It brought me to tears when I first encountered it in my local Selfridges last autumn, such was the rush of nostalgia for the 70s that it conjured. But the initial spray disappeared so fast I wasn’t willing to splash out on a full bottle. So I’m hoarding a tiny sample bought as part of a Celine sample box.

It’s much smoother than my usual style - a breath of calm at a fraught time. I’ll need a full bottle eventually …

Monotheme Tuberose. About £20 from M&S and for the price it really hits the spot.

I’d prefer to be able to wear Byredo Rose of No Man’s Land every day but at £220 per 100ml I can’t.

The odd thing is, La Peau Nue was apparently created in 2019. And it’s so subtle I find it difficult to describe at all - but something about it takes me back to my hazy understanding of the adult world when I was child.

So now I’ve had to order a sample from Fragrance Revolution @DisneyHag , your description is so intriguing. Not often you hear a decade being referenced like that.

There’s a crispness in the air here today so I will be wearing my beloved Zara Red Temptation Winter - it is stunning in autumn (but I find it not rich enough for winter).

Gucci Memoire D’Une Odeur

A wonderfully comforting blend of chamomile and bitter almond that works brilliantly in the autumn. It’s crisp and warm in the same moment. Most unlike other Gucci fragrances and I’m gutted they’re discontinuing it.

Aww no, is it being discontinued? Didn’t know that. I love it too.

It is - actually think it already has. Shame, as it’s a beautiful scent.

I dont think it was a big seller and many people disliked it because it was quite 'different'.
