A few more empties:

Murad Essential C Day Moisture SPF 30 - 23ml. Not a fan, left my skin feeling greasy. It’s taken me about three months to finish this little tube because I never really wanted to use it.

This Works Deep Sleep Body Cocoon - 100ml. I’m not particularly keen on very essential oil-type lavender scents and also found the formulation a bit too greasy.

Bath & Body Works body lotion in Fireside Flurries - 236ml. Love these lotions and this one smelled amazing, like toasted marshmallows. Definitely one to avoid if you don’t like gourmand scents, but I loved it.

Love Body & Earth Shea butter hand cream - 30ml. Not great, but much better than the horrible vanilla one from this set that I used up a few weeks ago.

Tree Hut Shea sugar scrub in Pineapple - 510g. This is a pretty coarse scrub, so maybe not good for anyone with sensitive skin, but it left my skin feeling really soft. Also smelled amazing.

After months of diligently using up body lotion and shower gel and not buying much, I’ve had a major relapse recently and now have so much that I’ve had to hide some in the bottom of my wardrobe because it no longer all fits in the bathroom cupboard. I also bought a couple of things from Haruharu Wonder, so the skincare stash is also growing. Oops 😆

Minnie123456 · 12/03/2024 23:06

Finally a few more empties to report.
Satin care aloe vera shave gel - this ok, does what it says. I probably will rp as I always seem to go for this one.

Ted Baker peony body spritz- this was ok, it smelt quite sharp, don't think I would rp.

L'oreal elvive purple shampoo- I didn't use this often as I found it quite harsh on my hair. If anyone has any recommendations for a purple shampoo I would love to hear them

L'occitane light comforting cream- I thought this would break my skin out as it was quite fragranced but it didn't. I might rp this.

No7 night cream- HG product, I love this.

Sanctuary body butter- I love the original scent of this, it left my skin nice and soft. Don't need to rp as I have lots of moisturisers in my stash.

Clairns men super moisture balm- this was a sample dh didn't want. I was surprised at how soft this made my skin, I didn't like the fragrance though.

14/100
I'm hoping my stash will start getting smaller as Sephora cancelled their beauty box so I won't be getting new products every month. I am still getting liberty although they have put their price up. I might see how Aprils bd is and if it's rubbish I might cancel that as well.

L'Occitane turmeric handcream. Loved this. It was light and non-greasy but very moisturising.

Bare minerals original mineral veil. I love this. I have one in my stash but will RP when I'm a bit of the way through it.

No 7 retinol. Didn't notice anything spectacular.

Elemis cleansing balm. Love this but wouldn't pay full price for it. Currently using the Lacura dupe which is quite similar.

Thanks @sallyanne33 I think it was me asking about the Lush tofu shampoo.

@CorneliaStreet it can happen to the best of us 🤗

I have an empty to report:

  • The Body Shop Fuji Greent Tea eau de cologne: a great dupe for the Bulgari perfume but this range has been discontinued and also whole future of TBS is up in the air

Some very boring empties, but empties nonetheless:

Aveeno cream moisturising cream: lovely I like it , it’s a staple although boring as hell.

Nivea antiperspirant . I like the smell and freshness, although eventually I can start to smell my armpits. I will keep on searching for my HG.

Rochas byzance. It is a lovely vanilla heavy scent. Pera and neroli at the top, freesia and heliotrope in the middle notes and vanilla and musks as base notes. I like it but not to commit to a FB.

Cien sakura face mask. Cheap and well saturated tissue mask. It got me at sakura but I don’t feel my skin less tired nor refreshed. Won’t Rp

Estee Lauder 2 in 1 foam cleanser. Lasted for 3 uses which is a lot considering the size. Spreads well and the texture is quite pleasant. I hated the smell and when you wipe it it leaves the skin squeaky clean, literally. Quite stripping. Won’t buy this.

Thereislightattheendofthetunnel · 14/03/2024 13:21

Also @Fraaahnces the perfume I mentioned, Pura Vida is 250ml , not 150ml as I originally said. Sorry I messed up but it makes it even better value:D

Heated eye mask - I thought these were pointless until a Mumsnetter said she used them for headaches. It was great advice, it has provided relief from a headache (end of a migraine) that has been going on for three days. Wish I'd remembered sooner but more in the stash so next time!

Barbara Sturm anti-aging body cream - this was excellent. Deeply moisturising, non greasy and sinks straight in. More creams to get through in the stash but this is fab and if it wasn't so expensive I'd buy it.

An empty to report but no photo. A jar of Sunday Reilly Vitamin C moisturiser that I took away with me for the month and I actually finished it on the day I flew back which was great timing.

My stash has increased though with purchases and presents. Which is not ideal!

CorneliaStreet · 15/03/2024 07:46

Hope you had a great trip @Peridot1.

Peridot1 · 15/03/2024 07:52

I did thanks @CorneliaStreet. Ate too much, drank too much and did some lovely shopping. Spent time with fabulous friends. Enjoyed the sunshine. Loved it all.

LivingDeadGirlUK · 15/03/2024 11:50

So I have thrown out a load of hair styling products, thicken creams, styling creams etc that I've had years. I did this after running them through the Yuka app and seeing they have ingredients now banned in the EU in them.

This is good news as I take ages to get through hair stuff, as my hair is so thin I use very little product, I'm now going to crack into this years advent bits.

Fraaahnces · 15/03/2024 13:23

@Experiment627 - I love the BS Fuji Green Tea Fragrance. I think it’s closer to the Elizabeth Arden one. There are lots of delicious flankers that can be purchased super cheaply at our Boots equivalent here. My faves have been the Green Tea and Cucumber (doesn’t smell like a salad) and Green Tea and Lotus, and Green Tea and Fig (my current every day work perfume. About $10.00.)

Experiment627 · 15/03/2024 15:15

Thanks @Fraaahnces I am not sure I have tried the Elizabeth Arden one - I will see if I can smell when I next go through an airport. That said I currently have a massive perfume stash so am on a buying ban.

Welleda skin food - I always have a tube of this at hand. Very thick, oily and heavy. Has saved my skin many times.

It cosmetics Confidence in a cream - nice. Small jar so can’t quite comment on any results.

Benefit Deep Retreat - a mud mask. Didn’t notice any changes in my skin.

Gatineau Hydra Aura - sticky and not hydrating. Didn’t like it.

Drunk Elephant Protini sample - has a matt effect on skin. Not for me.

The Body Shop Mango scrub - honey like texture. Pleasant to use.

Soap and Glory scrub - nice, worth buying on sale. No too oily, but has a very sweet smell.

Loreal wrinkle expert - my 2nd jar. I generally like Loreal. Feels nice on skin, seems to plump it up a bit.

Echoline hair mask - gigantic tub. 😅Texture wise more like a conditioner so that’s how I used it.

PomsRun · 16/03/2024 09:21

@ItookYourJob is the weleda skin food body, face or both? 😊

ItookYourJob · 16/03/2024 09:41

@PomsRun This one is face and body “original” formula. They have a lighter version in a bright green tube as well. It wasn’t as effective in my opinion. I’ve also tried the body butter (in a tub, body only) but find this one the most soothing. 💕

SwordBilledHummingbird · 16/03/2024 10:26

My latest empties:

  • Apothecary Sleep Body Wash 150ml - nice enough but probably won't repurchase unless money is tight and I can't afford The White Company's version.
  • Molton Brown Brown Orange & Bergamot hand wash 100ml -love this and would repurchase but have a mountain of soap to get through.
  • Verden D'Orangerie hand & body wash 55ml - love this and already have a 500ml bottle to replace.
  • Clarins Hydra-Essentiel Matte Gel 5ml - fine but nothing special.
  • Diptyque La Droguerie votive - love this and will buy another. This was a surprise win actually, I got it in the advent candle and thought I would hate it but it's a lovely fresh herby/springy scent.
  • Thomas Street Herb Garden candle - nice enough but not that strong so unlikely to repurchase.
  • Cowshed Refresh Hand Cream 50ml - another surprise win from Cowshed's 2022 advent calendar. I don't need any hand cream at the moment but I would rebuy in the future.
  • The White Company Spa Retreat candle - this is lovely but I think it's discontinued though occasionally pops up in sales so might rebuy.
  • Verden Herbanum candle - nice but not a favourite so not a rebuy.
  • The White Company Loch Face & Body wash 100ml - this is DH's and it smells amazing on him. He doesn't need more toiletries right now but I would rebuy it for him in future.

Ah thank you. I have this tube lurking from a beauty box do will try it 😊

ItookYourJob · 16/03/2024 14:45

@PomsRun Be warned that it sits on skin for hours😅

OchonAgusOchonOh · 16/03/2024 17:15

I was a bit meh about this body butter. It was moisturising and smelt lovely but it was quite greasy and difficult to spread, even after warming up in my hands for a bit. I won't be RPing.

Fraaahnces · 17/03/2024 04:40

Back to the Bulgari Green Tea fragrance… I used to wear it all the time, until someone I worked with told me it smelled like “feminine hygiene products…” I couldn’t unsmell it and ended up giving the bottle to my aunt. Not even sure it even exists anymore.

Experiment627 · 17/03/2024 08:01

Oh man @Fraaahnces that is a shame! Last time I looked it was still there. I hope it is as vair nostalgic for moi. It is used my some hotels as the upgraded amenity.
