Are white skinny jeans a massive no no ?

I've just found a lovely pair of
Fit really well
None see through
Absolutely love them
Apparently they aren't in fashion tho which is making me question them
Are they that bad ?
I was thinking with sandals and a tee in summer
Just a basic outfit

They are definitely Mary Berry's summer wardrobe to me. I love Mary but no wish to emulate her style.

Yeah, but it only needs a tiny tweak to make it more current- looser cut jeans and an oversized linen/cotton/denim shirt would be great. It’s just unfortunate that the tiny tweak is losing the bit that the OP asked about.

I think slim rather than skinny would be more flattering and look less dated

@henlake7 , size 8 means very little. There's quite a difference between a 5'1" size 8 and a 5'8" size 8.

Princess Diana used to rock white jeans. I think they were straight more than skinny, though

they are totally in fashion! White jeans never go out of style in the summer. Go for it!!!

But there is a difference between clinging to your 1980s style 40 years later and following every fleeting jeans trend that the fashion world dictates. 2 years ago we had mom jeans, then cropped, now wide legs. When jeans are some of the most durable item of clothing that exists.

I admire anyone that can wear white trousers (or a white coat). If I try, they get an indelible stain on them in the first five minutes. If you like them, get them. They'll be a nice summer outfit.

I think I must live in the most unfashionable place in the country as the only people I see in flared / wide leg jeans are under 25.

If skinny jeans are so out of fashion, why are the shops still full them? If something is really out of style, shops stop selling them completely, but that’s simply not the case with skinny jeans. Sure, there are wide leg trousers in stores too, and combat trousers and various other styles. It’s about personal choice…Wear what you like and feel comfortable in.

To be fair young people are usually more tuned in to fashion trends, so that would make sense.

Loose Women did a segment last week saying skinny jeans are making a comeback this year. I don’t know if I trust Loose Women for fashion advice anymore than strangers on Mumsnet though!
They do sound like a classic fit though & if they make you happy just wear them!
