Botox is it worth it?

Im 50 and all of a sudden I have wrinkles and lines which are really aging, I also look like I’m permanently scowling or growling with collapsed eye brows. Also hate my 11 lines.

I just want to look like a fresher version of my self. Anyone relate? Did Botox fix it for you?

Grin

Best not to engage with the crazy.

But you did until you didn’t have a comeback? I’m crazy? But you’re promoting Botox as a miracle cure for aging with no consequences. Ok 👌🏽 crack on. Botox is 100% used for lines in the forehead so you’re talking out your arse.

haveyougotamin · 13/02/2024 06:59

@Stardancer89 yes it's used for lines in forehead but those decrease from no longer causing the lines. Not because they're plumped.

And to be exact it can also used for the masseter muscles, crows feet, jelly roll and I'm sure a few other things, so not 100% for lines in the forehead so you may want to get your facts straight.

And @Stardancer89 fwiw your long ranty message is the most abusive on this thread. Why are you so het up about this?

Must be the wrinkles 😆

DoYouWantToStartACultWithMe · 13/02/2024 11:09

I'm booking my next appointment as we speak, hope I don't end up with a swollen forehead pumped full of stuff that then deflates and sags.

Hint: I definitely definitely won't. 😂

NonPlayerCharacter · 13/02/2024 11:12

It's clear from these discussions that the haters haven't got a clue what they're talking about. One brave woman once posted a pic of her lovely face and asked them to guess what procedures she'd had. They were falling all over themselves to tell her how terrible her forehead Botox and lip fillers were, how she looked bulbous, blown up, had a sheen etc. And then it turned out the only work she had had was some cheek filler after chemotherapy. No Botox, no lip filler. But she had spent her life being bullied for her (gorgeous) face...

If you had read the thread before jumping in you would see that I started off fine with an opinion and a personal observation But then all the shriveled up old hags got offended and hurt so I had to meet fire with fire.

I have checked and quoted the facts and the lines in the girls forehead disappear after her treatment. Thanks

Actually, you met reason with froth, ignorance, factual inaccuracy and really, really pathetic insults. But you seem to make a point of coming back to resurrect the thread days after everyone else has forgotten about it. If you had actually been meeting fire, it would have burned out days before you turned up.

Post a photo and so will I and we can compare wrinkles: you inject your face , I don’t but you will still have more wrinkles than me. And you always will do. Some girls have it and some don’t. Some girls were born with it others buy it.

It's taken Stardancer a week and a half to discover the existence of PubMed but she still doesn't know how to use it and she's now decided that she's being abused when people point out her rambling, raging and really rather spiteful nonsense.

Isn't the Internet great? I've always wondered where it could go after the giddy heights of Nyan Cat and Shut Up Woman Get On My Horse.

No stardancer has a life and can’t be sat on a woman’s forum every day like some saddos who seem to live on it. It’s not spiteful. If the truth hits and the shoe fits then don’t engage. Please believe it didn’t take long to Google what I had mentioned and amongst the sellers and promotors were some real facts. Still you refuse to listen. I however am not fussed what you think. The person who asked the question deserves to hear the dark side of this vanity project. Not just all you plastic air heads pumping her head full of rubbish. Stepford wives looking robots. They say films predict the future …Stepford wife’s and death becomes her spring to mind.

It's like there was a swordplay demonstration, someone turned up to fling poo, all the swordspeople went home and several days later the poo flinger came back and started flinging poo again. Please note, just because I'm entertained by watching the poo flinging doesn't mean I'm listening to the noise it's making.

There no poo flinging there were facts stated and observations then there was a flurry of upset Botox users who took offence. I’ll disappear again whilst I do things in life that are important but when I find myself with a moments spare I’ll have a read and say as I feel. Stay tuned. As usual I stay on the side of the few and I am happy that some women have taken some positivity from my comments but the majority won’t. I’ve always been on the side of the wolves and not the sheep’s so it’s nothing different for me.

If it was something that was actually worth a convo I would have turned up lively but watching a thread over Botox isn’t my priority even though it may be yours as I assumed you’ve read the full thread. I just reply to people who have mentioned me and initially I had my say it wasn’t spiteful but some people got triggered. Their problem not mine. It’s not factual inaccuracy I thought you knew about pub med. don’t worry the girls who only care about how they look usually have nothing else of substance so I’m not surprised they are ignorant and froth back, and come on here everyday.

Willowtree6 · 16/02/2024 19:22

YES!!! Do it

Dogdo · 16/02/2024 19:37

Another who loved Botox but can't afford it. I'm 39.

Also be careful where you go! First time I went to a place that was pretty expensive, but was someone who had been doing botox for about 20 years and obviously knew her stuff (and was a Doctor). She did my forehead, 11s, and eyes "crows feet" (she kind of up-sold me on the crows feet and I wouldn't personally have that done again). The results were absolutely amazing!

However it was expensive, so the next time I went somewhere cheaper (still recommended by a friend so I thought it would be OK).

The results were nowhere near as good (almost non-existent!!) and I was really disappointed.

There were a lot of differences in technique between the first and second practitioner and the first time there were a lot more injections, so I think the cheaper place used significantly less botox, hence it was cheaper. But as a result it was not actually worth having the treatment.

Unfortunately for the time being that means I can't afford to do it, which I can live with, but I've genetically got a very heavily lined forehead (have had forehead lines since mid-late teens) and 11s bother me as they can make me look grumpy so it it something I would like to be able to afford (but I don't lose sleep over it!).
