Finished a caudelie night cream.

didn’t love it.

also used up a dove bar soap and a toothpaste.

LivingDeadGirlUK · 26/09/2025 21:37

I've also just finished a This Works perfect legs body butter, really like this but so many others to use first.

Here’s the blurb about the Ultra Violette sunscreen. I thought they pulled another line too, but I can’t find anything on it. TBH, I do wonder how often sunscreens are checked once they are in production already.
ultraviolette.com.au/pages/lean-screen-update

Interesting - thank you @Fraaahnces

Slightly relieved to see that it’s not the one that I was using, but as you say, I wonder how often sunscreens are actually tested! Ultraviolet actually specialises in sunscreens too.

81/100

ouai leave in conditioner, lovely and possibly a rebuy. Lightweight and effective.

dermalogica daily microfoliant, fabulous on my skin, one of my favourite new discoveries. Gentle yet effective.

le prunier plum beauty oil, fine but no different to any other beauty oil.

I’m using that facial oil atm. I don’t usually like facial oils, but this one I love! It just seems to work really well on my skin. Only use it occasionally in the winter though, so have had it in the go for ages.

OchonAgusOchonOh · 28/09/2025 11:40

53 down this year. I don't think I'll make the target of 100 unless I start offloading a load of stuff.

Gruum bath soak. I used it as a body butter instead as I don't like baths. It worked fine.

Bare Minerals primer. My absolute favourite primer. Will rp once I get through the stash.

Hawthorn lip balm. Brilliant balm and will rp when I get through the stash.

Purito Deep Sea pure water cream. This is a nice light day cream for summer. I need heavier duty in the winter.

No 7 eye cream. It's an eye cream. They all seem much of a muchness and last forever so I'm always really bored by the time they're finished.

Sukin scalp scrub. I got this in the H&B advent last year and was surprised to really like it. It worked well with the scalp brush.

Goku Jyun hyaluronic serum. This is good but I prefer the orange one @Fraaahnces recommended. Only problem is I have a load of hyaluronic acid serums to get through

Few more empties

Sunday Riley Pink Drink Mini - Didn't really like this as a mist. Can't say it did much and sometimes it would sting a bit.

Tsubaki Hair Repair Mask - Really like this. It suits my hair more than Fino. I have other masks to use up but will RP this one.

Numbuzin No1 SPF 50 - My favourite of all the Korean sunscreens I've tried so far. I like that it has a green tint, sits well under make up and I like the applicator nozzle. Definite RP.

Beekman 1802 Goats Milk SPF 50 - Really loved this. Took it on holiday earlier in the year and have been finishing off the last of it. Great on the face and body and is a decent size. I 100% would RP this except I haven't seen it on sale in the UK yet. I bought this with a bunch of other stuff to try from the US site. Shipping and taxes were quite a lot and everything took the best part of a month to arrive. The cost to buy the suncreen on it's own wouldn't be worth it. Beauty Bay seem to be the only UK outlet that sells Beekman but only a handful of products.

Augustinus Bader eye patches - From a beauty edit. These are nice and I would use them again but can't imagine ever buying very expensive one use items.

Garnier Moisture Bomb Night Sheet Mask - Bought a few of these on a Boots offer. It was nice and hydrating. As a k beauty mask enthusiast I was reasonably impressed with these.

Garnier Probiotic Eye mask - Again nice. I would buy again when on offer.

Pureology Hydrate Conditioner - I really like the Pureology range. It seems to suit my hair. Not sure if I like this or the Strength Cure one best. I prefer the scent of the Strength Cure but this one might have the edge on performance. The matching shampoo is nearly used up too, I probably have 2-3 washes left in the bottle. I have quite a collection of other S&C to work through but will RP this one eventually.

Vaseline jelly - A staple product that comes in handy for lots of things.

Krave great barrier relief - Soothed my skin when i had dry red patches, felt like it really protected my skin when i needed it most. Didnt feel to heavy on my skin. I would RP.

Sisley Express flower gel mask. Prefer the black rose. Nice enough.

Lush keep it fluffy - Smells nice in the pot, but when i rubbed it into my skin, comes off quite granny-ish smelling. Wouldnt RP, have two more in stash to use.

Summer Fridays CC Serum- Best vitamin C ive used. My complexion has improved and skin looks brighter. Smells nice, sinks in nicely and doesnt go off quickly like some others ive used.

@Caggie09 I finished up the Summer Fridays CC serum a while back. Agree it's really nice.

Fraaahnces · 30/09/2025 03:23

@OvaHere The Numbuzin is my fave sunscreen too. About to order some in a minute as I don’t want to be without it.

LivingDeadGirlUK · 30/09/2025 08:48

I've finished a No7 Future renew defence shield sunscreen, I really love this sunscreen and have another 2 in the stash from a 3for2 offer.

What is the boots recycle scheme? I now work next to a boots.

Experiment627 · 30/09/2025 08:52

I have some empties:

  • Simple age resisting night cream: this was really nice. I am having a bit of a love affair with Simple at the moment. They are such good value and my skin seems to like them. And actually the cheap as chips (well way cheaper actually as chips have gone up in price!) Simple hydrating light moisturiser is hamazing! Really love it and as a larger quantity last a good length of time.
  • Simple soothing eye balm: lovely and cooling on puffy under eyes
  • Purity facial treatment candle: not actually empty but wick is not right anymore. You lit this for a few minutes and then massaged the oil on to face. TBH I prferred the smell and ritual aspect that the actual results from the oil which sat a bit heavy on the skin.

Fraaahnces · 01/10/2025 15:26

Only boring reports here. Used up some generic honey & vanilla body wash. I’m not about the cupcake life. Haven’t found one I like yet. Some body lotion which was replaced with a Vaseline body serum, some Tir Tir milky toner minis. (Bloody love that stuff) Chucked out an ancient gradual tanner from Dove. It smelled suspicious. I replaced it with a new one. I find these easier to drive than regular tanner. Oral B toothpaste. Couple of Rexona roll one deodorant. Some shampoo samples I didn’t love. Kundal Bonding Mist in Woody Musk. Bloody marvelous and smells amazing. Finished a Japanese Nivea facial sunscreen. Was great but stung my eyes. Probably have one face left of my Numbuzin one mentioned above (reordered) and I have a Beauty of Joseon Sun Serum to use up also. Booooring

MidnightMeltdown · 02/10/2025 00:50

A few more from me:

  1. Body Shop Mango Body Scrub - not bad, nice scent

  2. Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel - this came in a beauty box at some point. It’s not the sort of thing I would usually buy. My brows are naturally thick and dark so I don’t ever look at brow products. However, I did actually quite like this. It’s good for neatening up strays that are pointing in the wrong direction!

  3. Omorovicza Deep Cleansing Mask - nice but I wouldn’t pay Omorovicza prices.

  4. Aurelia Miracle Cleanser - not bad, but not something I would rush to repurchase

  5. Vaseline Spray Moisturiser - I like this product. It’s quick and easy to use when in a rush, and it’s moisturising without being greasy. However, it comes out very cold so only really suitable for summer!

  6. Palmers Co-Wash - this is ancient. I bought it when I was going through my no poo phase. It’s actually really nice and leaves my hair incredibly soft and shiny, but I need to use loads of it to get my hair clean. I don’t think that it’s actually made anymore.

Total 54/110

I don’t think I’m going to meet my target either @OchonAgusOchonOhbut trying to use as much as possible before opening advent calendars! I might have a makeup sort out at some point and chuck some old bits that I’m not using. I also need to make more effort to use up my face masks.

I forgot that I had to throw out an RMS blush in Maiden’s Blush. Loved the colour, but the texture changed and it looked like the pigments were separating on my face. As well as that, it stung my eyes and the skin around my nose. Binned. It got me thinking about the false economy of large makeup products. This one is a “natural” company and its shelf life reflected that. No preservatives to justify keeping it for as long as you would need to use it up.

How long did you have it for. I've got an RMS blush in Crystal Slipper which I think is the same range. I probably should use it more.

I'm wary of some clean beauty for the same reason. I want my powders to last.

Fraaahnces · 05/10/2025 08:33

I think almost a year. Not sure. I nearly purchased Crystal Slipper too. I have a couple of glowy KBeauty ones that aren’t “clean”, perform better and cost about 1/4 what I spent on the RMS.

Caggie09 · 05/10/2025 09:12

Mix of perfume samples. Nothing stood out apart from La Bomba by Carolina Herrera. Diptyque was nice though.

Tula sugar scrub. Used on my body wouldnt use this on my face these days. Boring.

Briogeo moisture conditioner. Feel like this had an odd smell. It was from Tkmaxx so could of been really old stock. Not bothered by it really.

4 taking me to 64/80

Loved the MZskin eye cream

The rest were fine. I can’t decided if I prefer Aveda or Kerestace. My hair is prone to breakage at the ends. Anyway I’ll try something else next.

A razor binned. Time for a new one.

lee Stafford purple shampoo finished

a bath bomb bombed. (Full of glitter so bath is now sparkly!)

handsoap

Fraaahnces · 06/10/2025 00:34

I am about to do a YesStyle order. I’m almost out of a couple of things I can’t live without. Going to try a new hair oil and buy some neon eyeliner for when I go to Lady Gaga in Dec.

MyRabbit79 · 06/10/2025 16:06

Quite a few makeup empties all at once.

Glossier Boy Brow and their brow pen. I don’t think either of these is worth the price tag. Have bought equivalents from NYX and Elf to compare

Revlon eye primer. Did the job

Kkko eyebrow pencil. Love this but it’s one of the annoying special editions that Kiko does, so I can’t currently rebuy it.

Random Spanish eyeliner pen. Binning unused as it smudges like hell

Eyeko tubing mascara. This used to be a favourite but this one didn’t wow me. Wonder if they’ve changed the formula.

Vieve concealer. Very similar to the Nars creamy concealer but I’ve gone back to the Nars as I need mega coverage for my dark circles. This is still really good though.

Oskia Renaissance mask. I enjoy this, i have a full tub in my stash. But, i think i prefer DE Baby facial for better results. I do love the rose scent to this though.

Feather & down bath milk. Years old, smelt musty😵

Multiple nail varnishes decluttered.

2 Perfumes decluttered. Smell off👀

Lush lip scrub also decluttered.
