I think there was one a few months/weeks back but can't find it, so apologies if doubling up.
What perfume are you wearing today?
I will wear Atelier Cologne Trefle Pur in hope it will actually be warm today.

Mitsouko -

RabbitsRock · 11/11/2024 19:50

I decided the other day not to keep my more expensive perfumes for “ best” & I wore Obsession to work. Always loved that scent.

QueefofSheena · 11/11/2024 19:50

I’ve been wearing FS Vanilla Orchid the past few days. It’s not too ‘in your face’ and I’ve got a few 10ml bottles dotted around, including one in the car so it’s easy to have a quick spray

MiaN · 11/11/2024 19:57

Just for fun, before getting into fragrance - what perfumes you love and repurchased most?

Me Dior J'adore, Alien - day and night, and special occasions La Prairie Midnight Rain. I have had others that I bought more then once but those I bought at lest 3 times each, if not more. I made myself little scent memory box and put my J'adore and Alien there, but unfortunately Midnight Rain is no longer available.

I used to buy the CK one summer edition every year
And DKNY woman, the one in the tall bottle, I still wear that. My friend says it smells like me Grin
Also still wear Versace woman

paristotokyo · 11/11/2024 20:16

SJP lovely, Alien and Versace woman for me also. The latter two I wouldn't wear now but I'm intrigued to try lovely again just for the nostalgia.

IDontHateRainbows · 11/11/2024 20:37

I wasn't that much into fragrance but I did buy a couple of the Liz Earle fragrances, and YSL libre. And I remember getting into Marc Jacobs Honey for a while.

QueefofSheena · 11/11/2024 22:31

I can’t believe some of the things I used to wear! I’m old so I went through the original Poison stage then Giorgio Beverley Hills, really strong stuff. I’ve consistently loved No19 and Cristalle though and more recently repurchased Molecule 01 several times and Versace Bright Crystal as it’s an easy wear.

TheLongRider · 11/11/2024 23:53

My first perfumes were Coco Mademoiselle, Jo Malone Nutmeg& Ginger ( the 1990's version) Paco Rabanne XS
(1996-2000), Hugo Deep Red and Trish McEvoy Blackberry and Vanilla.

Lurkingshark · 12/11/2024 06:25

My originals were Angel by Mugler, Stella by Stella McCartney, XS pour Elle by Paco Rabanne (as well, I remember it being discontinued) and more latterly Cinema by YSL and then Jo Malone blackberry and bay. I think at some point about 20 years ago someone brought me that miniatures set which was everywhere- Paloma Picasso, Lou Lou and Anais Anais, plus a few other I forget. I can visualise that on my desk but only smell Anais.

But today, Rose en Noir by Miller Harris

MiaN · 12/11/2024 06:36

I am not sure which way to go today, working from home and but plan workout in the morning so I may start with Pomelo Jo Malone from previous year advent. Probably go something more season appropriate after.

What a lovely dilemma!

I'm in the office today. I may go for find comfort as it's new. I like the idea of lotion then spray, have heard perfume works better on moisturised skin too.

IDontHateRainbows · 12/11/2024 06:53

Definitely finding my beloved mumbai noise makes me noseblind if I over use it. I may need to start rationing it. Had a weekend away from it, and it definitely smelled stronger after a break. Shame, as I'd like to douse myself in it all day long on working from home days, but the bottle is running down quite fast so it'd just be a waste

MiaN · 12/11/2024 07:55

It's going to be Givenchy L'Interdit Rouge Ultime. I love this range. They absolutely have way too many flankers, they are too perfumey, I get the bubble gum reference - although it's not like any bubble gum I have had, little bit nostalgic but it just feels good to my nose. I just find it feminine, little sweet, little dark, little bubbly & little spicy and interesting - it's balance of many things that appeals to me. Sometimes :)

spikeandbuffy · 12/11/2024 12:06

Kyse scent today, it's like pancake syrup and lemon

I'm banned from wearing it at work so luxuriating in it at home!

Crikeyalmighty · 12/11/2024 12:09

@paristotokyo I like that SJP lovely one too -

paristotokyo · 12/11/2024 20:10

@Crikeyalmighty I can't actually remember what is smells like now! Going to see if I can find it to test it out again.

Todays was LBTY wild rosinda. Got a sample in the liberty beauty drop and fell in love before finishing it and bought a larger size. Not usually a fan of rose centric fragrances but I really like this a lot. It's my favourite of the ones I've sampled so far from the lbty range.

IDontHateRainbows · 12/11/2024 20:39

Interestingly I'm also on a liberty scent thos evening, Hera Reigns, which was in the recent scent kit. It's got a bit of oud in it. I'm intrigued by Oud it's a scent that I didn't like at first but there's something about it I keep going back to! Also had a sniff of Byredo Oud Immortal from the scent library.

Does anyone else like oud? It's such a deep earthy scent, but works quite well blended in Hera Reigns.

AprilLady · 12/11/2024 21:41

I have learnt that I like oud only sometimes, and only in small doses. So I’m pretty wary of it as a general rule.

SOTD was FM en passant, another soft floral office friendly scent. If you are a fan of lilac this is definitely one to try.

MiaN · 13/11/2024 06:07

I have a favourite from Harrods too! I am so looking forward to December.

PDM Athalia today, office day but it's cold out and I need something stronger. My scarf will be sprayed most, I can take it off on office

TheHighPriestess1 · 13/11/2024 06:14

Ted Baker Woman cheap and cheerful but always get compliments

MiaN · 13/11/2024 06:49

“I always write ‘Magic Potion’ on my perfume bottles so when I use them, it feels magical — I make spells in the morning when I put them on.” – Alexa Chung
Thought this is cute

paristotokyo · 13/11/2024 10:48

@IDontHateRainbows I quite like oud. Hera reigns sounds like something I'd like.

Today is diptyque eau duelle. Didn't like it much on inital spray but the dry down is better. This is a 'green' type of vanilla fragrance, not overly sweet.

AprilLady · 13/11/2024 11:31

Today is Chanel Misia. Nothing revolutionary, but a very well done Rose/Violet powdery scent, as you would expect from the Les Exclusifs line. Quite similar to FM Lipstick Rose, but I prefer this.

IDontHateRainbows · 13/11/2024 14:26

Back on the Find Comfort today which I think will be one of my 'office day' stalwarts.

Tomorrow I'm working from home so can spray to my heart's content - I have the Byredo library to still work through - any recommendations? (not Bal D'Afrique or Mojave Ghost I've already tried those)
