@MotherWol 🤣🤣🤣I did wonder about you having 3 bottles of the stuff.

Empties!

Revlon shampoo. A classic old fashioned smell that reminds me of times past. Would rp. Does a good job cleaning the hair.

sanex expert shower gel. Does the job.

soft and gentle magnolia deodorant spray. I loved the smell but my armpits still smelt. Won’t rp.

Aveeno shower gel. Staple

French lavender hand wash from costco. Lovely scent and feeling. Would rp.

2 mason and miller hotel minis: I dream of the day I am done with them. Why are they so horrible?

cocomelon bath confetti: keeps children entertained in the bath. It was my last one. I have to move onto bath bombs.

Talking of which: 3 lol bath bombs that I don’t have a picture of.

1 pears soap classic. I liked it. Would rp if I finish my stash.

huggies wipes: staple

very boring stuff but at least it shows that we shower 😆

@Thereislightattheendofthetunnel I'm with you on the hotel minis I had about 25 bottles of minis from Center Parcs and it took me so long to use them up and I didn't even much like the smell. I forced myself to use them every other shower until they were finally gone (although I'm a little bit worried there are some lurking in the spare room but I don't dare check!!)

Super Troopers Police GIF

I just finished a bottle each of &Honey Silky Moist Shampoo & Conditioner suspiciously quickly. They’re HUGE bottles. Had a quick think and did a schniff test off DD2’s mermaid locks. Discovered that she had been decanting not insignificant quantities into her shampoo & conditioner bottles. That has been nipped in the bud. I have purchased some in less “aesthetic” bottles (God I hate the overuse and application of that word by millennials….) so she hasn’t noticed its existence. *May have mentioned ripping off of ears if I am left without shampoo again, too.
For the first time in centuries I am out of Curel Foaming Face Wash. I had to buy the Cerave Ceramides Hydrating Cream-to-Foam Cleanser. It’s good. I like it. I just don’t love it. Don’t ask me why… I can’t get excited by it.
I have about one or two uses left of my TirTir Hydro Boost Enzyme Cleansing Balm. There are three superfluous words in its name. Apart from that, it’s a perfectly fine cleansing balm. Doesn’t do anything else though. I’m waiting for a new one to arrive from Stylevana. I’m going for fragrance this time. Don’t tell the skin police.

Peridot1 · 27/09/2024 12:53

Oh dear @Fraaahnces! 😂. Have to be impressed at her ingenuity though. I used to use my mum’s stuff all the time. Only realised how annoying it was when my younger sisters started doing it to me!

Experiment627 · 28/09/2024 16:36

@Thereislightattheendofthetunnel where did you get the Revlon shampoo? I used to LOVE Flex :)

@Fraaahnces don't think I will suffer the same with my son - phew!
BTW Have you tried the TirTir cushion foundation?

I bought a Rimmel foundation the other day as I saw a video recommending it - it looks awful on my skin so based on a friend's recommendation I have bout one of the Fenty ones... it arrives Monday! It was on special offer so I do not feel that bad and my friend's skin does look hamazing when she wears it.

I have an empty:

  • Daen facial cold wax strips: worked great for my facial hair, and TBH I prefer waxing this area to shaving or plucking.

@Experiment627 I think this bottle I brought back from Spain last summer. However, if I don’t remember wrongly I think I saw some in HomeBargains a while back

LunchBoxPolice · 02/10/2024 20:18

Soap and glory dry shampoo - as a dry shampoo it doesn’t do much, but it smells bloody lovely.
Tresemee dry shampoo - meh
Super facialist cleansing oil - love this and have already bought another

Fraaahnces · 04/10/2024 03:39

@Experiment627 - I bought the mini TirTir cushion (adorable) because cushions can be so hit and miss. Hate to admit it… I have found that if your skin is prepped - hydrated and moisturised, it totally lives up to the hype if you use it properly. I would never apply it directly to my face as it would be too much. You dab it into the cushion then pat a few times on the black “door” to disperse the foundation evenly on the sponge before tapping lightly onto your face. The shades are really good. I purchased 23N which is the usual darkest KBeauty shade and found it to be great. Yesterday I had 24N delivered which I think will be perfect for me atm in the run up to Summer. (My skin is med-light olive toned)

Experiment627 · 04/10/2024 05:53

@Fraaahnces thanks! I think this will be my next port of call if the Fenty one is a fail. I am still waiting for it to arrive! Boots Click & Collect, which is usally very fast has gone slow!

OP posts:
Fraaahnces · 04/10/2024 06:54

I’m tempted to try the Fenty stick foundation. Is that the one you’re getting @Experiment627 ?

Experiment627 · 04/10/2024 08:30

@Fraaahnces I am getting the drops one - if it blooming ever arrives!
That said I was given a Fenty primer recently and used it this morning with the Rimmel foundation & the foundation looks way better than when I used on its own or with the elf power grip primer.

I’m going to have to pack a “Go Bag” for short & extended hospital stay. I kinda feel that the stick would be good for this purpose. (I don’t want coverage.)

Experiment627 · 04/10/2024 10:19

Scratch ehat I said about the foundation working - just caught sight of myself in lift light - which is not at all forgiving- my make-up is a complete train wreck!

tbf lift lighting is some of the worst lighting you can find yourself in!

Fraaahnces · 04/10/2024 13:53

Thanks @Experiment627 - not happening atm. We’re packing slowly to move house. I’m packing two “Go Bags” as well while doing so. There’s nothing planned atm.

A bunch of empties

  1. Nuxe oil - really like this but have plenty of oil at the moment. Future RP
  2. Maria Nila head and heal shampoo and conditioner - these were in the last liberty BD. I liked them so much I've already RP. My hair seems quite strong and glossy now
  3. Nuxe precious scented shower oil - quite thick for an oil but smelt of honey very relaxing
  4. Dove original deodorant - A favourite will RP at some point
  5. Oi shampoo - this was in last years Liberty AC. what is this stuff? It smelled fine in the bottle and was alright on my hair but as soon as it got warm the scent was so strong I honestly thought it would knock me out. Not an RP!
  6. Nivea day cream - classic will RP at some point
  7. Votary night star serum this was ok but I thought maybe a bit drying. Not an RP
  8. Sample of Darling Nikki perfume. This was in a Liberty BD ages ago and I've been eeking it out as it's just so lovely - sadly it's ££££ so not sure when I'll be able to RP
  9. Tube of random hotel shower gel - meh
  10. No. 7 foaming cleanser - liked this one, light on skin but seemed to leave it clean. Dosen't smell of anything and lasted a veeery long time. I thougth I'd finished but there seemed to be another fortnight of the stuff still in there Grin Almost certainly an RP
  11. Molton Brown eucalyptus shower gel - I keep this for when I have colds as it really helps the congestion. Sadly I've had what's likely covid this week so it's all gone.
  12. Hair by Sam Mcknight conditioner. In recent GWP. It was OK but I certainly wouldn't rush out to buy it. I thought it smelt a bit peppery as well
  13. Percy and Reed no oil oil. Quite glad to finish this. It was vaguely OK for the purpose but smelt medicinal - won't miss it
  14. Filorga serum This stuff is amazing. It was in last years M&S AC. I've not even dared look at the price but it will going on the RP list for another day
listsandbudgets · 04/10/2024 14:11

Photo. 122/135. I think it may a while before I have any more empties . Limiting myself to just the M &S AC this year last year I had 2

@listsandbudgets The Votary night star serum, isnt that really expensive? I think I have one in my collection. I'd be gutted if it left my skin dry.

PomsRun · 04/10/2024 20:41

Cerave hydrating foaming cleanser. Lasts ages, not drying annd effective (I can see quite a few of us like this).
Garnier intensive hydrating lotion, affordable and great.
Living proof dry shampoo. It’s fine, but doesn’t justify the price.
Dermalogica cleanser. It’s good, but not better than CeraVe.
Clinique moisture surge - was in a beauty box, I’m reminded that there are looks of good Clinique products.
Otto exfoliating cleanser. I liked it, was very fresh.

74/80

and a few minis.
Ouai St Bart’s cleanser. I loved this. Will purchase at some point.
L’occitane shea shower gel - I liked it but prefer a fresher fragrance.
Rituals face scrub - too runny. Didn’t do anything.

Rrp £140 apparently… was in Liberty calendar last year. I thought was fine, certainly not £140 worth of fine.

Thank you @PomsRun I certainly didnt pay £140, wouldnt dream of it. I might be an addict, but I like some bang for my buck :)

Fraaahnces · 05/10/2024 10:11

@Experiment627 I miiiight have made a trip to Sephora today. I’m glad I went in person as the colour charts and photos for the Eazedrop Stick Foundation are WILDLY off! I thought I’d be around a 4N. I purchased 9N and these are their corresponding photos. RiRi herself supposedly wears this shade. I can’t believe this. I am genetically a mixed bag, but just looking at me (blue eyes, blonde hair) I am all shades of beige. I would looooove to have eyes (esp eyelashes) and skin like this beautiful model, but mine is way off base)

Oh, did I mention the side trip to Mecca (our version of Space NK)? CT Unreal Sheer Glow Tint Hydrating Foundation Stick in 8 Medium. (Warm Medium.)
I couldn’t choose!
