Nude or black shoes with this dress

I am wearing this dress to an evening do, probably with some sort of shawl or coverup as it won’t be warm.

i have some black platform sandals that don’t look too bad with it, but not sure if nude may be better? And any ideas what to coverup with?! I’ve not been to anything like this in years 😫

No boots, if posible matching shoes and clutch bag/hand purse. Maybe a fluffy shawl?

I would be tempted to go for a berry pink/purple personally but I know some people don’t go for the sort of opposites thing.

If your buying new shoes I think sliver or gold would look nice, or a contrasting bold colour.

Grey. Grey is a very under appreciated colour in shoes.

I think both colours would work but tbh the style of the shoe matters more. I think it needs to be quite strappy, courts would look wrong. Platforms don’t always look great with this less dress.

I personally hate the pashmina thing & would chose an opera style coat in velvet/silk etc

Probably a controversial opinion but I'd go for ruby red or raspberry red. And definitely not platforms or anything clunky. Love the dress.

Me too. I don't even own any nude shoes. I'd have to go out and buy them.

Non heel wearer here too! I would go with these shoes (linked by a PP) they look delicate from the front but have a stable heel that you will def be able to dance in!

It’s been a long time since I’ve seen anyone wear nude shoes…. Especially heels. That seems very dated ( as does the idea of a pashmina or shawl.). Shoe wise I would wear a hot pink or one of the many gold shoes that have been posted. I think I’d clash the bag so if I went gold shoes I’d go pink bag. ( Or a similarly clashing colour similar in tone) I’m not sure about cover ups but I’d probably look for a second hand opera coat or something a bit fancy / fun.
