A mask and single use sachet. Sorry no photo .

Allies of Skin Peptides & Antioxidants Advanced Firming Daily Treatment - In plain speak this seems like a moisturiser. Only a one use sachet but I'm quite impressed with it. Good for dry skin and feels similar to Tatcha Dewy Cream. AoS is expensive so will look out for this during AC season etc.

Aestura Ceramide Intense Sheet Mask - This was a freebie in a K Beauty order a while back. Expected it to be creamy but it was very wet. The smell was a bit weird. It did leave my skin feeling nice and soft but I wouldn't purchase as the Anua Ceramide masks are much nicer to use.

I have two empties to report:

  • Vaseline mature skin rejuvenation: this body lotion is clearly targeting perimenopausal and menopausal women. Really nice to use. Smell is ok and does not linger. Very moisturising but sinks in fast.
  • Nivea cream de mano miel: got this in Spain - not seen it over here. Bargain buy and is nice to use.

Used up a dr levy face mask. Didn’t like it so much. Glad it’s gone.

Boring use up. Listening mouthwash

I'm going to Spain later in the year. I'll look out for it.

@OvaHere don't get me wrong - it is not the best ever hand cream but given its price was good value. Enjoy Spain!

Thanks. I like a honey scent though so I'd probably enjoy just for that.

ememem84 · 03/06/2025 20:56

Used up a Mitchum deodorant this morning. Have another on the stash so onwards we move.

OvaHere · 04/06/2025 10:27

Finished off a full size Banila Co cleansing balm last night. Think I've been using this since about March but I've also used other balms and oils in that time. If I'd only used this I probably would have got through it in a couple of months or less.

I like this one a lot and it's fairly affordable. It doesn't irritate my skin or feel drying. I tend to use it as a first cleanse and it's good at removing make up and sunscreen. I have another one I received in a beauty box and some minis that were a gwp when I bought this one. I'm going to try a different one next as cleansers are my most stashed product and I've got a few to go at.

50/100

moss fragrance was lovely, it was in the Cult citrus edit

rituals bath/shower oil is always good, I have another to move straight onto. Has a lovely moisturising effect on the skin.

bramley body lotion - very pleased this has finished, I’ve used it up on my feet and legs. Fragrance depleted quickly and it takes ages to rub in.

@OvaHere Thanks for your review on the Banila balm, this is next in my stash to be tried. I am currently using the Skin Rocks one and it’s ok but wouldn’t repurchase.

LivingDeadGirlUK · 04/06/2025 19:52

I had a nice bath this evening, used a bath bomb from an M&S gift set, glad it was still all nice and fizzy as been 'saving' it for a few years.

Also finished a l'occitane verbena shower gel, I like this but it was the second full size I had so bit bored of it now.

ememem84 · 05/06/2025 06:39

Rare beauty primer used up. I did like this. But have so many others to use up first.

charlotte tillbery cleanser finished. didnt love it. won't rebuy.

Experiment627 · 06/06/2025 16:11

I have an empty to report:

  • Lanolips basic balm: handy to have a lipstick type balm but not the best I have ever used

ememem84 · 07/06/2025 10:21

Clarins body scrub 30ml finished. I did use the whole thing in the shower this morning. #indulgent but I am now super smooth!

BlueLimeRun · 07/06/2025 17:23

I’ve lost track but think probably at 40/80

Charlotte Mensah shdnpoo and conditioner- smelt lovely otherwise was average.
Aveda leave in treatment, not sure if any better than others. Might try another brand next.

End of the month empties report - more hits than misses this month!

Aussie miracle moist shampoo, conditioner and deep conditioner: love the smell of these, and they seem to work fine (although I found a photo of my hair for a couple of years ago and it's clear that the frizz is much worse now! Not sure what I'm doing wrong?)

Lush banana shampoo: smells lovely, but has weird chunks of rock salt in it. Wouldn't RP.

Norfolk alchemist soap: love this, all woody and piney. Will RP.

Geek & Gorgeous A-Game 10: this retinal didn't irritate my skin, and it's consistently looking glowy these days. Would consider RP but have a Skin & Me trial next so will see how tret agrees with my skin.

Sali Hughes Must C serum: of all the high street vitamin c serums I've tried, I think this is my favourite, it's got a nice light gel texture, it's not sticky or irritating, and leaves my skin glowing.

Origins ginzing SPF30 moisturiser: I liked this more than I expected to, although all Origins products are fairly strongly fragranced, which isn't my preference.

Geek & Gorgeous happier barrier: my HG moisturiser, so mild and gentle and rich. Have another one in the stash.

Starting Skin and Me this month, so will be taking my routine back to basics, no other actives besides tret while my skin gets used to it. A bit nervous about the purging/peeling/dryness I've read about, but I like the thought of a really minimalist routine and tackling my bumpy skin texture. Any tret tips for a newbie?

LivingDeadGirlUK · 07/06/2025 19:22

I've been using skin+me for around a year, I had the purging, month 2 was the worst. I actually think it was the Niacinamide as I recall me not having a great reaction to that when I tried an Ordinary one a while back. It took 3 months to settle down but now my skin is amazing, the best its ever been.

OvaHere · 07/06/2025 19:34

@MotherWol I used Aussie for years but had to give it up and start searching for a new one last year. Either they've changed it or it's peri menopause related. I suspect it's the latter because my hair just isn't what it used to be (like the rest of me!).

Empties:

Eve Lom foaming cream cleanser - 120ml. Wasn’t keen on the scent, but other than that it was a great cleanser. Really rich and creamy feeling, but washed off easily without stripping my skin at all.

Murad oat & peptide cleanser - 15ml. Another great cleanser. Have been through a full size before.

Mario Badescu aloe, herbs & rosewater facial spray - 118ml. Didn’t expect to like this as it’s a face spray and it’s Mario Badescu, but I actually really enjoyed using it.

Purito Daily Soft Touch sunscreen - 60ml. Not bad but not my favourite Korean sunscreen. It was quite moisturising for my skin type and if I’m going for that, I’d rather use the Beauty of Joseon original rice relief as that one feels nicer on the skin.

Mixsoon centella sunscreen - 5ml. Liked this. Very lightweight and non-greasy.

Byoma Liptide lip mask - too thick and claggy. Nowhere near as good as the Laneige lip mask.

Percy & Reed smoothing blow dry cream - 100ml. Liked this. Quite lightweight and sorted out the flyaways without making my hair straggly.

Bath & Body Works Pink Pineapple Sunrise - 295ml. The B&BW shower gel formula is great and this is my favourite scent from them.

Lush Heavenly Bodies body wash - 85g. From the chocolate themed April subscription box. Not horrible but a bit odd. It looked like Nutella and smelled like Terry’s Chocolate Orange, so all in all a bit of a strange thing to wash oneself with!

Hempz Sweet Pineapple & Honey Melon body lotion - 66ml. Didn’t like the scent and the lotion itself was simultaneously too thin to moisture properly but too thick to get out of the bottle.

Rimmel face powder - no idea which specific powder it is as the packaging is trashed. Nothing amazing but it cost £3 and lasted about a year of daily use, so can’t really complain.

Forgot the Tree Hut body scrub. It was the Desert Haze scent. Smelled lovely and I really like the Tree Hut scrubs, they’re properly scrubby.

wheresmyshoe · 08/06/2025 10:33

56/100

REN evercalm global protection day cream. Love this product, very disappointing REN is being discontinued.

Sarah Chapman Skinesis intense hydrating booster, this is a gorgeous serum. I’ve lived using it in combination with the REN for calm soothed skin.

Prai wrinkle repair night cream it’s lovely and rich but I’m not sure it’s very effective beyond an initial plumping. Not a repurchase.

omorovicza cleansing foam, this fine, does the job but much like every other Omorovicza product I’ve tried it’s unexceptional.

Oribe supershine shampoo and conditioner samples. Gorgeous! My hair feel feels wonderful. It so expensive but maybe a treat in a sale if I can stick to my greatly reduced buying.

OvaHere · 08/06/2025 11:26

@wheresmyshoe I used one of those Oribe sachets on a weekend away. Was also really impressed with it.

wheresmyshoe · 08/06/2025 11:29

I almost wish they weren’t quite so gorgeous @OvaHeretop tier products.

wheresmyshoe · 08/06/2025 12:42

61/100 because I’m going through the stash and these are products too old to pass on to friends as they’ve been in resentful use or where it wouldn’t be hygienic to do so. A lesson to me not to hang on to stuff that doesn’t suit me.

nip + fab sugared almond lip butter - hopeless and a weird orange tint.

trinny lip to cheek in pia - doesn’t even begin to compare to products like westman atelier. I’d try other trinny products but this doesn’t blend on my lips or skin.

FC powder blush - been hanging about for 25 years

olaplex shampoo and conditioner- hanging about since I thought it was actually giving me sores on my scalp

Amika soul food leave in conditioner- I’ve forced my way through two thirds of this and still think it’s useless on my hair
