Not empty but I'm getting rid of this Rimmel Wonder Last eyeshadow stick. It lasts really well on my oily eyelids but it is shimmery and the glitter seems to travel around the rest of my face and leave me with a glittery forehead and nose etc by the end of the day. The actual eyeshadow stick part also snapped after only a couple of uses.

I may have been unlucky with this one and I'd potentially try other matte colours but Elf also do a matte shadow stick that I like already.

Few more empties to report
Molten Brown fiery pink pepper hand cream - smelt lovely, didn't really moisturise though.
Promise by Jennifer Lopez- sample, smelt ok, reminds me of something else but can't think what
Batiste dry shampoo- ok, leaves abit of a white cast
Clarins mini lip comfort oil- just a fancy lip gloss? Probably wouldn't rp
Superdrug optimum peptide night cream- I liked this, might rp.
Sanctuary body polish- love the sanctuary stuff

Total 69/100

@MidnightMeltdown Good thing you’re done with the Ultra Violette. Several of their “flavours” have been recalled as their SPF protection was really inconsistent, testing anywhere between 4 and 60.

CorneliaStreet · 11/09/2025 15:24

Empties:

Sunday Riley Pink Drink essence - 10ml. Not keen, felt a bit harsh and stung my skin a bit sometimes.

Ren Bio Retinoid serum - 30ml. Didn’t smell nice and gunked in up the pump between uses. Not sure it really did anything for my skin either.

Some By Mi Propolis B5 Glow Barrier Calming serum - 10ml. Not my favourite propolis product (the Cosrx propolis toner) but still very nice.

Lancome Advanced Genifique serum - 7ml. Love this, feels so lovely to use. Now have a bigger size thanks to the recent Lancome beauty box.

Numbuzin No. 1 Clear Filter Sun Essence - 50ml. Really lightweight and lovely texture and finish. Did pill a bit on me occasionally though, maybe didn’t like certain serums I was using.

Perfume minis / samples - Nest Lychee Rose, SDJ 62, 7 Virtues Clementine Dream and Vanilla Woods. Trying to finish off some perfume to make room for the contents of the LF fragrance advent, so won’t be buying any of these (there’s a lifetime’s supply of Sol de Janeiro in DD’s room anyway).

Lush Lemon shower gel - 285g. From the July subscription box, so got through this pretty quickly. Gorgeous summer scent, citrusy without being cleaning product-like.

Mallows White Chocolate Body scrub - 50g. I reckon most people over the age of 12 or so would probably loathe the scent of this but I quite liked it 😆 Foaming scrub formula so doubles up as a body wash.

Korres Thyme Honey Body Smoothing Milk - 200ml. Didn’t like the scent quite as much as the Basil Lemon one, but still pretty good.

Lush Yuzu & Cocoa body lotion - 100g. Scent was a bit much but a nice lotion formula, a bit lighter than some of the other Lush ones.

A few more empties.

Orjena micellar water - a perfectly fine micellar water. Nothing to set it apart from any other but it did the job.

Thisworks deep sleep body cocoon body lotion - nice enough. The scent lasts a long time on the skin. I probably wouldn't rp because there are other body lotions I prefer but would happily use it again if it was a gift.

REN cleansing gel - again, nothing to write home about but it did what it was supposed to.

I just have never had any pay off from REN BHA. Completely blah but given as a freebie everywhere.
pointless in my opinion

Fraaahnces · 12/09/2025 08:43

@CorneliaStreet I didn’t find the Numbuzin sunscreen pilled on me at all. You’re probably right that it was your serums. I haven’t used one since discovering ampoules and K toners.

OchonAgusOchonOh · 12/09/2025 11:11

No 7 cleansing balm - I really like this. To be honest, I don't really notice much difference between any of the cleansing balms other than scent. I've tried the Aldi one, the M&S one, the No 7 one and the Elemis one. They all seem to do the job effectively with slightly varying levels of greasiness.

Bum Bum cream. I know lots of people hate it but I like it. Not enough to buy it but I'm always happy to get a small pot.

Lumene primer. This is lovely. I prefer the Bare Minerals one though so won't be RP'ing.

Espa conditioner. There was also a shampoo. No different to any other shampoo or conditioner. That said, I have pretty easy hair that doesn't need anything special.

Phillip Roth rose mask. It smelt lovely and my face did feel soft afterwards. I also have a cucumber one but suspect that may be more drying.

I have finished &Honey (dumb name) cleansing balm - the moist one. (Sorry for those who hate that word - it’s what it says on the jar.) It’s lovely and it’s cheap. Daiso has started selling quite a few JBeauty products here and I also think there has been a bit of a push into the Aussie market since tariffs came out to play in USA. (A lot of things have become significantly cheaper here and I’m not sad about it.)
Also Softymo cleansing oils in limited edition Sakura and Osmanthus scents. My DD1 fell for my first bottle of the Sakura one and I ended up giving it to her along with the matching foaming cleanser. (I had purchased this to travel to her place, so I justified this by telling myself that it made my bags lighter… also, was just the tiniest bit drying for me, so not sobbing in my sleep over that one.)
Finished Biore Moist (there I go again!) Foam Cleanser. I like this almost as much as my beloved Curel and it’s half the price.
I have binned the Bondi Sands Tanning Oil bottle that makes me army green for days. Thank god I didn’t put it on my face.

BlueHeat · 12/09/2025 13:10

One empty and one throw out from me, I’m making slow progress:

Medik8 Advanced Night Restore cream - Throwing it out and should’ve done it ages ago. It contains lots of irritating ingredients, makes my skin flush red when I apply it and I’m sure it was responsible for some closed comedones I experienced recently. I bought it without checking the ingredients properly and will be sure not to make that mistake again as it’s such a waste of money.

medicube PDRN Pink Vita Coating Mask - This is lovely, makes my skin all glowy and plump. Have a few more in my stash to enjoy.

78/100

Augustinus Bader ultimate soothing cream - I love this, always happy to see it in a box or calendar. A little goes a long way.

Memo Irish Leather - gorgeous on Mr Shoe, will pick more up on Vinted.

Ultra Violette lean screen - bin due to test failings. It also went a bit white and patchy if I sweated.

I'm chucking a M&S Discover coconut perfume as it seems to have lost its scent.

ememem84 · 13/09/2025 10:59

hask leave in conditioner finished today. Didn’t like the smell but persevered and used it up. Probably used more than I needed to today.

We don’t waste anything!

Definitely not! I didn’t think of using unloved face creams and serums on my body before I joined this thread.

Champneys Body Balm - I absolutely love this stuff and it's a regular purchase for me. I am sad to see it go as I only have a little bit of the Sleep scent left and then I'll be completely out of Champneys. I do prefer the Calm scent and it lasts for absolutely ages on my skin.

I have some cheaper body lotion that needs using up so I'll hope for more of the body balm for birthday and Christmas!

Just coming out of Winter here (or “Not Summer” as I like to call it. Suspect it will be hot, sticky and humid AF in a couple of weeks.) Throw in the health issues, and my skin is soooo dry. I forgot I had been using up face products on my bod before I became unwell so thank you @BlueHeat for reminding me. I have been plowing through a body lotion my daughter bought for me just to use it up. It smells lovely, but doesn’t do a damn thing. (MOR Mimosa Flower and Lavender - if “Fluffy” had a scent, this is it.) It has a very pretty pump bottle though. I found an almost expired refill sachet of Hada Labo Gokujyun Premium Emulsion and tipped it on top of the remainder and it’s bloody fantastic. Not remotely sticky or greasy but super effective. Going to get back on that habit of using things up.

Has that been discontinued? Couldn’t see it on the Champneys website…

BlueLimeRun · 15/09/2025 08:11

Hope you are better @Fraaahnces good to see you 😊

I’m very out of date with posting.

I think I’ve probably around 60/80

L’oreal bond repair - useless, makes hair worse! Am chucking.
Bramley face cream - was fine.
Aromatherapy associates shower oil - it’s nice but I’m too busy for the breathing in experience faff.
MZSkin eye cream, lived it. V expensive though. The pot did last a while.
Votary light face cream, not hydrating enough for me.

@Choux oh no I really hope not! It's my absolute favourite and I normally get given a good stash of them for Christmas so that'll be the last time I was bought some. But I can't see it online at Boots either. Whyyyyy do companies do this. 😢

Caggie09 · 16/09/2025 17:04

Aveeno conditioner. It was okay. Didnt wow me, the shampoo didnt make my hair feel clean either.

Garnier repairing sheet mask. Not my favourite from the range of them. Wont RP.

@Thereislightattheendofthetunnelyour arch nemesis 🤣🤣🤣 could you not give them away - I hate to see you suffer!

Chances are someone else might think they are shit too and put them in the bin. Considering the manufacturing process and time energy and resources into them I can’t bring myself to put them in the bin or pass them along. So I use them up reluctantly. There is only two left now so my predicament is ending soon 🤣

Fraaahnces · 17/09/2025 06:45

I have to admire your tenacity, especially with ratshit hair products @Thereislightattheendofthetunnel. I do not have your control. I wouldn’t have chucked them out, but luckily DH & DS are not so fussy. They’d put up with it if it meant saving money. (Let’s be honest, they use head & shoulders 2in1 so might still be an improvement.)
I had a look through my stash last night. It’s been whittled down to a much more manageable size since I’ve been unwell. I am going to bin a heap of makeup that I am unlikely to use. Things have really taken a turn. I’m contemplating a “signature” work face and working from there. My skincare stash is very minimal now. Nothing in until something’s out. Hair care I go through very quickly now. It would seem that since having improved heart function, my alopecia has almost left the building. With that and better products, my hair is almost as long and strong as when I was a teenager. (Will never be thick though.)

ememem84 · 17/09/2025 08:19

Finished up a Clarins micellar water 150ml yesterday. Nice but I don’t think there’s much difference between this and the garnier one except price.

Experiment627 · 17/09/2025 09:01

@Fraaahnces I am pleased you tresses are returning but sad you have been so unwell.

I have some empties:

  • Wild pink grapefruit and lime deodorant refill: actually really liked this one but think it was limited edition.
  • Prai ageless hand cream: really small tube which I kept in my handbag. Nice but not revolutionary.
  • Boots everyday sensitive skin cleansing wipes: bought these as I had a work trip coming up. But the thing is if I have wipes around I get lazy and stop cleansing properly and that is not good! So I am going to try and not RP.

Lancome eye cream - still really like it. Probably not necessary, but it’s always part of a set, so why not😁

Kate Somerville goat milk cleanser- nothing special, although lasted a long time.

Elizabeth Arden 8h miracle oil- lovely body oil, smells like a melon.

Lancome bi-facil cleanser - same as any other, really. Did the job very good.

Emma Levisham serum sample - maybe it’s wishful thinking, but it did seem to plump my skin. Probably will buy the discovery set now.

Lancome peptide cream - love it, so far my favourite cream.

Amika midnight mender hair cream - smells nice but not super effective.
