@paristotokyothank GOD my little one stays away from my beauty stuff now he is older! I used to get very anxious when he toyed with my make-up as a toddler.

I have an empty:
Simple soothing water cream: OH MY! Absolutely loved this cream - very hydrating, soothing and lightweight!

AB the rich cream - I’m so dissapointed this has finished as I love it. I’d never pay full price so was buying them off Vinted but we don’t have Vinted where I live now so that’s sad.. I use as a night cream and my skins always lovely the following morning. It seems to really love whatevers in this. Sigh.
SR autocorrect eye cream - also picked these up from vinted as I would never pay the full price. I discovered it in an edit I think and found that it’s instantly brightening, but I’m a little bored of it as even this small size lasts forever and I have two more to use up.. I do like it though.

The ordinary “highly ironic” (hylauronic) acid finally finished.

These are two of my fave products but agree the full price AB is just too much. It's a shame you don't have Vinted now. Lookfantastic has a mini set with the 15ml for £77 at the moment if that ships to where you are. Still not as cheap as Vinted but not too bad.

I think I'm going to chuck the Fresh Elements Glow day cream sample I got in this years M&S calendar, it feels awful on the skin.

BlueLimeRun · 13/07/2025 20:33

@LivingDeadGirlUK agree - I thought it was awful.

Ooh I threw mine away a few weeks ago. I thought it had gone off it had such a funny texture.

paristotokyo · 14/07/2025 03:14

@OvaHereooh thanks for sharing. I do love the serum also! Will have to check their shipping…

LivingDeadGirlUK · 14/07/2025 14:09

Glad its not just me that didn't get on with it then!

Minnie123456 · 15/07/2025 23:23

I have failed completely on my no buy🤦‍♀️ I have just ordered the liberty Scent with love kit and a Sunday Riley moisturiser using my bd credit, my way of thinking is that now I can't get the AC this year as I don't have enough credit, I'm hoping to not buy any as I had far too many last year. I also ordered a bottle of Juliette has a gun magnolia bliss as I loved the sample and the bottle was 1/2 price.
@paristotokyo I love the AB cream as well but can't justify the price, unfortunately it makes my skin feel lovely.

Few empties to report:
LBTY Liquid eye patch- this was ok, although the jar was that big it expired before I got to even use 1/2 of it. When it expired I used it as a night cream.
Sunday Riley CEO afterglow cream- after I got past the weird smell of this cream I really liked it. I think it did make a difference in the appearence of my skin. I have just RP using my bd credit.
L'occitane verbena cooling hand cream gel- I didn't think I would like this but I did. Unfortunately it was a small tube and didn't last long. The cooling effect was soothing on my hands.
No7 eye cream- lasted forever. It was ok, not sure if it did anything, think I have another one in my stash.
Herbal esscences dazzling shine conditioner-this smelt amazing, did the job, would probably rp as dd liked it as well.
So? Unique peony blush body mist- liked this, lasted ages. It says on it to layer with other scents but I just used it alone. Near the end there was a bit of an alcohol smell, probably due to the fact that I had been using this for a long time.
Cerave sa smoothing cleanser 20ml- I didn't like this the first few times I used it as it made my skin feel dry but after that my skin felt ok. Might rp.

62/100 might meet my target this year.

I've finished a travel size Baylis and Harding Pink Lemonade shower gel, its nothing special but did the job. I've a few other travel sizes that are really old to use up at the moment.

paristotokyo · 17/07/2025 09:02

Sorry for the multiple posts but I’m trying to dispose/recycle things soon as they finish, so posting as I go along:
Laneige water bank moisturiser - like this a lot. Feels really light on the skin but it’s quite hydrating. Has a nice texture. I would rp but have others to use up first

I have a couple of empties to report:
Neutrogena deep moisture multipurpose comfort balm: blooming amazing!!! I used this on my face - makes a perfect night cream! And on body! LOVE this! Great value and cos of glycerin my skin LOVES it!
Roger & Gallet Rose fragrant well-being water: bought this cos someone said it smelled like Stella. It does not. Nice nonetheless, although no staying power.

Empties:

Elemis black Cherry cleansing balm - 20g. Glad this was only a mini. Hated the scent and I’m not convinced the balm itself is any better than several other, much cheaper products.

By Wishtrend green tea milky foaming wash - 140ml. I bought this because I heard it was a dupe for the Glow Recipe avocado cleanser but it’s not, this is a bit stripping. The pump also got gunked up after every use.

Dr Ceuracle kombucha essence - 150ml. Think this might be my favourite of all the toner/essence type products I’ve tried so far. Feels so lovely on the skin. Would repurchase if I didn’t have about ten other full size toners to get through first.

IT Cosmetics Beauty Sleep night cream - 7ml. Liked this, nice texture.

Perfume minis/samples - Tocca Simone, Floral Street Sweet Almond Blossom, 7 Virtues Coconut Sun, Givenchy Irresistible. All nice enough, but nothing full bottle worthy.

Head & Shoulders deep cleanse shampoo - 300ml. This was great, got my oily roots clean without drying out my scalp or hair. Thanks for the recommendation @Experiment627.

Lush Passion Fruit body scrub - 135g. Bit of a weird texture but it smelled amazing.

Lush Posh White Chocolate & Rose shower gel - 125g. This was the other way round - nice texture but weird scent.

Bath & Body Works Sunset Glow shower gel and body lotion - 295ml/236ml. Love these B&BW products. This was the last of their shower gels in the stash but must not buy more as have a LOT of other shower gels.

Noble Isle Rhubarb body lotion - 250ml. Lotion was a bit thin and feeble but smelled lovely.

L’Occitane dry skin hand cream - 30ml. Used mainly on my feet as super moisturising bit I didn’t like the scent.

Lush Sleepy body lotion - 95g. Love this as a bedtime hand cream.

@CorneliaStreet glad someone else doesn't like Elemis balm. I was beginning to think it was just me because loads of people love it.

I've not found as yet anything that dupes the GR avocado cleanser but I did just try a couple of sachets of the Youth to the People Kale, Green Tea and Spinach cleanser and quite liked that. It's not exactly the same but has that fresh, greenish vibe. I think I have a mini bottle of it too. However it's not any cheaper than GR and maybe slightly more expensive.

I love the scent of the L'Occitane hand cream but I find it a bit greasy. If I end up with any more I'll try it on my feet.

Can’t quite believe how few empties I have to report this month!

Skin & Me 10% azelaic acid mini serum: this was enough for two weeks of daily use but I didn’t see any noticeable difference in redness or blotches. Wouldn’t RP.

Dr Bronners peppermint bar soap: LOVED this, really creamy minty scent, like showering with a mint imperial. Have RPd one of the other scents in the range (eucalyptus)

Handmade Norfolk Soaps seaweed and tea tree: liked this, fresh and herbal. Would RP.

Taking things back to basics this month as my skin gets used to tret, will be reintroducing other actives once it’s settled down. Any recs for a good hydrating essence/toner from the K-beauty crowd?

MotherWol · 17/07/2025 19:57

Oops, forgot to add the photo! Also the Lidl L’Occitane dupe hand cream - this is a very good dupe, scent, texture and ingredients are very similar to the OG but less expensive. Would RP

The Kombucha toner that @CorneliaStreet mentioned above is one of the best.

Experiment627 · 17/07/2025 20:41

@CorneliaStreetI am so glad the shampoo worked out for you xxx

OP posts:
CorneliaStreet · 17/07/2025 21:41

@MotherWol Having finished the kombucha essence yesterday I used the Haruharu Wonder probiotics barrier essence for the first time this evening and it is definitely very hydrating. Like a milky toner but a bit heavier in consistency.

I also like the I’m From rice toner. Anything with rice in always seems really soothing and hydrating.

The Cosrx propolis toner is also great.

OvaHere · 17/07/2025 22:04

@CorneliaStreet @MotherWol I love the haruharu also but I've not really used it much since the weather got warm. It's perfect for colder months though.

paristotokyo · 18/07/2025 02:31

I agree with the I’m from rice toner, it’s especially great for sensitive skin. I’m currently using haruharu hyaluronic toner and it’s ok, doesn’t seem amazing but does the job. I’d also recommend the Laneige cerapeptide toner which is very hydrating and good for very dry skin. I would recommend the misting top though as it’s very thin and watery, so the mist helps with applying it. I’m very intrigued to try the kombucha essence recommended though as sounds amazing. I’ll be purchasing that one next!

wheresmyshoe · 20/07/2025 11:41

69/100

three really good products that I’m sorry to see the end of.
skinesis overnight facial is fantastic on
my skin, noticeable improvement after each use. Expensive so might have to be a full size treat at some point.
CEO afterglow, fab, rich and soothing. Another Sunday Riley hit for me
Real Chemistry cleanser, surprise win, not drying, very effective and a tiny bit goes a long way.

I’m on target for the year so have pre-ordered the Liberty calendar on BD credit. I didn’t have a beauty calendar last time as I didn’t think I’d hit my use up target. I’m already looking forward to it.

@MidnightMeltdown I adore the Tresemme Replenish & Cleanse shampoo! Great on my oily roots! Also adore the Tresemme lamellar shine range. It is so interesting how product results vary so much from one person to the next but I guess variety is the spice of life.

Welcome to the thread @olivelime !

I have oily roots too and bought this hoping it might help. I just didn’t get on with it though. My roots were the same and the rest of my hair felt weirdly dry and extra frizzy. Glad that it works for some though! Hair types and textures vary so much.
