Sparkly skinnies - middle age tragic or ok for festive season?

I've ordered a pair of the m&s coated sparkly skinnies and can't decide if they're terrible or a handy article?!
Is it mums' night out vibe? Rod Stewart?!

If you've got a figure like the model then go for it! The whole outfit looks great. Even if you don't have that figure, they'd also look good with an oversized jumper and knee length boots.

I think you'd need to think carefully about the top and footwear so they don't look cheap.

Life is too short not to wear them. Want them, buy them, wear them, rock the fuck out of them.

Sadly I don't have a figure like the model's - I am slim though and my legs are not hideously shaped.
If my top covered the zip part I could just pretend they were leggings?

I have some similar and wear them with long tops (so they do look like leggings. I’m mid 50s and size 20 though so the fashion police would probably lock me away and throw away the key!

I think if you like skinnies and a long jumper then this is just fine. Lots of people are not giving up the look. Personally I like slim but not skinny leg.

I bought a pair of wide leg silver trousers earlier, on a whim, and am having the same internal debate!

I'm generally in the camp of wear what makes you happy, but since you asked I think they look a bit dated 🫣

OMG I had a pair like this 10 years ago when I was about 25! Mine were made by Lee though, so they were thicker and much higher quality. I suspect that those will be thin material and highly unflattering. They don't even look good on the model.

I hate to be ageist, but I personally wouldn't wear something like that as an over 30.

They’re no longer available so clearly lots of people like them. If you like them on, go for it. I’d wear with a dark silk shirt. Maybe something in a wine/burgundy colour which seems popular this season. Lots of people are still wearing skinnies.

I have so little of a clue left I don't know if I like them or not! Thry are v comfy, I worry about the arse getting saggy. Wondering now if navy would have been less glam rock?
