Palmers cocoa butter lotion used up. Full size. I LOVE this stuff. Rich and creamy. Smells divine and makes my skin soft soft soft. I have started a huge bottle of aveeno moisturiser though as have a gazillion moisturisers to use up.

Clarins mini body scrub. Used the entire 15/30ml in the shower today. Proper scrubby shower. Have a full size somewhere but also have another mini lurking about.

ememem84 · 25/05/2025 10:51

And a mini Clarins hand cream. Done.

ememem84 · 25/05/2025 10:53

When I went to the office the other day I found a tube of l’occitaine hand cream in my drawer. Opened and untouched for 9 months. Do I bin. Or use?

SwordBilledHummingbird · 25/05/2025 10:55

@ememem84 It'll be fine. I have hand creams on the go that I've had for years!

Experiment627 · 25/05/2025 10:56

Yay @ememem84that is great news!
Maybe give the hand cream a go but then chuck if your hands fall off after use?

🤣

also used up a hand soap this morning. Smelled like really sweet sweets. From Disney. Did a paw print foam shape when you pressed it.

ememem84 · 25/05/2025 12:38

also in desk drawer (not cosmetics) was a box of cups soup. Debated binning this. But seeing as it’s mostly salt and salt is a preservative I figured it’s probably preserved itself!

Experiment627 · 25/05/2025 12:54

@ememem84 go for it! Just notice if you get any kind of reaction and desist use if you need to?

I have a couple of empties:

  • Skin & Me "specially made for me" tretinoin 0.006% + niacinamide 4% + azelaic acid 4%: quite drying for me, dispenser not giving quite enough to include neck area.
  • Colgate travel size Max White Optic: teeth no whiter and too minty for me

Used up the other x 2 one use Clarins Double Serum samples.

Still not sure what I think of it so might just have to try a bottle at some point to use a bit more consistently.

paristotokyo · 25/05/2025 16:43

I’ve been travelling since last month so have used up a few bits but no photos.
KS goat milk cleanser, travel size - a favourite, have another travel and full size
Molton Brown rose & rhubarb shower gel travel size - loved this fragrance, not usually a huge fan of rose but this was nice
Cerave hydrating body lotion this stuff is great. No frills but really good at making my very dry skin smooth. Sometimes I just prefer something nicer smelling as this is fragrance free and doesn’t feel like a treat but have rp
Skin1004 waterfit SPF a staple of mine. Lightweight, sits perfectly under make up, hydrating, it’s amazing. Have beauty of joseon (another staple) ready to move on to

wheresmyshoe · 25/05/2025 18:09

45/100

not pictured are five more mixed brand under eye patches, I find them all pretty similar in a good way, they work!

hourglass bronze eyeliner, already repurchased, great product and doesn’t smudge.

first aid beauty intensive cream, good product.

Some more

K18 bonding treatment deluxe size - this is expensive but I really like it. My hair has been a bit of mess recently and I think this is helping. I bought a full size in the Sephora sale a while back. One that's worth looking out for in beauty boxes.

Grow Gorgeous Intense hair serum - I got two of these in either calendars or boxes. I'll use the other one just because but I don't feel it does much for hair loss.

Anua Heartleaf Ceramides Cream Night mask - I did a review of this further back in the thread. Really like it a lot, very calming and moisturising when my skin flares. I got this box of 10 either as a GWP or in a StyleKorean box.

Anua is becoming hard to purchase on some of the Kbeauty sites to the UK. I think it's gone from Stylevana and Yesstyle. I read this is due to Anua doing a UK deal with one or more of the UK beauty sites. I think we are going to start seeing this more and more due to the explosion of popularity. They will do exclusive deals and we will end up having to pay western prices on Sephora etc.

I don't blame the brands, with the US tariff situation they will be looking for deals in other countries but if you have firm favourites might be worth stocking up at a lower price whilst you can.

I managed to find some of the Anua masks still in stock on Olive Young so bought a couple of boxes whilst they had a sale on.

I've finished a full size Benefit Roller lash, really really like this. I've got the elf rip off to try but if thats no good I will repurchase.

More empties:

Glow Hub Nourish & Hydrate toner essence - 60ml. Wasn’t keen on this, didn’t like the slight oily finish and fake peachy scent.

Flanerie Lily Bloom Hyaluronic serum - 30ml. Fine, nothing amazing but a nice enough hydrating serum.

Sunday Riley CEO Vitamin C serum - 8ml. Worked much better for me than the moisturiser from this line. Really good, but the Dermalogica Vitamin C serum is still my favourite.

Dr. Levy Intense Stem Cell serum - 7ml. One of those serums where the full size is so expensive that even the samples are technically worth £50 or something, yet they give them away pretty much for free in beauty boxes. It was actually a lovely serum, really soothing and hydrating, but I’d never buy a full size.

Skin Gym Eye Fit eye serum - 30g. Really liked this. It’s a thick gel which stays put and is hydrating without being greasy, so good under eye make up.

Avant Collagen Hydro-Surge overnight mask - 30ml. Quite thick and moisturising, but wasn’t too greasy and was really good whenever my skin was a bit dry over the winter.

Ouai Fine to Medium hair treatment mask - 30ml. Smelled lovely and left my hair felling really soft.

Lush English Countryside shower gel - 280g. Scent was very green and grassy, not something I’d normally go for but actually really liked it.

Tree Hut coconut and lime shave oil - 227ml. No better than just using shower gel.

Organic Shop mango body mousse - 250ml. Too thick and took a while to sink in. Organic Shop products are annoyingly inconsistent. I didn’t like this one but I’m now using the coconut one, also called a body mousse, and the formula of that is perfect.

Shay & Blue Rhubarb & Sandalwood perfume - 10ml. Love this, got the sample and then immediately ordered a big bottle. Love rhubarb perfumes and this is as good or better than the Hermes one, and quite a bit cheaper.

I'm not keen on this Elf Roll and curl mascara its nowhere near as nice as the Benefit Rollerlash, will try for the rest of the week to see if I can get on with it.

LivingDeadGirlUK · 28/05/2025 20:35

An unexpected 'empty' my Maybelline Vinal ink in Coy has gone the same way as the last one, absolutely no pigment now was probably about 18 months old. So I've chucked it. I do really like the formula, so would buy again but maybe when I've whittled down the lipsticks at bit more so it get used more often.

OvaHere · 28/05/2025 23:12

One empty

Glow Recipe Pomegranate Peptide Serum - I liked this. It's nice to use and non irritating. Like the previous Avocado serum I used up I don't like the bottle, the fancy shapes look cute but are a pain to pump out once the volume of product gets low. I would use again but there are better serums at this price point.

Another empty.

Sunday Riley CEO Vitamin C sample size - Like this. It doesn't irritate. I have a larger size of it but took the mini on a trip recently so wanted to finish it up. I'm using a full size Summer Fridays at the moment which I think I slightly prefer but there's not much in it. They are fairly interchangeable IMO.

I had a big clear out of the bathroom and gave away a load of stuff including 4 shampoos, a conditioner and a mouthwash because we just weren't going to use them. It's great to get the space back.

OvaHere · 30/05/2025 23:00

On a bit of a roll at the moment finishing off bits and pieces.

Laneige Cream Skin Mini - Disappointed in this considering it gets raved about a fair bit. Didn't find it particularly moisturising or hydrating. Dr Ceuracle Kombucha, Mary & May Blackberry and even Tirtir Milk toner are all a lot better IMO. Wouldn't RP and glad I only got a mini to try.

Omorovicza Cleaning Foam travel size - This came in one of the recent Liberty Beauty Drop boxes. It's actually pretty good for a foaming cleanser, not drying or stripping as I usually find them. I would happily use this again but full price I think it's too expensive for a cleanser. If I can pick them up on Vinted or elsewhere at a good discount then I would RP.

Shiseido Fino Hair Mask (not pictured because I forgot) - Thought it was okay but didn't wow me so won't RP. I found it to be no better than an average conditioner in terms of soft/silkiness. I've got a Tsubaki one to try next so maybe that will suit my hair better.

Caudalie body lotion - I generally prefer a cream but this was really nice and nourishing.

Beauty of Joseon Dynasty cream - fab. Would rp

Jumiso snail mucin - fine.

Seaweed oil. This was lovely. Would rp

Has anyone else discovered the compacted dry paper face masks? I bought some the other week to DIY masks out of serums and toners that aren't my favourites but need to use up. Not tried one yet but thought it might be a good way of finishing up stuff that hangs around for a while.

MrsBnow12 · 31/05/2025 15:57

@OvaHere I have these, my beautician recommended them to me as what she uses for facials, she said to use your serum to hydrate them or just a drop or two of water and then serum.

They're a great idea. Can't believe I only just discovered their existence.

MediK8 Hyaluronic Serum - This is a slight cheat empty as I will confess to pouring the last 2-3ml down the sink. I've had this on the go since December but I just don't find it hydrates me that well. I've tried it on both dry and damp skin and layering it. I usually love MediK8 products but not this one. I've swapped it out for the Glow Recipe one which I like a lot better.
