It’s crazy how easily we can be swayed by a discount or gwp, isn’t it? I wasn’t interested in CB at all when I saw the unboxing, but add a free gift and I was ready to part with over £200 to buy it today! 😐 I am kind of relieved that it sold out and the temptation was taken away

For £200 I think that Sephora is much better than CB, even with the free gift.

I'm surprised that CB sold out so quickly this year. Maybe they ship internationally, whereas Sephora don't. I noticed that the US YouTubers got their hands on Selfridges, which probably explains why that sold out quickly, despite not being the strongest.

Yes, I heard that the UK are leading the way in these advent calendars and US department stores have not caught up yet.

I think the Harrods one may have shipped to the states too.

Thanks. I don't know when they listed it but it hasn't sold out yet unlike the other boxes which sold out in about 5 seconds flat. My money's they'll be gone by the morning.

Agree. The Dermalogica Age Smart eye cream costs more than the entire box combined. Some great brands in there.

Looks lovely @virgocatlover but I have now definitely surpassed peak purchasing of beauty products time for this year. My last huzah was to add the Fortnum and Mason advent to my collection and that tipped me over. I’m so relieved! I can finally relax and start looking forward to opening and using. I love the thrill of the chase but doubt I will be swayed again this year.

I've now had time this evening to process the fact I bought the CB advent with discount and GWP this morning! Have to admit if it was free returns I'd send it back and still think SpaceNK (which I have) is this year's best advent.
I think CB is good value for the products I'll enjoy and want to try but overall just not very exciting. I'm going to open and use it straight away rather than save until December.

Also, I know I will want the Elemis QVC deal next week and then I need to pray for some common sense and restraint!

This was me at the weekend with the Just My Look calendar and goodie bag. I dithered and the bag had gone so decided not to buy.

Oh dear, I have just ordered a JL box that I didn’t need. Guess it is cheaper than the CB advent I nearly ordered this morning!

But we have saved money today… sort of. And I think that deserves another treat 😂

Space NK fragrance AC now sold out... I have gone for the JL skincare box to make me feel better haha.

I do need some product tho – am almost totally out of moisturiser!

I've picked up the JL box too. I've only bought the Space NK fragrance calendar so far for myself and ASOS for the Dds. This has lots in that I'll use, and I may use it to alternate with the perfume to make a 24 day advent.

If it's still there tomorrow morning, I'll buy.

The JL skincare box looks great but I’ve already got Liberty & Space NK & products left from last year, so I’m going to refrain. I took the Sunday Reily Good Genes out of Liberty Calendar to try after reading about it here and it is one of the best products I’ve tried. I already repurchased with the Space NK 20% discount code I loved it that much 🙂

Yes it does. I think that contributed to the quick sell out, as Harrods has been around a lot longer in previous years with similar contents.

Going by YouTube comments, I don't think that Sephora and F&M ship to the US, which is probably why they've stuck around for longer.

US calendars are really poor compared to ours.

I'm not going to look at the JL skincare box in case I decide that I need it (I definitely don't!)

@IlovePond omg I hadn’t seen anything about talc and am gutted to see that 2 of my stalwarts/ bobbi brown bronzer and urban decay eyeshadow contain it🙁. Really shocking and now, like you, binning those products and on the lookout for non talc ones. If anyone has any suggestions for a great eyeshadow set and or bronzer I’d be really grateful! Thanks

Those crackers are adorable. I’ve gone for the lip one and justifying it as a decoration, not a beauty buy.
