We still have a few weeks to go but we are up to thread 6.

Will we get any good Black Friday discounts?

we are chatty this year!

OchonAgusOchonOh · 28/11/2024 11:47

I'm still waiting for my Gruum calendar. It was shipped yesterday, which is a bit late for an international shipment. They have at least responded to my queries and upgraded the shipping to priority (or so they said, I'm not convinced they actually did😀) so we'll see.

I'm not terribly bothered if it arrives late as I'm thinking of doing it for jadvent and H&B for december and HN for the 12 days of christmas. I've been very practical with my two general calendars but I really didn't want make-up and most of the calendars have some make-up. I am looking forward to H&B as it does have a lot of stuff I'm either happy to try or already know I like. The Gruum one is a bit of a punt as they haven't released all of their contents but I have used their soap before and like it.

I got the pillow talk dreams set direct from Charlotte Tilbury at 30% off plus an extra £10 off from loyalty. So £214 instead of £325.

MiaN · 28/11/2024 14:07

I bought few hand cream sets, I really like them.

Ladybrows · 28/11/2024 14:10

Not advent calendars but could be used to fill drawers for those of you putting together your own.

Just bought two mini Decleor items for 79p in Home Bargains of all places! Googled and saw that Decleor ceased trading last December. I have spent a small fortune on Decleor of the years (pre children) but they were very pricey. Hope this is useful for some of you.

I'm paying it forward for all the wonderful bargains people have posted on this thread over the years.

Just tried to post an image but it wouldn't allow me for some reason. Bags contain one item (shower gel) or two items (shower gel/face oil/face moisturiser. For for each seems to be the same. Face moisturiser is15ml, face oil 4ml and shower gel 50ml.

Glad HN came good in the end @OchonAgusOchonOh !

Ilikeyoursleeves · 28/11/2024 16:25

I got my Grüum AC today- anyone else got this one? I've literally no idea what's in it!! It was £50 and is mainly full sized things so I'm hoping it will be good!

Are there advent opening threads yet? I also have a Space NK one 🥰

Mine was dispatched yesterday. Given it has to get to Ireland, I'm not hopeful of it being here by the 1st. The tracking link brings me to some dodgy competion page.

Has anyone managed to get the space NK extra 10% code to work. Or was it all a delusional dream?? I have the pillow talk dreams come true set in my basket, with 20% off its 254 plus you get 3 full size CT freebies. Still not sure whether it's worth getting, with an extra 10% off I'd probably be swayed.

I couldn't do it so I bought what I wanted from another site.

Didn't know they'd gone under, but now realise that I hadn't seen an overpriced with undersized/mini products advent calendar this year. They didn't help themselves with their pricing.

Ilikeyoursleeves · 28/11/2024 16:43

@OchonAgusOchonOh mine was dispatched yest too so hopefully yours will be with you tomo or Saturday fingers crossed

Are you in Ireland too? If so, that's really quick!

And if it arrives tomorrow, it will mean dh need never know. Well, except for the enclosing cardboard box as that usually requires cutting up to fit in the recycling bin and I can't do that as my fingers aren't working very well at them moment. I could hide the box in the garage and he might assume it was there all the time.

Ilikeyoursleeves · 28/11/2024 17:31

@OchonAgusOchonOh no I'm in Scotland!

@OchonAgusOchonOh no I'm in Scotland!

You had my hopes up for a bit 😁

It's customs that delays things getting here from GB.

Ilikeyoursleeves · 28/11/2024 17:52

@OchonAgusOchonOh oh sorry 🙈 I hope you get it soon!

psuedocream3 · 28/11/2024 18:08

@Ladybrows Oh that's a shame, I used to buy decleor alot as I loved the scent, but the antidote serum was excellent. I had wondered why the serum was on offer for around £16 earlier this year on Notino, I should have stocked up!

Branster · 28/11/2024 18:08

2 of the 4 boxes from hearst magazines are reduced

www.hearstmagazines.co.uk

Oof I forgot about Decleor, they really did do some lovely products but I always thought they were too much on the pricey side.

Small selection reduced stock on here (useful website to know about)

When do advent calendars go on sale? Surely after 1st Dec? I know there won't be many, if any, beauty calendars but perhaps it coukd tempt me into a extra chocolate one too 🐽👀

Most of those left are already discounted, although it's many single brands at this point. You will be lucky to find chocolate calendars left in shops after the 1st IME but they will likely be reduced from then.
