I still only have the Harrods advent which is on display in my dining room. I have been very good and not dived into any of the boxes yet.
I am kind of relieved that so many are selling out as I am easily swayed by a bargain!

I've been looking for an advent calendar for my elderly mother, something to maybe spark a little joy or fun each morning. I've just seen in the last thread there's a Bonne Maman calendar so that's definitely a contender....any other recommendations please for folks in their late 70s?

It might not be everyone's cup of tea but I appreciate these threads as I genuinely have no-one IRL who shares this passion.

@Cantdecidewhere M&S? What does she like? You can get calendars with cheese, wine, gin, tea... All sorts.

☺️. My HN fragrance calendar is out for delivery. I'm amazed by their quick service and don't feel as miffed at being charged postage now. I keep thinking I'm done now but I'm very tempted by the Korres calendar and keep going back for another look at it.

I have bought myself the Cath Kidston, which is not too expensive and has hand creams and lip balms and what not rather than make up etc.

I get DM the Hotel Chocolat dark chocolate one. I would hesitate to get her skincare, apart from hand cream, because she has had quite sensitive skin in the past few years and can only use a limited range of products.

Hi all, have been inspired by these threads to buy my first ever beauty calendar. I got the Elemis one as I love their stuff.

Does anyone know if every calendar has the same product in the same drawer? The reason I ask is because I am going away next week and need to take a small tube of face moisturiser. I don't have any but I bet there's one or two in the calendar.

If they're all the same; does anyone know which number a daily face moisturiser is in please?

And also is there any shampoo in it?

@LastTimeLosingIt the website will tell you the contents so you know if there is any shampoo in it.

The drawers should be identically filled in every calendar. But as the whole point is that it's a daily surprise I doubt anyone here who has it will know which drawers have the moisturizers. You will just have to rummage and then try to forget what you found between now and December.

Harvey Nicks Fragrance calendar is already sold out. And I’ve seen on social media that some orders placed late yesterday have now been cancelled - not sure why the retailers aren’t able to manage their stock sold better!

Space NK fragrance still available. They must be kicking themselves about the delay, HN have taken some of their market.

Looking at the Elemis website, there's no shampoo (it is described as a skincare calendar)

Also looking at the website, I would consider trying drawer 25, but it might be that products are pictured by drawers for artistic purposes rather than reality!

@LastTimeLosingIt Could you ask someone else to rummage through your drawers, so to speak?

I had a skim through a YT unboxing. They should be in the same order. If so...

Day 2 - night cream

Day 17 - another night cream

Day 22 - day cream (matches day 17)

Day 23 -day cream

Day 25 - day cream (matches day 2)

If you're going on holiday I would take either days 17 & 22 or days 2 & 23.

Day 25 is the star gift and not as travel friendly.

There is no shampoo.

My JL calendar is out for delivery which is good considering I ordered yesterday. Very pleased I managed to get this

I'm looking forward to the OK one, watched the unboxing and there were a few things i already use and/or wanted to try. The rest looks like decent quality - looks like a nice mixture of skincare & makeup.

Wondering whether to get one for my dad's partner. She likes beauty & there's some good brands in there.

I'm glad there's minimal hair stuff, only a gloss spray. I have something similar anyway so will be a nice replacement when it runs out.

My HN fragrance has just arrived. My husband has checked it for me, so it's going upstairs now until xmas day.

I'm very surprised that with so many calendars selling out so quickly this year, Liberty is still available. I wonder if they produce their calendar in much greater quantities than the others.
