Kose cleansing oil - this is my favourite cleansing oil and I often rebuy. Gentle but very effective. Have a Biore one to move to next
Purito unscented recovery cream - had this a long time but finally used it up. It’s a light day time moisturiser, does the job but nothing special
AB the face cream mask - I haven’t met an AB product I don’t like yet. Used this as a night mask/moisturiser, was fab. Would never rp at the price point
Skin1004 centelle ampoule - a staple. Calming for sensitive skin

kerastase conditioner 100ml (the Bain nutri fortifiant one to match the shampoo I used up earlier this week)

binned a razor in favor of a new one.

finally finished a 500ml aveeno moisturiser. Didn’t like the no smell of this. But lovely and moisturising.

Experiment627 · 06/09/2025 14:42

@ITookYourJoobthat is so interesting - I really did not see different results - although I think you are right, the Redken one needs more sprays to be effective.

I dropped off the thread again 😔so lovely to read everyone’s updates, and glad you’re doing better @Fraaahnces !

I haven’t had any empties in ages, so here’s my roundup of a few that I got through over the summer:

Sanex deodorant: effective, but I found the sunscreen-like smell a bit off putting
Mitchum roll-on: I really like this one in spray, but the roll-on didn’t do it for me.
Dr Bronners eucalyptus soap: really nice, but more subtle than the mint, would RP
Elemis cleansing balm: loved the smell, found the texture a bit more sticky than other balm cleansers and it’s more pricey so probably wouldn’t RP but the jar is a great size for travel so will refill.
Skin & Me daily dose: I’ve just started on tret and S&M start you off with a really low dose (0.006) so it’s too early to say if it’s making a difference, but I’m going to stick with it for a couple of months to see how it compares.
L’occitane verbena hand gel: lovely refreshing scent, sinks in quickly, non sticky.
Umberto gianni banana air dry cream: didn’t work well on my frizzy loose waves but is great on my daughter’s 3A curls so passed on.

I have a few empties:

My DDs finished the stash of bathbombs that we had in the shape of a cupcake so that is one category gone. They are now eyeing my bath salts as a replacement 🤣. They used up the last 4 we had.

Dove peony and rose bath salts. Too old school scent for me. I like the feeling they leave on skin but not the scent.

Seven kids eau de cologne. A cologne for kids that I was not a fan of.

My arch nemesis Mason and Miller conditioner. Closer to be eradicated from my life pnly two more left to go. I used up other 2 recently. Hate them.

Guerlain orchidee imperiale cream. I can’t justify the price of these, probably when I finish up my stash first, but this was one of the best face creams I have ever tried. Rich texture without being creasy, absorbs really well and leaves a nice feeling on the skin. The scent is pleasant but the price tag very stingy. I would love to try one full size to see what the results are like.

Rituals violet had wash. Lovely leafy scent . I woud rp.

Lacura aldi Bonded purple shampoo. This was awful. Suffice to say that I am bot blonde but this was way to stripping and left the hair feeling dry like straw. Lots of purple pigment in it. Was dreadful.

Ricitos de oro lavanda y lechuga bath wash and dhampoo. Used mainly as a body wash, was lovely to use and DD loved it. She is a fan 🪭 of the fragrance.

Garnier Super UV spf fluid 50+. My go to facial spf. Easy to apply, sinks in quickly and works well under my makeup. Doesnt leave me greasy or break me out. I do prefer my spf not to be a thick cream so this is perfect for me.

First aid beauty Radiance pads. I enjoy using these, i do love the DDG pads but very pricey. Gentle enough of my skin and its looks refreshed after ive used. Have another pot in backup. Moving onto PC BHA liquid.

Beauty of Joseon calming sheet mask. Nice enough, first product ive tried from them. Would try more.

Forgot to add

Bubbles raincloud. Haven’t used it myself but dd liked it.

Hello all, please can I join? I have a real addiction to buying beauty products so I've promised myself I'll start using them up. In the spirit of that I do have some empties to share.

Garnier Pineapple Hair Food - I was mainly using this as a leave in conditioner and it smelled amazing but was a bit too heavy for my hair (which is thick but tends to get greasy quickly.) I won't repurchase but if you have drier hair this could be good, and it's cheap.

Radox Bath Soak - my most purchased bubble bath as it's very cheap but also very bubbly! I'm going to try to not buy any more for a while though as I have loads of bath bombs I need to use up.

Meditate Apothecary Hand Cream - I'm pretty sure this was in a M&S advent calendar a couple of years ago or at least was a gift and has been knocking around for ages. I'm not very good at using up hand cream so am glad it's finished. It was perfectly fine but I wouldn't go out of my way to buy it.

2 used up today. Its either none at all or loads at once!

Lacura dramatic lash mascara. I have a love hate realtionship with this. Some days i love it, some days im not keen. I like how my lashes look, but i dont like plastic wands. I do have another in my stash, but wont open right away.

Ven Effect lip treatment. This was one of those products you have in stash that you think meh about opening but then suprised how much you like it. I was expecting balm texture, but its a light cream. A little goes along way, and when i woke up in the morning my lips felt hydrated. Cant say it helped with fine lines, as i dont have that issue yet! Think its now discontinued though!

OvaHere · 09/09/2025 10:23

A few empties

Anua Mask - staple favourite which has featured a number of times on this thread.

Dr Jart Hydra Mask - not impressed. Didn't find it especially hydrating. Luckily I only had one to try. Wouldn't RP.

Patchology eye patches - free gift with an order. They were okay. Kept slipping down my face. Much prefer the Heimish rose ones I have in a tub.

Tatcha Rice cleanser - used a few of these and think I have another travel size in the stash. Lovely cleanser, is one I would RP (if I didn't have so many cleansers to use up)

Aprilskin Carotene cleansing balm - first time trying this. Found the bright orange a bit off putting at first but it doesn't stain the the skin or leave residue. Quite fragranced and does make my eyes slightly cloudy if removing eye make up. However it's a fantastic texture and very melty and does a good job removing everything. Leaves skin feeling nice and not dry. On balance I probably won't RP as there's balms I like better but if I got one in a beauty box etc. I would use it.

Allies of Skin multi peptides & growth factor serum - sadly I loved this as it's very expensive. It was only 7ml so using it just on a night I got maybe 10 days from it. Even so felt like it made a small difference. Can't say if it's a RP as it's so expensive. Maybe when I've used up all my existing serums.

More empties:

  1. Paula’s Choice C15 Super Booster - quite liked this but probably wouldn’t buy

  2. Elemis cleansing balm - great cleansing balm

  3. Ultra Violette SPF50 - not keen. Too greasy. Although I did like the fact that it wasn’t white.

  4. Iconic London Mascara - love the fact that it doesn’t smudge, but it doesn’t last long. Flakes off quickly.

  5. Laneige Water Sleeping Mask - I liked this. It’s the perfect texture for me. Moisturising without being thick and greasy.

Total 48/110

Pleased to see how much progress everyone’s making!

I’ve a few empties to report:

Hourglass Unlocked Instant Extensions Mascara - love this mascara, it doesn’t smudge on me or go clumpy. This was my third tube, possibly fourth, and I’ll buy it again but only once I’ve worked my way through a few different mascaras I’ve got in my stash.

Oribe Gold Lust dry shampoo - really great dry shampoo, nice and light and smells good. Would probably purchase again just not at full price.

Paula’s Choice 2% BHA Exfoliant mini - this is a staple and seems to be included in every advent calendar and gwp. Have a few more in my stash to use up next.

You snap them. I spent time puzzling over this the first time. Unfortunately it means once opened you need to stand in something upright and maybe put in a little bag.

I think after snapping the top off, that you put the bit you snapped off into the tube as a stopper. Good idea as OvaHere said to stand them up and try to protect them in a ziplock or similar Smile

Oh now I've learned something new also. That didn't occur to me even though I had figured out you snap them off. 😂

I had one from REN that fortunately explained it in detail!
