Nude or black shoes with this dress

I am wearing this dress to an evening do, probably with some sort of shawl or coverup as it won’t be warm.

i have some black platform sandals that don’t look too bad with it, but not sure if nude may be better? And any ideas what to coverup with?! I’ve not been to anything like this in years 😫

Opinion seems quite divided for metallic / nude or black 😬 thanks for new look link, good thing they have a few styles that are wide fitting 👍

Another vote for gold or silver. Definitely not black and I feel nude shoes are more suited to a summer look.

I think neither black nor nude - black will be too 'heavy' colour wise and I think nude is quite dated. I agree with metallic - gold or silver or would even consider a bright pink.
