Not really empties , but items that have left the house so will count as such .
The ladies club I'm in is collecting toiletries to donate to our local foodback so I took in 1 M & S handcream Almond , 1Childs Farm 2 in 1 shampoo & conditioner 2 packs of Face cloths , a pack of 4 Cussons soaps and a Palmolive body cream .

@Peridot1 and @OchonAgusOchonOh Yoy know I agree. Wonder why we can’t claim it from Medicare/NHS as it is proven to prevent skin cancer? We are doing them a favour!

Excellent idea.

Agh I fell off this thread and need to catch up! I have been photographing my empties for you though...

117) Elvive colour protect shampoo - current favourite everyday shampoo

118) Dr Hauschka shower cream - ok, bit of a strange artificial lemon scent. I like the packaging though and the way it dispenses

119) Cult 51 Day cream - not keen on this. It's too thick and pills under makeup

120) ELNR - quite like this

121) Ren eye cream -ok, not a favourite. Too thick for an eye cream imo

122) Drunk Elephant glycolic serum - doesn't do anything as far as I can tell

123) By Terry Rose de Baume - I didn't expect to like putting a rose scented product on my lips, but it was actually really nice!

124) Elemis Marine Cleanser - good cleanser

125) MZ skin mask (not pictured) - meh. Doesn't do anything as far as I can tell

126) Dr Dennis Gross Extra Strength Daily Peel - ok, but I prefer the orange ones. Didn't seem to be 'extra strength'

127) Radox Stress Relief Bath Soak - fine

More empties to post shortly...

Right, empties part 2...

128) Garnier body lotion - this is a really nice moisturiser. I'm not crazy about the scent but it's not bad. I bought it on offer so have another in the stash.

129) Rituals body scrub - this was an RP, I like it. Nice scent and leaves my skin soft.

130) Votary Cleansing Oil - ok but not a favourite. The smell reminds me of cooking oil! Wouldn't RP.

FINALLY reached my 130 empties target from 2023! 🎉. Will continue and try to reach at least 200 by the end of this year

131) Rare Beauty Mascara - I liked this. Would RP if I didn't already have a zillion mascaras to use up.

132) Origins Ginzing moisturiser - I like this and have repurchased in the past

133) Origins face wash - I also think that this is a great face wash and have repurchased before. Generally a fan of Origins products

134) Cult 51 Night Cream - not very keen on this. It's very thick, which is ok for winter, but it leaves a greasy film on my skin which pills

Total 134/200

Have been pretty good in terms of buying. I've only bought 3 products so far this year. A concealer, and two tubes of foot cream, so I'm finally making some progress with the stash (although there's still a long way to go!)

Mascara Empties:-
Heimish - Dailism Smudge Stop Mascara. Biggest brush I have ever used. Haven’t managed not to smudge it ever… Looked great on but hard to drive. Glad it’s gone.
Clio Kill Lash Volume Curling. HG.
Clio Kill Lash Soft Volume Curling Also HG.
Will reorder both of those when I am done with stash.

Have used up the colours I like in a Kaja Beauty Bento (Mauve Bouquet). The ridiculously sparkly top bit had smashed before I received it so I tipped it in the bin anyway. I loved the two darker colours but wouldn’t have worn the top one as I didn’t like the new “foil” formula. If they had stuck with their older satin one I would repurchase for sure. I honestly prefer these to Pat McGrath. (Chocolate Dahlia, Rosewater, Soiked Ginger and Orange Blossom are amazing!!!)

More empties for me...

Clarins - Total Cleansing Oil - Love this stuff, would definitely RP. Just plenty more cleansers to get through first!

This Works - Stress Check Mood Manager - I liked the smell of this on my pillow, but I certainly never smell this stuff after a few mins... Wouldn't go out my way to RP.

Ceravae - Facial Moisturising Lotion - I like this, feel like I get all of it out due to the pump, and it isn't too sticky/ smells too much of SPF. Will RP once I get through others.

Jean Paul Gaultier - Scandal Nice sweet smelling perfume. It didn't seem to last on my skin.

Nip and Fab - Dragon Blood Plumping Serum - I like this stuff/ the texture/ the smell. Would RP.

The White Company - Lime and Bay Body Wash - Get one every year for Christmas in a set. I like it and smells really fresh/ foams up nicely. I don't necessarily think any body wash is worth a big price tag. Maybe I'm in the minority here though!

L'Occitane - Light Comforting Cream and Proactive Youth Skincare - Only have a little sachet of these so not sure I can really review it as such, but felt nice and smelt nice and clean (if that makes sense) on the skin.

Loving seeing all your empties, still makes me want to try a lot of them though!! 😁 😂

Just wanted to come back and state that whilst I sound rather saintly re my epiphany regarding skincare, I have just spent a fortune on clothing that I need/want. Nothing designer, but have entirely rejigged my wardrobe to reflect my new reality and the coming years. Comfy boots and winter clothes were required. (Thank gawd!)

CorneliaStreet · 12/04/2024 17:19

A few more empties:

Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage concealer duo - I think this is my proudest ever empty! It’s taken me years to get through this (which is completely gross, as it’s a cream product). It’s a brilliant, high coverage concealer with two shades so you can mix to get the perfect colour match. I finished the darker shade a while ago, so used up the rest of the lighter one as an eye primer. I think it comes in a dual ended stick now, rather than a compact.

Bare Minerals Prime Time primer - 15ml. I don’t usually bother with primer, but really enjoyed this. Must now make an effort to use the other random primers I have.

Love Body & Earth hand cream is Coconut - 30ml. This one actually smelled quite nice. I got six of these for Christmas - three down, three to go.

Blueberry Siberica Anti-Ox Wild Blueberry moisturiser SPF 20 - 6ml. A random old sachet but it was a good size so got a few uses out of it. It was really nice but no idea if you can actually still buy this anywhere.

Glow Recipe Plum Plump Hyaluronic Cream - 50ml. Got this in a Cult Beauty skincare kit. It was great, lightweight but still really moisturising. My only gripe was that it took a minute or two to sink in, which was a bit annoying in the mornings when in a rush.

This Works Stress Check CBD Body Cocoon - 250ml. Prefer the scent of this to their deep sleep one. It was a bit greasy though.

@Peridot1 it just was not seamless at all - I really noticed it on my face in a non-coverage, makes my skin looks worse kind of way. Is the eyeshadow crease free?

I have some empties to report:

  • M&S sun smart moisture protect creme gel aftersun: adore this, completely HG. Cooling, soothing, moisturising. Think it has been discontinued 😭😭😭
  • Aldi Lacura facial sunscreen gel SPF 50: a pretty good dupe for Supergoop only this smells rank. Otherwise really fab.
  • Sure cotton dry anti-perspirant: gets so messy on the container - bad design! Not great at masking my sweaty whiffy pits.
  • Superdrug Fantasy bubble bath: came with a bubble blower thing which did not work. EPIC FAIL. Strawberry smell. Did not bubble much.
  • Rimmel Kind & Free mascara: ok but may I say I moved on to the Loreal Panorama mascara which is WOW!
  • Real Techniques stippling brush: hairs are moulting! Probably as I have actually cleaned the thing!

Finished some hair bits’n’bobs…
Batiste dry shampoo… Coconut something. Picked it up instead of the Rose Gold one on the shelf next to it. Gotta admit it was a struggle. Not a coconut girlie. Was a huge can of course. Will repurchase but different flavour.
Blue shampoo. Fanola No Orange. It’s very effective. Glad the tiles in my bathroom are already blue. I don’t follow the advice and leave it on at all as I look like a My Little Pony. It’s very effective for getting rid of warmth but also very drying.
Fudge Purple Repairing Shampoo & Conditioner. It’s a good purple shampoo. Not sure I’m buying into the repair hype but it isn’t as drying as other purples as I have used.
Pantene 3 Minute Miracle Moisture Mask. Very effective but weighs my hair down. Going to try and find the Moroccan oil one recommended by Professor Blowout.
Have actually spent a load on some new clothes and boots lately so am thinking twice before hair. (Plus haven’t had it cut or done since November…)

listsandbudgets · 14/04/2024 12:50

more empties

Mud cleaner by omizicrovia love this on list for eventual RP

L'occtaine intensive repair shampoo. A staple. got a small bottle from a GWP and will RP when u finally lift my buying ban

this works deep sleep body cocoon.. it was OK but won't RP. I prefer lush dream cream

Philip kingsley shampoo and conditioner... did the job but probably not an RP

L'occtaine comforting cream feels lovely going on and actually is quite comforting!

No 7 moisturiser will be a RP but got lots of things to work my way through first

41/100

Fraaahnces · 14/04/2024 13:46

Oooh, I forgot… I finished an Estée Lauder Green Tea and Fig EDT. It was a blind buy from the Chemist for $10.00 a couple of years ago. I really did not like this initially. It sat on my desk for ages. I thought it would be good for work as it was cheap and I could get rid of it. I sprayed it liberally and half an hour later I decided that I loved it. I purchased two more and keep one in the car and still use for work. Lovely summer fragrance that smells very green. Now I like it it’s probably discontinued. That’s my luck with fragrance.

PomsRun · 14/04/2024 15:32

@Fraaahnces I’m keen to try that perfume.

Sanctuary shower oil. I quite liked it. Took me back a couple of decades.

Garnier hydrating lotion. Firm favourite.

Clinique All about eyes. Liked it.

Grown alchemist facial cleanser. Was ok for a morning cleanse.

Augustinus Bader rich cream. 2x 7mls. I’d never purchase as so expensive but it is good for winter skin.

25/80

Oops…. It’s Elizabeth Arden not Estée Lauder

PomsRun · 15/04/2024 06:07

@Fraaahnces I love figgy scents. Thank you.

neverendingcold · 15/04/2024 06:27

There's lots of tom ford half price on their website can someone talk me out if it please?

Fraaahnces · 15/04/2024 08:18

@PomsRun - make sure you try it first. It’s very plants. Leafy/citrussy. Absolutely up my alley but not as fruity as some figgy scents.

Fraaahnces · 15/04/2024 08:56

What is it about Tom ford eyeshadows that makes me want one just to have one???

ItookYourJob · 16/04/2024 11:25

Olaplex No 0 and No 3 - better than Redken acid bonding, imho. Would need a full size No3 to really test it. Currently using Colour Wow Dreamcoat so won’t be a RP any time soon.

Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour hand cream - very similar to Neutrogena.

Elizabeth Arden White Tea parfum - actually really nice! Very gentle floral scent.

Liz Earle eye cream - did not like this at all. Tinted, sticky and no real benefit.

Emma Hardy Brilliance Face Oil - used on my neck. I’m not a fan of face oils. Quite heavy.

L’oreal Glow paradise lipstick - really nice, more like a balm.

Burberry and Mac face primers - did not notice any benefits.

Replica perfume sample - I’ve tried many and don’t like any😅

Urban Decay foundation sample - not for dry skin.

@neverendingcold I am too afraid to even look at Tom Ford eyeshadows as I fear that the mere sight of them will trigger a spending frenzy.
How many eyeshadows do you already have? If you are anything like me you have more than enough to last you the rest of your life even if you wear a full face EVERY day!

Hi Beauties…
I have a Glossier question…
Has anyone used Futuredew? Can you describe it please? Trying to decide if it’s what I’m looking for…
