What perfume are you wearing today?
I will wear Atelier Cologne Trefle Pur in hope it will actually be warm today.

Back on the mumbai noise today.. using it very sparingly to avoid nose blindness.

Ordered another liberty scent kit. I sold about 2/ 3 of the contents last time, including the perfumer H and the vanilla powder. Thinking now to keep those and sell the others.

@happytobemrsg I got a Diptyque EdT discovery set last Christmas that I've enjoyed using over the year. It's got decent size samples so you really get to enjoy them. I think Jo Malone does a discovery set too. Also for next year, the perfume advent calendars are a good way to try a variety of different brands. I think Liberty's scent kit is still available too which has quite a few things in.

@hughiedoesntfight that's really funny. Mine haven't got into stealing my perfume - they're just obsessed with SDJ body spray at the moment so I think I'm safe. Slightly concerned about the Glossier You in the Space NK advent though.

@MiaN I really don't get a pickle smell from Santal 33! It's one of my winter go tos... I'm now paranoid I've been smelling like a Scandi gherkin factory.

Ah don't. I get hint of it but I still think it's cool. I got rid of all winter perfums I don't like and I kept it, and I have few backups so it has not stopped me using it. I didn't come with that by the way, I hear & read the comment often

Monrong, angels share for me today well a ppl dupe oil roll on its so lovely not sure how close it is to the original so may have to look for a sample of the original on eBay or somewhere

I'm very intrigued by Vanilla Powder, but can't sample it anywhere... what do you think of it?

Corsica Furiosa Parfum D'Empire - Bang and the scent is gone! Luckily this was just a free sample with purchase. It only lasted an hour on my skin and I couldn't really identify many of the notes. I would be annoyed if I'd bought it as a full bottle.

This is a question for those of you who buy sample kits/discovery boxes and then sell on something you don't like. Where do you sell this perfume and do you list it as used, sprayed once?

I don't know as I sold the previous one. The big samples from the liberty kit will be on ebay though

I sell via eBay, and yes. I'll list if I've tried it, eg sprayed once or twice, but whenever the vials are clear I'll actually also take a photo showing the liquid level in it. Maybe a step too much, idk, but I've never had an issue.

I sold them in Facebook groups but don't bother with the small samples. 10ml or more usually

Speaking of discovery sets spacenk have a decent offer today.

Any recommendations from there? I’m not interested in phlur or malin.

Generally I will list them on ebay as new, if untested . As sprayed once if tested.
I've also sold, eg , half bottles think if it's spray it's OK as no skin contact but wouldn't do this with dab ons.

Space NK - I wasn't too important by Sana Jardin sample set. Aespop have more really fantastic home candle than perfume vibe scent too my nose.

Ellis Brooklyn I like few such as Myth, Florist and Maiami Nectar. Floral Street Arizona Bloom an Sunflower Pop. Juliette Has a Gun had few I enjoyed but nothing turned to travel size or full bottle. I am enjoying Replica set a lot more then I thought I would. DS Durga I think the sample set is too expensive for 6 samples. Diptyque looks good but I have but had it

After reading all your suggestions, I ordered some samples on line. Angels Share seemed to be very popular so I ordered a 3 ml size. Ugh.. not for me, smells very old fashioned. Loving the other 3-Portrait of a Lady, Gucci Oud and Narcisco Rodriguez Pure Muse.

Are you not worried when ordering samples that are decants from ebay or groups you may end up trying fakes or dupes?

I don't think Angel's Share its old fashionable at all to me but we all have different view. I find all chypre perfumes/rose patchouli combos that are very nostalgic vibe myself, such as Portrait of Lady. I wouldn't call it old fashioned, everything goes with fragrance if you like it but to me that type have classic vibe. Not in bad way, classic but strong it is part of it's charm.

Angel Share is cinnamon/apple pie/boozy scent, I have never smelled anything along those lines in the 90's or 00s and even 10's. While it is not news in 2024 to my knowledge scents with that type of profiles were not common over 10/15 years ago. I overdosed on it last year and no longer want to smell like it, but I do use leftover dupe as room spray and I enjoy giving it a sniff when in store or on others and I kept few samples that I got from other orders/sample sets in case I feel like it.

Vyrao Mamajuju is so strange. I guess it fits with the brand - they aren't after blind buy/safe and mass appealing scents. I don't like the initial spray, but I keep sniffing it - they are very interesting. Do I want to smell like it - no, but would I spray a little for a grounding effect and enjoy smelling it for few moments - yes. On the notes it states smell the earth, soaked by rain and I get that.

Replica Under the Stars - oudy, not too interested in this but it's ok.
Thameen Carved Oud - I may give this sample my husband, I only test a drop on my hand and I think it's lovely. I may even end up giving it a day test! The oud feels smooth and clean it doesn't take over.

Scent of the day will be Tocca Colette. It's not that cold out, I need something fresher today.

I do not know why is my phone changing not to but every time I type! I have NOT had the diptyque set. My phone autocorrect/predictive text is messing around with my not.

I ordered from Fragrance Samples UK which as far as I know, is authentic. It's a great way to try some of these amazing fragrances.

I really wanted to like Angels Share, maybe it just doesn't suit me but I honestly couldn't wait to wash it off!

I have ordered from fragrance samples UK before they were great. And I went on to buy full size from other places and they were identical.

I was recommended them by someone who is very into perfume and has been for years.

Alternatively places like Jovoy do samples, though their selection is much smaller. I have my next full size from them picked out with a couple of samples. Though it’s likely to be after Christmas when I order.

I have just used my beauty drop vouchers. I got the liberty perfume kit and a full size Fugazzi Angel dust extrait. So looking forward to those arriving.
