Perfume done. (Well bottle gone). I’ve decantedbit into an atomiser for my bag.

tommy girl. My 16 year old selfs perfume of choice. I may rebuy it at some point but have a few others to work through.

I have some empties to report:

  • Steradent active plus daily cleaner: I feel so resentful that I have to buy these cleaners... have any of you tried an ultrasonic cleaner for mouthguards? Maybe that is the way to go - more sustainable and in the long run cheaper?
  • Vagisil daily soothe & protect cream: my unexplained itching took up residence recently in my Lady Garden. This has been a GOD SEND. I am now using every day just to keep on top of things.

I have a simple mouthguard for nighttime and my dentist told me to clean it just with soap (I use a toothbrush for this) as denture cleaners would make it cloudy. Have done this for over a year and it annd I are both fine 🙂

Experiment627 · 30/08/2025 11:12

@WrinklesShminkles I WISH I had been told this - mine is cloudy and stained! What soap do you use? I will need to get a new one soon - want to make sure I start off well this time!

WrinklesShminkles · 30/08/2025 11:26

Any old bar soap; mine tend to be L'Occitane or similar, in a smaller size. If you want to use a gentle one, I've used Dr Bronner's in Peppermint to make it more toothpaste-y. Not that it had a very strong scent.

paristotokyo · 30/08/2025 13:50

@Fraaahncesooh I love the tsubaki range. I’m currently using the shampoo and conditioner (purple bottle) for hair fall (I think?) and they are lovely and smell so good. I’m also a fellow cat hair person 😂 nice to see you back.

wheresmyshoe · 30/08/2025 16:04

75/100

Seated Queen - Cassiopeia serum concentrate. This is a lovely product but impossible to get out of the bottle with the tiny dropper, it’s too thick. I shook as much as I could out instead.

REN Atlantic kelp toning body oil. I’m not sure it tones but it’s a gorgeous moisturising body oil. I’m going to seriously miss REN.

A few more empties:

  1. Amika Dry Shampoo - fine, but no better than cheaper alternatives

  2. Bare Minerals Moisturiser - this seemed ok, but I’ve had a lot of breakouts lately, and I’m not sure whether or not they were caused by this

  3. Dermalogica eye serum - this was a Mary Poppins eye serum. I’ve had it on the go for about a year, and every time I thought it was used up, more kept coming out!

Total 43/110

I don’t know how@wheresmyshoehas managed to use up 75 products, and I’ve only managed 43! I clearly need to up my game 😂

I’ve been on a serious mission @MidnightMeltdown helped along by my outrageous stash of tiny GWP/advent products. I’m so well moisturised that I’m in danger of slipping out of bed Grin

OvaHere · 30/08/2025 18:26

Missed an empty when I posted the other day.

Ouai Wave Spray travel size 50ml - Liked this and repurchased a full size one.

@wheresmyshoe🤣🤣

I need to do this! Have a few trips coming up over the next couple of months so will try to make a dent in my outrageous stash of minis!

I need to listen to my own advice next year and stopped being sucked in by gwps or edits full of minis. I end up with so many they stop me cracking on and using my full sizes. My brain finds them satisfying because I can use them up fairly quickly and get the buzz from the novelty of trying yet another different product. Meanwhile I have big sizes of tried and trusted faves languishing whilst I'm like a magpie over new, shiny things.

I aim to properly shop my stash in the next year and not in the pretendy way I've been doing it this year. 😂

I have been trying to get through some of my larger products this year, which I think is partly why I’ve been low on the empties count. Currently have a 75ml face moisturiser on the go (amongst others!), which is going to take me an age to get through. I tend to stash minis for travelling as they’re so handy. I clearly need to go on more holidays! 😂

I have all sorts that I think will be useful for travel. I've hardly been anywhere this year. Granted it's been an unusual year with various life events that have prevented travelling about much, even just to visit family. Need to rectify that next year.

I’m a massive fan of this wave spray too, along with the Ouai fine hair shampoo and fine hair conditioner (I buy the massive refill packs).

Caggie09 · 31/08/2025 21:07

Sol de janeiro bum bum cream. I dont think ive ever purchased one of these myself, they sort of just appear😂 Lovely summer scent, reminds me of holidays and makes my skin soft. I would use again, but i wouldnt go out my way to buy it. At this point who hasnt came across this in advents or gwp's.. I do love the purple tub one though, and do repurchase that one.

Experiment627 · 01/09/2025 10:37

A few more empties to report:
Tresemme replenish & cleanse shampoo: fab on my oily roots
Bootw everyday fresh lime hand wash: only got this as 85p!!! Back to soap!

Just had an email to say LF & Cult will no longer be rewarding for the Recycle Me Scheme. I stopped using it after the last change. Cant see why anyone would bother sending empty products off with no reward now😶

Fraaahnces · 02/09/2025 09:23

@paristotokyo Mine is the regular yellow Tsubaki shampoo. I buy the refill sachets and pop it back in my bottles. I love this option as it’s better for landfill. I have noticed JBeauty is much better with this than K or Euro beauty. Daiso near me has started selling more JBeauty products including these and it’s bought the price down. Winning!!! I forgot to mention that I am on my 3rd bottle of Orbis Essence in Hair Milk. I am actually crediting this with the new strength and volume my hair is showing. I have discovered a website that sends it in refill sachets and saves me money too. I have recently added the matching treatment spray as a pre-dry treatment and it’s fab too.

ITookYourJoob · 02/09/2025 11:07

Some more empties:

Redken One United treatment - @Experiment627 - it was really interesting to watch your video about this and Colourfanatic one. 😇 I am definitely not impressed by this one. I needed to put almost handful in my hair to see any smoothness 😬 So yep, Blowout Professor wins again (for me).

Fresh soy face clean - bit meh and difficult to rinse off. A bit slimy almost.

SDJ 59 body spray - I used it as a deodorant. It is a very strong and long lasting scent. Very sweet but that’s what they are known for.

Fenty beauty lip gloss Glass slipper - awful. Sooo sticky and gloopy. I should really stop trusting Reddit reviews.

Tacha dewy skin cream - hmm, it’s a nice cream but sits on skin for too long. I am now using the green version and think I prefer it.

Dermalogica vitamin c and retinol- part of a set. So I bought two sets to try out the range. Not too impressed by most of them but these two did seem to work really well. Retinol dried my skin out practically immediately (as expected), vitamin C is brightening but the smell.. I just can’t enjoy it.

empty - Kerastase Genesis Bain Nutri fortifiant shampoo. a travel size (100ml) bottle. i tried this to see if would help my hair grow after chemo.

loved it. bought full size. still have the conditioner to use up - so will use this up with my lee stafford purple shampoo. which i also love. then can get these out of the bathroom.

DM has done a very kind thing and has gifted me a bunch of clarins minis.

i have:

a trial sachet of double serum
SOS primer (10ml)
extra firming day cream (5ml)
UV plus multi protection moisturising serum (10ml)
total eye revive (7ml)
multi active revitalising treatment essence (50ml)
comfort scrub (5ml)
fresh scrub (5ml)
cryo flash cream mask (15ml)

so this is a nice treat. although it has cluttered things up some what.

Caggie09 · 02/09/2025 18:22

Dove foaming bath soak in peony & rose scent. As summer ends i take more baths, enjoyed using this. Nice bubbles, but dont last long. Loved the scent. Perfect for me. Would repurchase.

I saw that too, definitely won’t be bothering now. But I feel weird not saving up all my empties!

Caggie09 · 05/09/2025 13:58

Prada candy perfume. My third bottle of this. Very sweet and feminine. I would repurchase. Might drop hints for xmas😅

Loreal blowdry cream. Must of had thos for around 3 year😶 Think i only enjoyed the scent of this. When i used it my hair felt knotty and ratty.
