We still have a few weeks to go but we are up to thread 6.

Will we get any good Black Friday discounts?

I think it was disappointment originally, but has evolved!

Yes they do the most glorious BB cream I have ever had. It's not very expensive. I also had a small pot of a tinted cream from them once in a beauty box and that was fab too!

ACAC2023 · 11/11/2024 19:00

I got the Lumene last year on offer & it was lovely but almost everything was miniature sizes. Great for travel but would only buy with a good discount

Doubleraspberry · 11/11/2024 19:00

Shame about Elf!

ElizabethG81 · 11/11/2024 19:10

I thought DOD was dead on delivery 😂

TriciaMcMillan · 11/11/2024 20:19

And now I've also bought the Lumene calendar! I hadn't used Lumene before, but I've been enjoying the Nordic-C glow boost essence from the JL beauty box and with the stacking discount I couldn't resist! I would probably have repurchased it anyway, and It has a 30ml one in the AC, so that's basically worth half the £56 already.

...Is my story, and I'm sticking to it!

Must stop now, this year it's become completely compulsive. I may need an intervention.

What's the stacking discount? Is there a code?

@virgocatlover
Try 20LUMCHARITY
It might give you 20% off.

I used my healthcare discount HSDLUM20, which I suspect I'm not supposed to share, but given they offer 15% off with WELCOME15 anyway...

Addictedtobeauty · 11/11/2024 21:01

Lumene are also on Discounts for Teachers with a 20% off code. I may have caved…

So tempted by the Lumene at a great discount but it's not even the money at this point. I have so much stuff to get through I don't feel like I can add even more. Must summon willpower because the FOMO is bad!

OvaHere · 11/11/2024 21:44

I currently have in my LF basket the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair serum which has 25% off. I've been using a 15ml that was in the Boots calendar and I really like it. I still have other serums to use up first though so I'm trying to resist the lure of buying one right now.

MrsBnow12 · 11/11/2024 21:49

For those thinking about Lumene, Diary of a beauty geek has an unboxing video on YouTube.
Think that’s my Jadvwnt sorted and glad Space NK went out of stock while debating with myself…£200 saved x

kerstina · 11/11/2024 22:39

I just watched the unboxing of the perfume shops advent. It’s sold out now but would have liked that .Good value and a nice box to keep. Did anyone get one ?

Yes I did and I may have started opening it!
The box is really good and sturdy and I intend to use it for my jewellery box when I have emptied out all of the perfumes.
Some decent size samples; some of which will be used as table presents.
Very pleased with it.

It was amazing value. The box is lovely too, one of the best to keep for putting stuff in.

EL ANR is overrated and insanely overpriced IMO. It's a peptide and hyaluronic acid serum. Back in the day it was probably special, but now you can get other, much cheaper peptide and HA serums. Check out The Ordinary multipeptide and HA (used to be Buffet)

The Nordic C Glow Boost Essence is in today’s Boots £10 Tuesday, along with 2 other Lumene products - the CC cream and a moisturiser.
I’d like to try the CC cream, but don’t like choosing shades online.

shinny · 12/11/2024 06:41

I got the Lumene moisturiser in a past Boots £10 and have started to use it and I love it. I was tempted by Lumene’s AC however sizes are all pretty small so I’m going to buy more from Vinted. Plus i have the essence from JL Beauty Box to try.

I constantly see deals on it/ freebies it was once their star product but times have changed and so have serums. For me it is all about the vit c these days.

pinkchampagne1 · 12/11/2024 07:36

I have just ordered the Lumene serum and moisturiser. I already have the serum in my JL box but for £10 I have ordered another

Housewife2010 · 12/11/2024 09:03

I really like Estee Lauder ANR. I have had a eczema/sensitive skin breakout recently, so I've stopped all actives for the week and ANR has helped my skin to recover. A drop of it is excellent in foundation/tinted moisturiser too.

IlovePond · 12/11/2024 09:35

I like ANR too and I agree with @Housewife2010 that it’s great to add into foundation. It also makes it last longer if the bottle is almost empty!

OvaHere · 12/11/2024 09:44

Thanks for everyone's thoughts about ANR. I think I'm going to buy some but I probably shouldn't do it now. I really should use up the serums I have first. That's really, really what I should do...😂
