I think there was one a few months/weeks back but can't find it, so apologies if doubling up.
What perfume are you wearing today?
I will wear Atelier Cologne Trefle Pur in hope it will actually be warm today.

Vyrao free 00 today. Not my usual type of scent as I don't particularly like white florals but I really like the citrus opening on this and then it settles down into a more creamy musky type of skin scent. It's a hot weather scent imo but was in the mood for something different today and the suns out at least :)

MiaN · 02/12/2024 11:32

I ordered few 10mls from Niche Beauty with 25% Goldfield and Banks and Ouai. I love Ingenious Ginger for warmer weather and I want to try Bohemian Lime and Pacific Rock Moss and Ouai North Bondi

Not to my nose, to me they are not alike at all. Gris Charnel smells like spicy slightly sweet milky tea. Mamajuju smells like wet soil, they descibe it as "smell the earth soaked by rain" on thier website and that's what I am smelling. The clay takes over to my nose at least and I didn't like it as perfume. I can appreciate smelling it for grounding effect but not wearing it myself. I will give it another try to see if my option changes

Happy you like both, Varyo are unique and maybe little polarising scents.

Edited

Spicy slightly sweet milky tea is exactly it! Glad I like it as it was a bit of a blind buy (got the 10ml size which was £25 on ebay). Vyrao scents are nice but I find them a bit much to wear all the time, like eating too much ice cream or something. A little bit now and then is fine though! And I like the concept with the affirmations and healing aspect (a little cheesy, but that's ok)

Mackemlass79 · 02/12/2024 13:17

Had a migraine yesterday so no perfume went for something lighter today so gone for good old ghost in original blue bottle not over powering just light and fresh while my head and nausea sort themselves out

hughiedoesntfight · 02/12/2024 13:34

YSL live intense today.

It’s ok. Not a huge fan, but I am trying to through my perfumes that I had had for a while and use the last bits. I think I have 3 or 4 more days use out this.

I have silly amounts of perfumes on their way so need to make room.

hughiedoesntfight · 02/12/2024 14:32

Iibre not live lol

MiaN · 02/12/2024 18:43

We now exactly what you meant :)

Really enjoyed Lira today, another winter favourite. It took me awhile to warm up ot it, not love with first sniff.

Howmanyroses · 02/12/2024 20:31

PDM Delina today - I am really loving it. The first time it was too sweet, now I can detect rhubarb, lychee and rose and the dry down is just like boiled rhubarb and custard sweets yum! This one is really growing on me

paristotokyo · 02/12/2024 22:07

Evening scent is tiger by her side Sana Jardin. I'd forgotten about this and remembered how much I like it. Spicy amber scent with some cinnamon and a hint of vanilla. Lovely!

paristotokyo · 02/12/2024 22:20

If anyone's interested in Sana Jardin, they've got their discovery set down to £24 with 30% off and code CM10 will take another 10% off. Discovery set comes with a £35 voucher redeemable against a full sized bottled.

happytobemrsg · 02/12/2024 23:06

Thought I’d give you an update as you helped me yesterday. I went shopping today with my mum & I really enjoyed trying different scents. I ended up buying Halfeti. I absolutely love it 🥰 they sprayed it on me at the beginning of the day & I spent the rest of the day sniffing my wrist. I loved how it changed throughout the day (& I can still smell it now 11 hours later!!!). My mum bought it too and got a free bottle of Castile so she’s happy 😊

MiaN · 03/12/2024 05:42

@happytobemrsg I love it when I find a perfume I enjoy so much

Ginger Biscuit is the most seasonal perfume I own and I know I won't be on mood for it after Christmas and I am trying to make most of it before.

I am ready for no perfume spend for few months, and my fresh start of no more 4 full bottles for the year. And full being over 50 euro and/or over 30 ml. Let's see how it goes! I need to stop entering myself with sniffing trips to the shops and enjoy what I have!

IDontHateRainbows · 03/12/2024 06:10

Gosh you must have sone early starts @MiaN !
Evening scent last night was. Tobacco Veloute from the recent space nk scent kit. Much sweeter than I expected and not as smokey. Still nice tho

Today, not yet decided but important meeting with lots of people this afternoon so nothing too strong or lasting. Recently rediscovered Udaipur by Etro languishing in my drawer so maybe that.

IDontHateRainbows · 03/12/2024 06:12

Realsed I have never, ever in my life actually finished a 50ml bottle so unless a scent is very special I usually find 10ml sizes work best for me. I've occasionally repurchased 10ml sizes if the scent is particularly lovely.

MiaN · 03/12/2024 06:16

I do, I am up at 5 am daily. I start and finish work early so I am used to it.

What I like about Ginger Biscuit that is is gingery & cinnamon, vanilla & nutty but the sweetness is not full on cookie and it doesn't make me crave sweets all day :). It lasts better then other Jo Malone too, similar to others in the range in darker bottles.

MiaN · 03/12/2024 06:45

I am in my 40s and I have used up and repurchased at least 3 times each Jadore Dior, Alien Mugler and Midnight Rain La Praire. I recall repurchasing Gurlain Mandarin Basil at least once and Prada Amber once too. Basically that's all in my 30's with few unsuccessful purchases that I quickly passed on and few I got as presents. In my early 20s I was broke a lot and used up everything without repurchasing.

MiaN · 03/12/2024 06:46

That's actually good question for three chat, what are the rest of the group memories of finishing or repurchasing perfumes in the past?

CorneliaStreet · 03/12/2024 07:10

I used to be a same scent every day person, so I have used up multiple bottles of (showing my age here) Dior Dune, Ralph Lauren Romance, L’Eau D’Issey and Marc Jacobs Daisy or its various flankers. A few years ago I went a bit crazy buying sample sets and now own lots of different full and travel sizes and rarely wear the same thing two days in a row.

CorneliaStreet · 03/12/2024 07:14

I do still occasionally finish up a bottle though, usually the 30ml ones. I finished Mon Guerlain last year and got a replacement and I recently finished Replica Coffee Break. Might repurchase that one - the longevity is terrible but I absolutely love the way it smells.

Lurkingshark · 03/12/2024 07:31

I woreXS pour Elle and Stella all through the 2000s then switched to YSL cinema ( quite different) and the odd random presents in the 2010s ( eternity and the DKNY delicious ones which are too fruity for me). Then a friend took me around Diptyque and Miller Harris in liberty…

spikeandbuffy · 03/12/2024 07:55

My heavily worn ones were
Gucci rush
DKNY woman
Versace woman

I still wear the last two sometimes
I sprayed Versace woman a while ago and a friend from uni said "oh you smell just like you!"
think then I discovered 4160 Tuesdays and just branched out from there

MiaN · 03/12/2024 08:00

I think I discovered Santal 33 and Givenchy l'interdit around 2020 or 2021 and used those two mainly for few years as intro back to being interested in perfume. What really for me into fragrance is SpaceNK fragrance advent 2023 and VB Portofiono same year.

AprilLady · 03/12/2024 08:23

I wore First, by von Cleef and Arpel, J’Adore and Estée Lauder Pleasures a lot when younger. Then I stopped wearing anything regularly for quite a long time before getting back into perfumes a few years ago.

I now like to wear something different every day. I have finished a few 10mls, but the bigger bottles I have less than half left in are:

Chanel Coromandel
Diptyque Philosykos
Diptyque Eau Rose
MFK Gentle Fluidity Gold
Nishane Ani
PDM Delina Le Rosee
Guerlain Mitsouko
Le Labo The Noir

For the ones which are very low, I’ve already bought replacements so I don’t need to worry about running out 😬

IDontHateRainbows · 03/12/2024 08:34

Gris Charnel for me today - not too overpowering for the office but with a bit of a something to it!

IDontHateRainbows · 03/12/2024 08:35

The big bottles I've ever bought (but not finished)
Malin and Goetz dark rum
Floral Street Ylang Ylang Espresso (don't see much mention of FS on here - this is the best one IMO)
YSL Libre
Marc Jacobs Honey
Marc Jacobs Daisy Wild
Byredo Mumbai Noise
