we thought so' For me, that's pretty true. Their stuff lasts really well and is worn regularly.

@RingofBrodgar that's a beautiful outfit you posted. I love the blouse-I resisted buying it as I'm a pale blonde and I don't really suit black however I may reconsider!
Can I am where the black jeans are from? I need help in the jeans arena!

I was wanting to try out barrel leg jeans without paying a lot for them, so those ones are from Next, the 'authentic barrel leg jeans,' current stock. Apart from the reasonable price I was attracted to the fact they do sizes 13,15,17 etc and a range of leg lengths. I also like the fact that the barrel shape is very subtle.

I am 5ft 5 and went for 'regular ' They are a bit cropped - look good with ankle boots or with flat Mary Janes, but perhaps the longer length would work better with trainers.

I would be surprised if you are disappointed by it. Think it will look great in lots of situations.I'm also blonde, but because the blue is prominent in the pattern it works well.

Just wanted to say that I have a pair of wide leg Me&Em trousers I wear all the time and love. I am somewhere between 5’4” and 5’5” and I got these in a short. They are high waisted and fall perfectly to my ankles. The assistant said the short lengths always sell quickly. I’m not someone who would normally buy anything in a petite range.

I bought short length black velvet trousers, black cord joggers, and the ginkgo print silk & cotton skirt.

I’ll be keeping one of the trousers, just need to decide which. Both very comfy, surprisingly flattering on my short chunky legs and perfect for when I need something that is smarter than jeans but still easy to wear.

The gingko skirt is FABULOUS, long swishy flattering shape but still lightweight and breathable - but will be going back as it is way too long for me at 5’3 and not easy to take up without spoiling the shape. (Please please do a shorter length version of this skirt shape if you’re reading Me&Em!!) I will be returning a size 6 and 8 shortly if anyone say 5’6 and above is interested…

I bought that same skirt. It’s fabulous isn’t it? I tried it on when it was full price and snapped it up as soon as it went in the sale. Im 5foot4, but quite long legs and it does still reach the floor. So much so that I tripped over on a step and put my foot through it 😱

Dammit, never bought from Me + Em before. I now have 3 dresses in my basket.😬

Good to see a Me and Em thread. I have mixed feelings about their clothes currently: too voluminous, too pastel, too much polyester, and way too long (I’m 5ft 2). But still a few gems. I recently treated myself to these boots. Still expensive, even in the sale, and I didn’t need more boots, but I love them so much and have worn them practically every day since. They’re very well made and really roomy and comfortable for my wide feet.
