Some more empties to report here...
Hope you're all well on the thread 🙏🏼

Nuxe - Prodigieuse Riche - Face, Body Hair Oil
I love the smell of this and how it feels on my skin.
If people don't like fragranced products though, this is not the one for you.

Dove - Classic Deodorant
My fav smell, always smells so fresh and clean!

The Ordinary - Retinol 1% in Squalane
I think I like this, I don't know what it is achieving. But I feel like I'm doing good putting it on 🤣

Imperial Leather Bath Soak - Cotton Flower & Vanilla Orchid
It's a nice smell in the bottle, but it doesn't really do much for me in the bath! Some bubbles but isn't luxurious. But get what you pay for I suppose!

Ceravae - PM facial moisturising lotion
It's nice and good value. It isn't too thick and definitely feels moisturising.

The Ordinary - Hyralonic Acid 2% B5
I love this stuff.
Plus feel like a scientist with the pippettes 🤣

Herbal Essences Bio Renew Shampoo Manuka Honey
Love the smell and makes my hair feel smooth!

A few more empties:

Farmacy Green Clean cleansing balm - 50ml. My favourite cleansing balm - lightweight but gets all make up off with no effort, washes off completely and smells nice. Basically perfect in every way except the price, so I’m going to try the Heimish one recommended on this thread when the cleanser stash has gone down a bit.

Beauty of Joseon propolis & niacinamide glow serum - 10ml. This felt very similar to the snail/ginseng one from BOJ I used recently and was equally nice to use. Feels very hydrating.

Glow Recipe strawberry BHA & AHA serum - 5ml. Wasn’t keen on this, felt like my skin reacted a little bit to it and it was a bit drying. Much prefer their watermelon BHA toner.

Aveda Botanical Repair styling cream - 40ml. This was great, smoothed my hair without making it flat or greasy.

Bath & Body Works body lotion in Golden Mango Lagoon- 236ml. Love these lotions. This one was very scented so I had to be in the right mood to use it, but usual lovely B&BW formula.

Mini Laniege lip sleeping mask in Berry and Burts Bees lip balm in Strawberry.

@CorCorneliaStreet

Just wondering.. is the Laneige Lip Mask good?

Buster27 · 19/03/2024 09:56

Ren evercalm gentle cleansing milk - liked this, would be happy to use again but there are others I prefer so probably won't RP.

Beauty Pie concealer - a staple for me, have a few floating about in various bags.

Simple soothing facial toner - fine, does the job. Not my favourite but good for the price so would probably RP.

Liberty wild rosinda perfume - LOVED. Gutted to discover it's so expensive, plus I already have too much perfume, but may put my beauty drop credit towards this when there's a good GWP on.

Beauty Pie intensive elastic repair treatment - liked this and would RP.

@LilyJessie I really like the Laniege lip mask. I use it during the day as a lip balm as well as at night (when I’m at home, I use Burts Bees stick balms when I’m out and about) and I have several pots on the go, scattered around the house. Vanilla and mango are my favourite flavours of the ones I’ve tried.

LilyJessie · 19/03/2024 12:14

@CorneliaStreet oooo okay... On the birthday list it goes!!

More empties

Small hotel bottle of ritual of doa conditioner - did the job, smelt good
Ritual of dao foaming shower gel - pleasant but can take or leave it. It lost it's foam as i got towards the bottom
Herbe L'occatine hand cream. Absolutely love this and will RP especially as I have a bottle of matching shower gel and some perfume left
Sunday Riley Good Genes. I know lots of people love this but a big no from me. It stung when it went on and I had a huge break out of spots.
L'occatine rich body lotion- OK
Seated Queen night mask - This is brilliant and I have 2 more 30ml tubes and will then RP
Cien Orange and bergamot shower gel - Lidl dupe of the Molton Brown version and highly recommend. Smells gorgeous and very cheap. Scent doesn't last as long as orginal for but huge price difference I can live with it.
Argon oil conditiioner - Quite like this one certainly got the tangles out

25/100

Aromatherapy Associates bath oil. This product put me off some of the advents this year that had a full size version. I regret this as I'm converted to it. Love the scent, love how smooth my skin is. I wouldn't buy as a solo product but would be happy to find it in an advent or beauty box.

Laneige moisturiser- it's light and probably great on younger skin. I'm mid 40's and need something with more power. Not a repurchase.

Sheet mask - I like these and whilst I wouldn't hurry to repurchase as I have so many wash off masks I may be tempted if I see them on offer.

On track for 100 products used in 2024, to note the stash is far larger than 100... I have stuck to my no purchase plan.

ItookYourJob · 23/03/2024 14:33

Belei eye patches - very cheap and sticky. Not worth using.

Umberto Giannini scalp scrub - smells nice and leaves hair extra, extra clean, but really not a necessity.

Ordinary Zinc serum - it was ok, but I prefer serums that are already mixed up instead of constructing my own.

YSL primer - had glitter in it, so a big no from me.

Philosophy B3 booster - lasted years! It is effective, but became a pain to mix up after a while.

Steve Laurant lip oil - very nice actually. Glossy and had a nice vanilla scent to it.

Rapid Lash serum - works, somewhat. Results are not as dramatic as Revitalash, but I did notice improvement. Downside is that results don’t last even with continued use. I’ll try again in a few weeks.

Loreal telescopic mascara - very good, but I had to wipe off extra product from the brush. Probably used up half the mascara by doing so.

Three out: Three in!
Out: Dear, Klairs (punctuation bugs me)
Midnight Blue Calming Cream. Very pretty colour but could achieve same results by mixing a couple of drops of food colouring into some Cerave.
Out: Numbuzin Number 2 Centella Calming Cream. Thick and left a film. Was not occlusive though. Left my skin weirdly dry.
Out: Saborino Bubble Me Vitamin C Mist. The mist was good. It smelled okay. Didn’t dry me out. A very wee bit sticky.
In… Missha Chogongjin Range (fancy k-beauty based on traditional herbal remedies, namely fermented ginseng, for more “mature” audiences… There are several lines within the range. I chose from two.)
Chogongjin Geumseul Emulsion. Like a serum and a moisturiser had above child. It’s fab. Could probably be used alone over summer as a day cream.
Geumseul Cream… Oh how I love thee… let me count the ways… it’s the perfect texture, is absorbed quickly and feels and smells divine.
Youngan Cream. This stuff is the duck’s nuts! It is occlusive in the nicest, non gloopy way. Doesn’t stick to the frofleaves the skin feeling

Peridot1 · 25/03/2024 09:00

Some empties.

L’Oreal 8 second wonder water. Quite hydrating when my hair was a bit fried from overuse of a hot brush.

Sunday Riley Good Genes - the glycolic one. Not quite empty but I’m not keen on it so getting rid.

Biossance lactic acid treatment. I think I didn’t notice anything much with this. It’s been hanging around for a while so getting rid.

Neutrogena Norwegian Formula handcream. Always reminds me of my Mum for some reason. Very moisturising. Would RP but have loads of handcreams to use up.

Augustinus Bader The Cream. Quite like it but would never actually buy.

Sunday Riley ICE moisturiser. Wasn’t keen on the small and felt it was quite thick. Wouldn’t buy.

Will have some more empties in a few days too as almost done with a few things.

superfacialist vitamin c night cream. I liked it, wasn’t wowed , possibly would rp.
Verden hand cream. Not great.
Thisworks serum. Was very runny, wasn’t keen.
Seated queen serum. Liked a lot, skin felt v soft. Would rp.
Charlotte Tilbury magic cream. Was awful, like Nivea but worse. I don’t like any of her products which I’ve tried.

Empties:

Hado Labo premium whitening lotion - 170ml. I somehow managed to pull the entire label off when I opened it, but this is the tranexamic acid essence as recommended by @Fraaahnces. I think it’s really effective - the patch of redness I had at the top of my chest has completely gone and marks from spots seem to fade well too.

Bubble Slam Dunk moisturiser - 20ml. This was a good moisturiser, I just wasn’t keen on the smell.

Q&A Vitamin C eye cream - 15ml. Felt nice going on put it pilled horribly under make up.

Burts Bees lip balm in Vanilla Maple.

Grow Gorgeous micellar shampoo and conditioner - 250ml each. Didn’t get on with these, glad they’re finished. The shampoo was doable but I felt like I needed a lot to get my hair clean. The conditioner was rubbish, dissolved immediately on contact with my hair and did nothing.

Pink body lotion in Warm & Cozy - 236ml. I wasn’t too keen on the scent of this - I thought it would be vanilla but it was fruity. Nice consistency lotion though.

Experiment627 · 28/03/2024 10:29

I have an empty to report:

  • Superdrug Optimum collagen serum: feels nice on but I did not notice major plumping or firmer skin
OP posts:
ItookYourJob · 30/03/2024 07:59

Artdeco skin perfector - one of those that comes out white and then “adapts” to skin colour. Didn’t like it.

Jorgobè niacinamide serum - really effective, reduced any redness from spots. Would buy again.

Lancôme rènergie - I have a full version of this so will see how it really works later. First impression is good.

Patchology eye gels - not as nice as the blue ones.

Rituals body scrub - very oily. Smells nice but didn’t like the feel of this.

Body shop lip butter - unfortunately irritated my lips.

Kiehl’s ultra facial cream - really liked it, might get a full version.

A few more empties:

Kate Somerville Goat Milk Cleanser - 120ml. Love this, it feels really creamy and luxurious.

Beauty of Joseon ginseng essence water - 40ml. This was nice, but I prefer their ginseng serum as that feels more hydrating.

Beauty of Joseon green tea and panthenol calming serum - 10ml. This was absolutely lovely, it felt amazingly soothing on the skin. Like snail mucin but even better.

Shay & Blue Blood Oranges hand cream - 40ml. Nice consistency cream and smelled lovely.

Le Petit Marseillais shower gel in Pomegranate - 250ml. I really like the shower gels from this brand, they’re good value and leave your skin feeling really nice. This one smelled great - fruity, but in a tart rather than overly sweet way.

Sunday Rain body scrub in Rose - 265g. This was fine other than the fact that it turned my shower a lurid pink colour.

Two photos.

Palmer's Cocoa Butter hand cream. Really nourishing but I don't like the smell, although it does fade quickly. It's very overpowering. I have another one on the go.

Trilogy Everything Balm. I dumped this before it was finished as it had developed a musty smell and was very past its best before, which wouldn't bother me on its own. It took me so long to go through it as it's really greasy so I struggled to find uses for it.

Biome Clarifying serum. It promised to reduce pore size. It didn't.

Farmacy Honey Halo. I loved this. It smelled of honey, was really nourishing, came with a dinky metal spatula and the lid was magnetic so the spatula stayed attached to it.

Beija Flor Elasti cream. It was a nice body cream but the smell was hideous. It smelled like candy floss.

No 7 serum accelerator. I have no idea what it's meant to do but I don't think it made any different to the effectiveness of the serum. Hard to tell in such a small size though.

No 7 serum. This is the serum I use whenever I run out of the advent calendar/gwp/beauty edit options. I do like it but I have a K Beauty snail mucin serum waiting to try after I get through the Boots Collagen one I'm just starting.

@OchonAgusOchonOh The Honey Halo cream is on my wishlist! is it good for dry skin, do you think? Some say it’s very good, some say it’s not enough 🤔

OchonAgusOchonOh · 02/04/2024 17:23

@ItookYourJob - I would say it is if not extremely dry. My skin isn't very dry but I found a very small dollop to be plenty.

ItookYourJob · 03/04/2024 11:27

@OchonAgusOchonOh Thanks! Might be just what I need😊

OchonAgusOchonOh · 03/04/2024 12:30

@ItookYourJob Let us know how you get on. I really loved it but I'm not sure I would pay full price for it (mainly because I'm tight😀). I got it in the CB advent calendar in 2022.

Kittycat333 · 04/04/2024 03:12

Can I join please? I bought the Sephora gwp and more stuff! I did an inventory today and my stash is horrifying!

PomsRun · 04/04/2024 12:03

Do you want to give a number @Kittycat333

Welcome 😊
