What are you lusting over but will (probably) never get?

You just WANT it but you won’t or can’t buy it because it’s too impractical, too expensive, not a necessity, not sensible, unreasonable, etc. Every so often you’ll look at it online, sigh longingly, give the screen a loving stroke and sadly close the page.

I’m not a fan of the LV logos on bags but this I love!

A Chanel Up in the Air tote in silver

@IggysPop

Now I want one two. Reminds me of an early Ollie and Nic bag I had at uni. Loved it.

@IncognitoIsMyFavouriteWord go for a Mini convertible if you can, brilliant fun! 🤩

Gosh, yes. I'm tempted to have my garden cat secured so I can get one.

Dooooo it!!!!
You too @Eleesah

They are the most amazing cats ever (I say this as a lifelong cat owner of various breeds).

I truly feel like they are almost a different species than other breeds.

So, so interactive.
My boy comes running to the front door to greet us, he does all sorts of tricks like a dog.

He is incredibly observant and affectionate and lays in the bathroom sink whilst I have a bath lol.

Very people orientated and prefers our company to other cats.

He will just flop down wherever we are :)

But just make sure that you can afford grain free, sugar free, wet food and remember everything is going to be bigger.

Bigger carriers (I got one made for dogs) litter trays (you need one at least 55cm) appetites etc.

My Maine Coon is double the size of my other cats and also eats double.

Make sure you get good insurance too, I recommend Pet Plan.

My boy is indoors only but we have a cat proofed balcony too.

Ever since someone on S&B linked to something - not my thread but I clicked anyway - this keeps coming up on my feed. Drool.

Fernsbury Jacket Winter White Signature Tweed - Welcome to the Fold LTD (thefoldlondon.com)

Oh no…I clicked the link and also completely love it. This is going to haunt me now too! 😭

These Boots. But I can't see me spending that kind of money on myself.

They are really well made and last forever, so technically the cost per wear would be pennies meaning they're a good investmentGrin

Globules · 08/04/2024 11:11

A piece of jewellery over £1000. I've never owned one. Will never justify the cost to myself, so unlikely to own one.

So I don't even look!

Have found them a dream to drive. XC40, 60 and 90.

I have a 60 and a 90. The 60 is a much smoother drive.

Ruthietuthie · 08/04/2024 12:41

@bunnybunnybunnybunny, wow, that truly is a thing of beauty. No wonder you have thought about it for so many years.

MooseBeTimeForSnow · 08/04/2024 14:20

I also have a 60. Regularly spend 7-8 hours in it driving to the mountains. Super comfortable and the safety is a bonus, given that elk and moose are regular sightings here.

DominoRules · 07/04/2024 19:34

@Nicetobenice67 so if I buy them now then technically it wasn’t my decision and I can just say it was you making me……..

Did you buy them 😀

Corestly · 08/04/2024 15:07

A huf-haus. I worked with a woman about 15 years ago who lived in one. When I told her how much I loved them, she invited me over to see hers. I cried when I pulled into her driveway!

RosyappleA · 08/04/2024 15:17

A pair of moissanite bezel gold studs, tired of maintaining my silver, it just looks grey. They are £400 but I need a new fridge, car and sofas this year so cannot get them!

Mollyplop999 · 08/04/2024 15:20

Dymaxion very cute.looks like a Highland Pony.

This dress. I've been watching it for at least a year.

The Row Lillibet dress

Ouch. I thought that's pretty and then saw the cost of it. I wonder what it would cost to have it made if you could lay your hands on high end fabric

I could just afford that dress; particularly if I didn't buy anything else in a year but it's still a lot of money.

The sleeves look very slim fitting. I fear if I bought it I'd have to ask a dressmaker if she could chop the sleeves to bracelet length and use the material to put an inset in the upper arm to widen it. She probably could but that would add another hundred to it.

Starting from scratch, I'm not sure it would be much cheaper. The body is silk and wool and it's lined in silk.
