Will we get any good Black Friday discounts?

Great question- I want to know this too. It was very vague.

I was tempted but the oil put me off. My skin doesn't get along with oils for the most part. I got the Elemis Marine Collagen Oil with the LF Beauty Vault but had a reaction the first time trying it. The rest of the products I would like but are not worth the price to me.

Oh, it's a load of rubbish. Buy 2 get 1 free pr something like that. Nothing you couldn't get during a normal promotion.

I feel a bit meh about the Elemis oil. I used the Elemis superfood facial wash after a Liberty beauty box sample (I think?) and it just smelt incredibly 'green'. Not a nice soft grassy scent but like hedge water and mulch. Put me right off.

@LivinInYourBigGlassHouseWithAView - I agree - we all like different things! My friend was raving about the M&S calendar this year, whereas for me, I couldn’t get past the leg spray 😹 and I have so many nail varnishes and cleansers that I never use. I probably would have cracked if it had stayed around beyond BF, even so.

I'm also baffled about how ubiquitous SDJ is now in every AC, beauty box and edit, usually bum bum cream.

Two summers ago I was eagerly treating myself to some for holiday and now I literally roll my eyes when I see it. Familiarity really does breed contempt.

I feel the same way about the PK elasticiser! I used to buy literally litres of the stuff (still got one on the go) but it's in every bloody beauty box now!

I know!!!! I have only ever rated one product from that brand, the weightless conditioner, but all I ever see is bloody elasticiser, everywhere. I don't like how it makes my hair feel either

There are definitely a good few products that just pop up again and again.

I think if a brand / products goes in too many advents /beauty boxes it totally devalues the brand.

We are all different one persons DOD is another's holy grail but mine are ..

A bit late in the day but Glow Recipe has just launched their Advent Calendar on Cult Beauty. It's only 12 days... and £85 ...and the sizes are mostly sample... but if anyone is still looking for an AC for a younger person it's a very popular brand and GR products are good.

Vogue AC is showing as limited stock available. Do we think this means it is selling well or just a marketing ploy?

Bit unimpressed that in a 12 day calendar Glow Recipe have still stuck a hair clip and a face roller in. They feel, in a calendar that costs that much, like fillers for a full 24 one - 12 days should be minimal DoDs.

I think it's always said that. They are just saying that they've only made a limited number - to give people FOMO!

Anyone wanting to try GR is probably better buying the Fruit Babies set for £32 (less when CB are running one of their frequent discounts).

Last year the vogue calendar had something like 5000 in total, it was printed on the box. I've no idea this year but if they've started sending them out, then it may have the numbers on the box again and someone on this thread may know.

Just been to my local 'big' M&S, loads of calendars still in store...

I so wanted to buy it again this year but it didn’t come close to last years& I didn’t like the red box either. I hope next years is better as I’d buy again if anything like last years!

Has anyone found any particularly good deals on the Boots BF deals? I started scrolling through the premium skincare tab but there's well over 1000 products. Some have decent discounts and some don't.

The boots limited edition calendar was quite good at £79, reduced from £99 on BF deal.

Wouldn't recommend the showstopper beauty box unless you like loads of random minis!

Thanks. I was thinking more individual skincare items though. I think I'm done with calendars and boxes now unless something insanely irresistible is released between now and Christmas.

John lewis has 20% off some good deals on there. I'd probably look there rather than boots for individual

Liberty has popped up with ads for up to 30% off some good brands.
