@MotherWol - if you order from StyleKorean or Olive Young it’s a bit more expensive (but sales are amazing, so keep checking) and shipping is really quick. I have heard JOLSE is good too, but haven’t used them yet.

I am giving away my Dove Pro Age hand cream - nice but just not a fan of the smell.
I am also chucking a Boots Original Lip salve which must have fallen on the bathroom floor a few too many times as I cannot even get to the stick now! Was not a fan anyhoo.
Also have empty of Clairol revitashine intense treatment which came with the Clairol Pure Brunette hair colour I used a while back. Was ok.

Used up an olaplex shampoo today as well as veet post shave oil. And a moisturiser.

MyRabbit79 · 01/11/2025 22:26

E45 hand cream - effective and boring

simple cream cleanser - weirdly for a Simple product u found this slightly stingy so wouldn’t rebuy

Elf holy hydration face wash - this is my usual morning cleanser in the shower and it’s great. Have replaced it with an Aldi one but will probably go back to it

Revlon brown liquid eyeliner. Great, would rebuy but am using up a black version first.

Hello
Can I join pls
I have my first beauty advent calendar this year and I want you use up as much of my existing skincare ad possible
I have a LOT of moisturiser and serums in my cabinet
In fact I will put them all in one box so I can see them
I also have various highly perfumed handcreams that I could use on my legs
I won't include shampoos as I see them more as a necessity

Experiment627 · 02/11/2025 07:59

Welcome @Cassavaflower!!!

@Fraaahncesplease could I also ask you for a recommendation, as I think we both have dry skin type? (Sorry! You should do an AMA 😂). I need a new cleanser and I’ve already tried the dodko one (hated it) and also a hada labo cream cleanser in a white tube. Didn’t like that either. Any cleansers you’ve liked that are hydrating and not stripping? I tend to avoid foam cleansers usually as find them drying.. any ideas?

Fraaahnces · 02/11/2025 12:40

@paristotokyo I really like these ones. They’re all Japanese but available on lots of KBeauty sites. (Don’t know if Japanwithlovestore delivers where you are but also worth a look. Website is not quite as user friendly…)
So these are all foaming ones which are watery liquid that is aerated as you pump it out. I found none of these stripping at all. My favourite two are the Curel Foaming Makeup Cleanser (full of lovely ceramides) and the Kao Biore Face Foam Deep Moist (pink one). The other two (Biore Facial Wash Foaming Rich and SANA Nameraka Honpo Foaming Face Wash which would be fourth choice ) are also very good but the first definitely have the edge.

KS Goat milk cleanser. Brilliant stuff, such a gentle cleanser. Moving onto a Tatcha cleanser next, but will repurchase when the BF offers start!

SNK bubble bath sample. Was going to buy this, glad i got the sample as i didnt enjoy it that much. My skin felt dry while i was in the bath, and i wish the scent was stronger. Wont be buying now!

Also used x2 cleanser samples.

@Fraaahncesthank you! They was very helpful. I can pick up the curel from a local store so I think that will be my next purchase

Fraaahnces · 03/11/2025 00:32

@paristotokyo Fantastic! I hope you love it! I genuinely love how clean and juicy my skin feels when I am using this one!

ThatPinkShark · 03/11/2025 08:27

I also love the shampoo of living proof restore very much.

MidnightMeltdown · 03/11/2025 15:23

More empties:

  1. By Terry Micellar water - nice enough but I wouldn’t pay the extra over regular Micellar water

  2. Venn All in one concentrate - like this. Good texture and handy for travel

  3. Jo Malone English Pear and Freesia - nice for summer. Not sure that I loved it enough to RP though.

  4. Bum Bum Cream - nice cream but sick of the scent. Still have loads of these in the stash!

  5. Hourglass concealer - staple in my makeup bag

Total 62/110

@whatsit84I like to set a target because it encourages me to use things up before opening something new, rather than ending up with a zillion half used products all over the place. I’m a long way off this year though!

I'd like to join but not sure what a realistic target would be? This week I have my birthday so I can use it as a marker to start maybe 100 products before my next birthday?
Maybe 100 is ambitious. It might encourage me to use things I'm somehow 'saving for best'!

suburburban · 03/11/2025 19:15

I think I’ve recycled 80 at Boots this year and used up some other things as well

OvaHere · 03/11/2025 19:23

@MidnightMeltdown I love the Hourglass concealer too.

I aimed for 100 but won't make it. I'm currently at 60. However, if you've lots of small sizes you'd find it easier to hit the target.

It doesn't really matter what you aim for. It's seeing progress that has helped me rein it on in.

Fraaahnces · 04/11/2025 03:15

@OchonAgusOchonOh 60 is still really good! I know my stockpile was bonkers. It’s much more reasonable now and I am unlikely to go hog wild with online shopping. (Maybe interests have changed too…)

I am pleased. They're mainly full sizes so it's pretty good.

Keeping track has made me more mindful in my purchasing. Before, if I saw a good offer or edir, I would buy without considering whether I needed it or not.

DidILeaveTheGasOn · 04/11/2025 11:20

Great, going for a target of 100. I would like to reduce my spending and actually use some of the things I've bought. I had the Advanced night repair serum for months and didn't use it because it was so nice (?!) so am now using this every evening.
Do need to stop thinking the next purchase will be the miracle product...

The other thing I have found helpful is separating products by type so I can easily see if I need something. I have possibly gone a little ott on that by putting everything in an excel spreadsheet with each type of product on a seperate sheet and some nice formulae calculating subtotals, numbers in and out etc.

DidILeaveTheGasOn · 04/11/2025 12:07

@OchonAgusOchonOh Do you have products grouped into type in the bathroom/wherever your products are? I only keep cleansers in the bathroom and the rest is on my dressing table. I think I could do with little pots or trays to separate things out but I'm not sure how to sort it.

There could well be a spreadsheet in my future...

DidILeaveTheGasOn · 04/11/2025 12:10

Maybe something like this?
