We still have a few weeks to go but we are up to thread 6.

Will we get any good Black Friday discounts?

I remember the tights calendar - really enjoyed the updates.

Thank you for all the info. 😊 I have decided to ask DH to get me the Foreo Bear 2 for Christmas as it works out about £100 cheaper than the Ziip.

Pinenu · 17/11/2024 19:30

@bigdecisionstomake oh yes, the Ukrainian day! It was fantastic.

I love seeing the various ACs people have on here, I think it makes it more festive when we all get something a little different.

Branster · 17/11/2024 19:49

@pinkchampagne1 really hard to choose isn't it? It took me absolute ages to decide on a Bear when I first got mine. Like proper consideration. Not regretting it and that's why I upgraded when I noticed they had a new model out.
Very tempted by Foreo LED mask as well but not buying it yet.
Philips Lumea was another gadget where I took 3 years to decide! Although I had the original Boots IPL machine so I knew what it was. But it's ridiculous amount of money in one go. Best money ever spent without a shadow of doubt.
On a very positive note, you can all save nearly £5000 by not bothering with Lyma Laser. There was a lady on here who reported loss of plumpness when using her machine (it would have been the original model back then). And I've read other reports of similar undesirable secondary results from using this gadget.
Naturally I was all over this when it first launched, the original model was just under £2000, but I tracked offers and savings and was quite determined to buy my own. Absolute madness, probably. Glad I didn't. Maybe the newer version is better but I'd definitely not spend £5000 on a gamble.

@Branster Yoh seem to have a wealth of knowledge in machines and masks etc….any ideas on what can help ‘turkey neck’ the Ziip wasn’t recommended due to the thyroid and it affecting it. Thanks

Addictedtobeauty · 17/11/2024 20:13

@OvaHere thank you- I am no longer stressing about a lip mask :).

tellmewhenthespaceshiplandscoz · 17/11/2024 20:23

So I've also been a sheep and gone for the VB beauty ... was able to use a new customer code HELLO15 which made my lip balm and mascara a tiny bit less spendy. All coz I am a sucker for a free gift.

I have always coveted VB beauty items though so it's an itch that needed scratching.

Branster · 17/11/2024 20:24

Good point @MrsBnow12, I haven't even thought that far. this reminded me Foreo Bear must not be used over the front part of the neck and not suitable for some heart issues (I can't remember the details but they do have a lot of warnings in the instructions).
So all these machines do have serious considerations.
There was a face yoga exercise I found specific for neck. I will look for it tomorrow afternoon and post on here. It involves lying on the bed with your head hanging over the edge. I found it quite hard but I think it's a case of preserving. It was from a book recommended on MN.
I can't think of anything specific for neck.
Some of these LED masks have neck attachments so it might be useful to explore those to see what they do. You want some sort of tightening treatment I think.
Have you ever tried a Caci facial at a salon? It is a muscle toning treatment but needs doing regularly. I know they do a jawline treatment and I wonder if there is a neck specific treatment. Although you'd need to ask if there are any restrictions for health reasons.
Something I don't know anything about, called Hifu I read about a while back, I remember it was about skin tightening, so this might be better for neck skin. But I have no idea what it is or how it works, it is a different salon treatment than Caci.

virgocatlover · 17/11/2024 20:30

Both of the Next calendars are still in stock if anyone is still looking for a multi-brand calendar.

So is the OK Beauty calendar and Just my Look. Time will tell if these get discounted.

VB also 10% on Top Cashback

IDontHateRainbows · 17/11/2024 20:33

I'm not buying any more calendars unless they are heavily discounted - surely as we get into advent they will sell off any remaining?

I'm getting a bit fatigued with ACs in general now and only so many PK elasticisers I can handle!

MrsBnow12 · 17/11/2024 20:47

@Branster Thank you so much, would appreciate if you could post the face yoga link and will look into LED masks. I have been reading loads on the internet and surgery does seem to be the only thing that works long term but have another 50lbs to lose before that’s even considered or saved up for.

GettingStuffed · 17/11/2024 20:52

I'm probably late but if you're a Sephora insider with £2500 points don't buy the insiders advent calendar. It's dire and I've seen some hilarious openings as well as some more serious ones.

I suggest you watch Alexandria Ryan's video on you tube, she is so funny, if you want to see the crap in it

pinkchampagne1 · 17/11/2024 22:33

Thank you so much for all the info. I am thinking the Bear 2 might be a good one to start with so have sent a link to DH

urbanbuddha · 18/11/2024 07:27

@MrsBnow12

LED

Might be worth a shot, it’s only £19.99 at TK Maxx just now. I have no idea if it’s contraindicated for thyroid.

CountryCob · 18/11/2024 10:02

That tights advent was so funny, the lady who shared that was so dry in her humour. Were there some care bear ones? The LinB mega discounted advent has ruined my expectations, still working through some full sized items from that, but I live in hope!

PlumRed · 18/11/2024 19:04

Lookfantastic are bringing their AC back in stock

alwaysfretting · 18/11/2024 19:11

Those of you looking to buy a Foreo, I have the £30 off Foreo at look fantastic if anyone can use it.

alwaysfretting · 18/11/2024 19:16

The voucher that was in the advent calendar I mean!

IlovePond · 18/11/2024 19:53

Revolution a/c down to £24 on LF.

Thelifeofawife · 18/11/2024 20:41

My Boots showstopper box arrived today. Very happy with the contents. I was lucky enough to get it for approx £45 with various discounts & cashback so a real bargain.
Only slight annoyance is that it’s come in a nice sturdy box which would be great for gifting, but the sellotape from cardboard sleeve has pulled some of the colour off - there’s no pleasing some people 😅

virgocatlover · 18/11/2024 20:45

The Clarins 24 day calendar is 25% off (about £116) on the Clarins site.

The tights advent is here. snagtights.com/pages/snagvent-calendar

IlovePond · 18/11/2024 22:14

Does anyone have any predictions for further BF offers over the next couple of weeks?

I am very tempted by the good offer on Estée Lauder ANR serums at EL and also by the 20% off on Hourglass eyeshadow at Sephora. But I just know that if I buy now, there’ll be an even better deal next week🙀. Did Cult Beauty do good reductions last BF? (I think someone mentioned 3 4 2 or 30% off ???)

Interesting that the LF advent calendar has come back in stock so late, (after the same thing happened with SpaceNK last week). I am wondering if we will see any other calendars make a mysterious comeback between now and next week.

I have visions of someone opening a cupboard at LF and at SpaceNK headquarters respectively, finding a load of forgotten advent calendars and thinking ‘Oops!’
