Just that really, what do you think? Obviously looks much better on a model in the picture. Thank you!

I think there are way nice dresses out there tbh.

Britpopbaby · 14/01/2024 13:50

I’m not a fan of the top bit and I agree with PP that there are nice dresses to be found.

AreolaGrande · 14/01/2024 13:52

Insipid colour and rather dishrag-esque.

Not for me.

mouseychick · 14/01/2024 13:53

I'm so sorry it looks awful and cheap.

bobomomo · 14/01/2024 13:53

@Britpopbaby

Very over the top and too short imho.

IHaveNeverLivedintheCastle · 14/01/2024 13:56

What is or isn't a nice dress is 100% subjective.

It's not a style I would wear as it's sleeveless and shorter than I would pick.

To answer your question, if you like it, it's fine for a wedding.

On whether it's "a nice dress", whilst it's not a style I would pick, I think it is "a nice dress" . It's a lot "nicer" than many other dresses I've seen on here, but that's just my subjective opinion.

In your opinion. In my opinion the OP's dress is much nicer than that Anthropologie one you've linked to.

wallpapercurious · 14/01/2024 14:06

I don't personally like it but I think it's appropriate for a summer wedding. Maybe with a jacket or cardigan for the church service if there is one.

Turmerictolly · 14/01/2024 14:10

It's pretty but depends what it looks like on and the accessories. It seems a bit too short for a wedding guest outfit.

BlastedPimples · 14/01/2024 14:34

It looks tatty to me.

AmyTurtleRocks · 14/01/2024 14:35

Sorry but that dress is vile 😁

WilhelminaBunter · 14/01/2024 14:37

I think you can do better

It looks over priced even at £40.

WilhelminaBunter · 14/01/2024 14:38

(I don't even like it on the model)

IHaveNeverLivedintheCastle · 14/01/2024 14:49

The OP's dress is also Anthropologie. I think it looks much nicer than the one you suggested. Pictures 5 and 6 show the embroidery for the petals. It's really pretty.

Blush flutter petal dress.

Teen wedding dress.

Why would you?

Honestly, I still think it looks a bit of a mess even with that extra link. The colour isn't helping though. Maybe you could dye it, but even then I'm not keen personally

Katrinawaves · 14/01/2024 15:05

My eyes! Even on the very gorgeous very young model that looks like it’s been run up on their mum’s sewing machine by a teenager using a tacking stitch! The quality is clearly awful. Leaving aside the fact that the style makes the model look like she’s selling personal services. Colour is nice though.

The one the OP is looking at is a bit meh. I agree she could probably find better at the same price point. Not the Phase Eight version though unless she is over 30 with a large frame. But my guess is she wouldn’t have been drawn to her original choose if she is.

As a large 40 yo, do not inflict that dress on the large 30 plus community please and thank you!

I'm not keen on any of the dresses on this thread. They're a bit...sickly

IHaveNeverLivedintheCastle · 14/01/2024 15:17

I'm more than twice 30 and have a large frame. I wouldn't even begin to contemplate wearing the Phase Eight dress. For me it's a very dull dress for anyone.

MrsMoastyToasty · 14/01/2024 15:20

Sorry, its a no from me.
It looks like someone has attached a load of used tissues to a bit of net.

ginasevern · 14/01/2024 15:27

I like it. It's got a vintage look which I like. It's the sort of thing I would've worn in my 20's or 30's. Too old to carry it off now.
